There was another clip I just listened to that was saying, Laurel. So that's weird that in the clip presented, people hear both. But in my case, I only hear one word and each clip says different words.

I can hear both.

It’s a man saying Laurel, but it sounds like a Grandma saying Yanny.

But, I can also hear “Jerry” a little bit.

Yanny! Always. We are having a big debate at work as to what everyone hears, but the majority also hears yanny.

funny i see this thread bc my friend only just showed me this yesterday. i definitely hear yanny, i don't see at ALL how anyone hears laurel. though i know it actually is a recording of the word laurel, so?? but i can't hear it at all, i only hear yanny, even if i'm trying not to.

I know how to get both by messing with it but I honest to God cannot understand how you'd hear anything but yanny from the original.

I just heard it transition from yanny to laurel within my own brain and I feel like a ghost just passed through me

I hear yanny and sometimes yammy
Knowing it's a recording of Laurel makes me feel so weirD

I generally hear Laurel every time. That said, when I was first introduced to this I initially heard Yanny but only the first time it was spoken and then it switched to Laurel. I listened to it a few more times afterward and still only heard Laurel. I tried it again today when clicking on this thread a moment ago and the same thing occurred, I heard Yanny the first time and then Laurel every time afterward.

The first time I heard of this, I thought it was 'yanny'.

I can hear both of the words now, but I hear 'yanny' much clearer.
