    as long as the pokemon originate from a game of a different region it's fair game

    yes, that IS the masuda method :p
    it just needs to 1 from another region.

    the masuda method is a method of breeding to increase shiny odds even further.
    if you use a japanese ditto, and you own ( english ) charizard, your odds have a boosted increase.

    it does NOT work with pokemon from another langue received from a trade in game ( such as the german megikarp from gen 5, among others )

    i'm not using any method, it was just the luck of the draw that it was shiny, just like how i got my halucha.
    halucha was also just the luck of the draw.
    i do how ever have the shiny charm, so i do have increased odds of getting a shiny.
    i am willing to try the masuda method but i need a 6 IV non english ditto to do that.
    and no one seems to have that.

    and we really should battle at some point when you're ready.
    but i gotta warn ya, i'm not going down easy.
    as my current win percentage is 82,1 and will only go up
