I'm definitely going to add Margie, maybe Rosie through amiibos. However, I want to see fresh faces & cycle through new villagers I haven't got a chance with. So, I chose whatever feels right in the moment.
As slow as possible. I'm in no rush to have people move in. Plus, having the feeling of only two or three villagers with me sounds like fun! It really adds to the deserted island feel. And it will let me get to know my villagers well.
i?m torn between wanting new villagers as soon as possible (since that?s part of the fun for me) and spacing it out over time as i won?t know how all i want to landscape and plan my island for a while aha
as for player characters, i?m planning on having 3 c?:
I hope we're able to prevent new villagers from moving in for as long as we feel like! I love the idea of spending a decent period of time with only my starter 2 on a big empty island while I figure out what I want to do with it, and then only adding more when I get a chance to invite dreamies.
As soon as possible. I want to talk to lots of different villagers and I think the beginning 2 just isn't enough. I hope at the very least they have more dialogue. Not all at once but throughout the several times I will be chatting with them all individually per day. I don't want them mentioning that I don't have any other friends bc I interract with them a lot
I feel like villagers moved in too fast at the beginning of New Leaf. You more or less get one every 2-3 days until you max out. It'd be nice if it took longer than that. I'd be OK with 1 a week. But I don't see it being that slow.
If I end up really liking my starters I don't think I'll be in a huge rush to keep moving villagers in right away. I would really like it to feel like it's just the three of us for a while. Then after making some progress on the island it will feel like a reward that word is getting around and making villagers want to move in.
It's possible I might Amiibo in Wolfgang early on though, he's been my main buddy in every game. It might sound silly, but I feel like he would really like living on an underdeveloped island and roughing it for a bit, lol.
The exception would be if I ran into someone on a tour and really clicked with them... then I'll be asking them to move in.
I'm always excited for new villagers, so I think I'd move them in as soon as I possibly can considering if I like the villagers being currently offered. I plan to have 4 players in my town - me and my family shortly afterwards. I'm so excited for multiplayer with this!
I would say whenever it feels right, I don't need all villagers immediately on my island. I will focus mostly at the beginning on building out my island and explore everything, so they can actually take their time when it comes to move in.
i'm not going to move them in too quickly, i think it'll be fun to experience the deserted island vibe for a while before i start developing the island
I?m going to just move them in as the game decides. But I will be choosing plots for them to move into. My husband and I always usually play in the same town so we?ll make his house the day after launch and play together.
I'll have to see how the moving in works first and depending on who my first two villagers are I might move in someone else faster or slower. If we can see who wants to move in and pick them from a List, I'll be quicker with moving in dream villagers.
Honestly I Didn't even know that we could "time" when new villagers arrive. All I knew was we had the starting 2. Honestly I'd rather space it out so that I can A) unlock terraforming and get my town looking how I want before people move in and B) Unlock things because I rather not have 10 villagers and no shops/museum/etc. I want my town to look even and develop with some sort of rhythm.
