My mum has put up with animal crossing for years. Since I was a little girl playing it endlessly till today where I'm now a teenager and play it... endlessly. She was never bothered, but recently she saw an advert for New Leaf and saw the hammock PWP. She's OBSESSED with me getting it. Whenever she sees me on AC, she asks about the hammock. She's desperate to see it in real life.

I also recently found my friend's little sister plays AC. I told her to give it a try and voila, she is now addicted. We connect all the time, this is awesome because I haven't wi-fi'd in YEARS.

This leads me to the question, what do your parents/friends/partners think of your playing AC? (Or do they not know?)

My brother played a bit of AC before but it's not really a game for him. My sister, on the other hand likes AC. She doesn't play it anymore but she used to love to fish in the game and she helped me catch a lot of fish.

I used to play the GameCube version with my sister for hoursssss when we were younger. Then we grew up and apart so I'm the only one that plays in the house now. My dad used to play N64 with us but that was the last gaming system he used.
Now, my boyfriend knows I play Animal Crossing and he sometimes plays on my file cause he doesn't have his own. He had Wild World so he really likes New Leaf.
My parents stopped caring about the games I play when I got to be around 12. I only play Nintendo games anyway, so they weren't worried.

My partner knows I play ACNL, he brought my 3DS for me for Christmas two years ago and I only played it for a couple of weeks and he got abit worried cause he thought he wasted his money but as soon as I brought AC, I have played my DS every single day and he is happy that I found a game that I love so much. He loves the fact that it keeps me amused for hours and hours cause I don't annoy anyone when I play it lol.

My little brother has ACNL too, but he barely plays it anymore. His town has been abandoned for over a week and a half now. He's more of an Xbox/Wii person, I guess. He enjoys games with levels and achievements.

My eldest brother knows that I play it. He owns an XL3DS and said at one point that he'd be getting ACNL, but we haven't talked in a while (He's 23, he lives in his own house) so I'm not sure if he got it or not.

My last brother, who is older than me, but younger than my eldest bro, knows I play ACNL and teases me for it all the time. But I think he secretly likes it. Because one time I left my 3DS on the couch to get something to eat from the fridge, and I come back and he's playing it, fishing and stuff. I was like 'I knew it -u-'

My mom knows I play it as well, but she never mentions it or asks about it. She's not a video game person. cx

So my whole house knows my obsession. ♥

daughter who is 3 loves and plays it
husband USE to play it years ago but does not anymore, he got it for me.
my friends some of them like it.

My bf bought me New Leaf and my purple 3DS. He also bought his own New Leaf copy and we play together :)

My family was a little concerned when I first started playing ACNL because ALL of my free time was taken up by it. It takes some time to build your town up, but now the town is running smoothly so I don't have to spend all of my free time playing the game. My sister (59 yrs old) wants to (sort of play) my game once in a while. I say "sort of play" because she can't even really get the character thru a doorway, let alone fish or catch bugs. She does want me to show her what is in the stores and she tells me what she wants me to buy for her (I have a 2nd character named after her). Just yesterday, I was showing her the Home Showcase and she had me order her 3 items from a few houses.

I play Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon which I took over from my daughter who is now 14.
*Family ask me whether I am talking to them or my game A/C or HM LOl!
*Colleagues at work ask about my progress in the games.
*My son who is 23 has bought me both A/C and HM games because he knows I LOVE playing.
*Partner asks if I remembered to water my flowers.
***Last Christmas I bought DS consoles for my niece's little children 8 and 5 years old. I am about to get them both New leaf... yes, I am on a recruitment mission here.

My mother's practically an expert on AC despite never playing it. That's just how much I've spoken about it over the years. xD Mind, it's exactly the same with my Dad and WoW. :p I asked her earlier if I'd ever mentioned Julian to her... and then she scolded me for not telling her earlier that her favourite mythical creature existed in the game with one of her favourite boys names. I then proceeded to find pics for her and now I think she has a fave villager. x) My Dad's interested in the trading aspect of the game and often asks what I'm doing. Mind, he's just as interested in what I'm doing when I'm infecting the world in Plague.

Some of my friends play, but we don't really talk about it.

Actually.. With all that being said, I think I like these forums so much because I have people to talk about the game with.
None of my friends play so I come here to chat about it.

My Mum was never bothered about WW when I first got it, but a few years later she tried it and was hooked. Now she has WW, LGTTC and NL! :D

Dad does play some games too, but mainly just a leisurely game of pool on his pc lol.

My parents don't really distinguish between different games, so they don't really know anything about AC. Though my mum did help me out with decorating one of my rooms since she's into stuff like that, haha.

I also only have one friend who plays NL, and we only get to play together now and then because of schedule conflicts.

So I don't really have anyone to talk to about AC outside of forums.

My mom thinks it's adorable and is always asking to see what I'm doing in the game, what I'm wearing, what my newest pwp is, etc. She's said a few times she wants to get her own 3ds for it, but is unsure because she's only played ipad games. If I can find a good sale I might buy it for her birthday or christmas and help until she figures it out :)

I have one friend in real life who plays and we met because of AC!

My Mom, though generally not super uber mega interested in most my games, always takes at least a minimal interest simply because it's something that I like. She's just one of those really awesome, supportive parents.

I'd definitely say that she's a bit more interested in NL, though. So much so that I decided to make the right room in my house her room. lol.

She also loves seeing little tidbits of my game, i.e. the seasons, holidays, random happenings, my clothes/furniture, and so on.

My 21 year old daughter plays, along with my youngest son. My husband takes an interest in what things look like in my house or town, but he usually teases me and my son about playing until one or the other needs the power cord.

My parents were the ones who bought me Animal Crossing for Gamecube and DS. My partner bought me City Folk for the Wii so I guess they don't mind it. PLUS my mum plays Animal Crossing Gamecube all the time

My mum loves Animal Crossing, she thinks it's a great hobby for me and the animals are cute. Dad doesn't care... pretty much as usual for cute little games like that LOL. I tried to show him but he shows no interest soo... And my sister plays it too and she loves it! So does one of my cousins. He played it on gamecube with us.

Friends know I play, I don't stop talking about it at school. I accidentally asked how many bells someone had on their school-card thingy. It was super awkward... "Isn't that from Animal Crossing?" haha DAMN. But yeah, I took it to school once. I didn't talk to anyone that day... ;_;

I want to get my mom to play animal crossing with me ;_; but she doesn't understand video games at all.
I convinced my best friend to get animal crossing but she hasn't yet. Last time we hung out she was playing in my town xD but she said she has to save money for school or whatever.
None of my other friends really care for video games though :( except for some of my guy friends of course
