Would you like it if the villagers had three dimensional hair in the next game?

Many of the villagers have hair, but it is 2D and painted on. Would you like to see it fully three-dimensional like the player character's hair styles?

For now I voted no. To be quite honest there are a LOT of the villagers who I’d much prefer without hair altogether. It being painted on makes it much less obvious. Put a hat on them or squint and I can kinda ignore it. If it’s fully rendered 3D locks it would completely kill the vibe for me.

I’d say no. I don’t like hair on villagers and them not being prominent makes it less noticeable. Hair just looks weird on any character other than the humans.

I personally voted "IDK" I'm thinking about it and that honestly sounds pretty creepy perhaps however it might look good on SOME villagers I don't know
like someone else said above agreed there is some villagers I wish they never had hair to begin with.

Interesting question. I think it could work but it would depend on both the villager and the hairstyle. I could see Cyd with a mohawk or Gloria with the same hairstyle only poofed out more. But I think most villagers look better without much hair.

I'd be open to it. It will be interesting to see. It may even change how some feel about some villagers too.
I'm not sure that route will be picked though. It may make it a little difficult to put hats on them in a cookie cutter way, if that is something they want to continue doing. I'd miss seeing rain hats, but honestly, I prefer watching them hold items and do things. Umbrellas are more fun than rain hats.

honestly not sure, i kinda like the appeal of the 2d design on them but ive never really considered what adding 3d hair would entail

I think I'd be fine with it for at least some villagers, but I don't mind the villagers with hair to begin with. As long as they stuck to the haircuts these villagers already have and the simplified art style, I think it would look cute. ^^ Sometimes the flat hair looks kind of odd to me anyway—for example, one of my favorite villagers, Bree, has this adorable little bob going on, but from a lot of angles it looks like she only has bangs. Just the teeniest extra bit of volume would do wonders for her, I think. I also feel like it'd make the villagers without hair stand out a little more.

I would like it. I think it would look cute. Their flat weird looking painted on hair looks silly on most villagers. Those that have painted fake hair should have them 3D.

it’s a no for me. it’s an interesting idea, but i’m having a hard time imagining what 3D hair would even look like on them lol. it might work for villagers who already have ‘hair’, but i imagine it’d look pretty weird on those who don’t. i don’t mind villagers having hair, but i prefer it to be 2D.

straight up no - i can't really imagine what some of the villagers would look like and i don't think i want to.

Hair would look great on some characters but on others it would look pretty odd. As long as they get the textures right that is...

This would be interesting. Wouldn't know for sure without seeing it first. It's worth a shot though if it's deemed to be an improvement.

You mean like O'Hare, Monique, Carmen, and Paula? If so, I've seen some fanart of them like that (more Carmen than anyone else), and it looks pretty good. Then again, said fanart was in a very different style... I'll say maybe!
