Splatoon Your experiences with Splatfests

This weekend, there is the Knight vs Wizard Splatfest and while I was the past days excited for it, the first day of it wasn't as fun as I thought, as I lost more then I won. Besides this, I played so many times against other Wizard teams (since I'm Team Wizard too), it's so frustrating... I never won a Splatfest before and I'm not sure if I'm gonna win this one. I mean, it is fun to be part of a Splatfest and it is lots of fun, but at the same
time, it gets frustrating when you can't really go forward, either because the other team is stronger then yours, your team sucks or your team has disconnects.

So yeah, what are your experiences with Splatfests? Did you had more wins or loses? And do you were more on Pearl's team or Marina's?

I enjoy 2's Splatfests more overall (less disconnects, better connections, and YOU AREN'T STUCK TO 3 MAPS FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT)... but the first game's were more memorable. I found some really great people on my teams, and the themes themselves were a lot better (I'm in NA, I should mention that since Europe's themes were... yeah...). The only real memorable moment I have with 2's Splatfests is back in the Flight vs Invisibility Splatfest, I ended up playing against Murray somehow which was cool. Shifty Stations can be really good or really bad, and this one is kinda average.

For what team I pick, I pick whatever team I like more. If I didn't care for either team, then in the first game I joined Marie's team. In this game, I'll pick whatever team my friends picked so that I can play with them (I wanna say I'm on Marina's team more but I'm not 100% sure).

This was my first Splatfest so I wasn't really expecting much but it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. My first team I joined (wizards) was on like a 6 game win streak, and after we lost I didn't have any more problems with online players than normal. It got a little boring after a bit honestly so I'm happy its back to normal and I got my prizes

I had a great first Splatfest! Became Knight Queen quicker than I thought I would, mostly due to my teammates lol. I got to pay in the same group as my friends which was also nice. Had lots of fun

Was my first splatfest too! My main goal was to scrub my gear as many times as I could but it felt even more grindy than usual. It was fun for a while but I basically quit after I hit king. The extra snails was nice.

I really enjoy playing all the Shifty Station maps. I always look forward to seeing what Marina put together. My favourite so far is the map used for Salsa vs Guacamole (which was my first Splatfest). I also enjoy being able to play consistently on the same team as my friend and my hubby. It's hit or miss when it's just two of us, but when all three of us are on a team, we do pretty good.

Unfortunately, being out of town with bad wifi, I didn't get to farm ability chunks very much this last Splatfest.

I've been in many splatfests and get most turf ink during them. They're really fun overall. The gameplay is pretty fair and people act nice for once I wouldn't do one again though. Too busy.

I think as far as Splatfest teams are concerned, I think I've gone for Marina's team slightly more than Pearl. Pearl has a tendency to win, and there hasn't been many splatfests when I've been on the winning team lol.

I kinda like splatfests in the way that people take turf wars more seriously and competitively. Your less likely to come across a team that slacks off. But you can also came across teams that really don't click either, and it's like you're fighting a downhill battle for the whole 3 minutes. But I think most times are okay. I haven't had too many problems with disconnects, although that goes in general for splatoon 2 compared to splatoon 1. I love the night themed stages and the plaza is always super cool to walk through c:

I usually find it quite hard to grind though. I don't often reach the Queen rank, I'm usually satisfied on Champion or Defender as it takes so long to get to the highest rank and I lose interest. I try to grind for chunks on my shirt though, it's always the best time to do it as it's so cheap.

Honestly, I only did one Splatfest and that was the Leonardo vs. Raphael one. Being an avid TMNT fan, I was prepared to fight to the death to defend my territory... but honestly I think I ended up crying like three times because I lost about fifteen battles in a row.

Even though I don't participate in Splatfest, I always join the team that seems to have less members because that's usually always the one that wins. Usually I join Pearl's team because Marina's team is always packed with a 50/50 mix of devoted players and mindless fanboys. However, in the hare vs. tortoise fest, I've joined Marina's, as in my plaza I see pink shirts everywhere.

splatfest is my fav part of the game!! i tend to somehow always side with pearl everytime (except last splatfest, i chose team wizard). i really like how you have a constant team and if you don't like how your teamwork is you can just switch lobbies. i've had really good teammates that know what they're doing // and i'm also a try hard so i do try to reach rank queen when i can. and it's a sweet feeling when some players add me and join my lobby even after the splatfest is over and we kinda just play together even tho we don't ??? know each other or talk?? lol

i actually can't wait for the next splatfest!!

that happened with me for the last splatfest :> played with one team for ages and we all added each other and turf together from time to time. i'm excited for splatfest coming up but my internet connection has been crap lately so i dont know how much i'll actually be able to play this time round. if it does work miraculously, i'm excited to team up with MochiACNL and Breath Mint!! go team tort :'D

So this weekend, there is the Hare vs Tortoise Spaltfest. So far, it's ok, I had a few times some pretty good teams. I'm at team Hare, not sure if they gonna win but it's fun anyway.

Also had some connection errors, which sucked the most, especially if you're about to win and then boom, connection error. My internet
however works fine though.

I love this splatfest's shifty station. It's so much fun. So far I feel like I've been put it more mirror matches though, which is kinda annoying since I've already hit max rank and mirror games don't add to clout.

I love this splatfest's shifty station. It's so much fun.

The Shifty Station is the best stage in the game, imo. Too bad it's only available during Splatfests. Recently, I've been on the losing side of Splatfests. The highest rank I ever got was Champion.

Also, I would recommend using a LAN connection, as you're less likely to crash than with a WLAN connection.
