this doesn't surprise me at all. on all on-line games, there's something like this. the site for the majority of on-line games sell their in-game currency on http://www.ige.com/. my character (the thing you see in my signature) is the character i've been playing since day 1 i began playing FFXI. i've paid 15 dollars a month for my account, for 5 years (which is roughly $900.00), and i could sell my character on e-bay for around 3,000 dollars. this is where i would go if i wanted to sell my character: http://www.accountswappers.com/FFXIquote.html.

a lot of people may read this and say,"LOL NO ONE WUD DO THAT!" but seriously... they do. it is technically illegal in these on-line games to sell anything in-game for real life money, but there's really no way you can get caught unless you admit to it in-game and someone reports you for it. i know someone who bought an account for 6,000 on FFXI...

sad really. i made a post a while back saying that i was just waiting for this type of stuff to pop up in this game as well, with it being on-line... looks like i was right!
I agree.
I can't believe the people who pay real money for in-game items.
Yes, I wasted $100.00 on Habbo, but I didn't make the same mistake on Gaia Online and never will.
Also, I heard that this parent bought this Level 70 Rouge World of Warcraft account that has all rare items for $10,000 for his/her kid's birthday. Now that's what I call stupid.
How do you know all these wacky stories?! You made a topic about them. LOL

I Did Some Hacking On Gaiaonline.
Hackers Would Sell Hacked Items For Real Money. Someone Would Buy Them, Then End Up Banned After They Get It.

it's sad how stupid some people are. *bids on lv 126 runescape account*
someone did sell a runescape account, but no bids.

the only thing i payed real life money for was gaiaonline, and that was 1 time out of 3 years of playing Xp

That's pretty sad.....selling virtual things for real life money?
That's more than two AC games put together, and seriously 32 bidders? People should just play their game the way it should be and not pay ridiculous amounts of money for bells. -.-*

no seriously I agree.

that would be funny if that dude actually gets at least one bid on on stuff that will probably not matter to someone in less than a days time. :p
