  • Honestly, family issues/problems are just the worst. Especially it's involving you, directly. It just feels like there is a massive burden weighing down on your shoulders, and nothing you can ever seem to do is right. I think... Well, that's totally a justifiable fear to have! I think there have been cases where people have regretted their choices to cut ties with their family, but sometimes... We have to do things which may not seem like the right thing to do. Obviously this doesn't apply to ALL scenarios, but, in difficult situations where we are unsure on what to do, there is no right or wrong answer. We just do what we have to do and we get through it, because that's life. And you can't regret your choices in life! There's no way you can. :( It's better to try and forget any regrets you have.
A good strategy for Arowana Mall is to try to cover the central point and then attack all at once. If your team doesnt stay together then you'll just lose. Which might be why you aren't doing so well, maybe you keep getting on bad teams. :( Just focus on getting the central point and killing the enemies there. OR, if the enemies charge into your base... Then you CAN always charge forward into their base because it's completely unprotected so you can cover loads of ground! Using the ink strike also helps too because you can kill enemies in an area where there are lots of people who are attacking at once, and then once they're all gone, you can cover more space. Another good thing with Arowana Mall is if you use the roller, the Kraken is great to use to charge into the enemy base. Just charge up so you can use the Kraken. Once you're in the central point, you can kill the enemies up there (because you're basically invincible), OR just go ahead and charge straight into their base!
Yeah yeah, I think they are hard to come by. It's hard to meet people (especially girls... not to stereotype or anything x3) who share the same love of videogames/Nintendo as me, I think. It's only really unless you come on websites like TBT or other gaming forums (or what ever other things you may like) that you will meet people who share the same interests. Which sucks because then they often live very far away!

Yeah! I've got my first shift in a few weeks time so I've got plenty of time to prepare for it! Feeling a bit nervous but I'm looking forward to being able to earn some money and hopefully build my confidence up a bit. :)
So you aren't ALWAYS stuck with them forever. You have that choice whether or not to keep those ties. You can choose your family, in my opinion. Sometimes I feel like I consider my friends to be my family members. My friends often say I can be quite maternal and caring at times, and I often find my friends can also be very maternal/paternal too, it's very reassuring.

Yeah yeah! Sometimes the artists comes up with a more unique style or story because they want to create their own flair so they can be recognised. :) And well the comic was called "Soft" by Jane Mai. My best friend recommended it to me. It's about two lesbians haha. I'll say no more! If I tried to explain the plot I'd be afraid it would be ruined for you. :p Apparently it was based on some horror films too? I hate horror films but the comic wasn't scary at all :x it was cute and sweet and made me smile.
Thanks! It always helps knowing you're not the only one struggling through a tough time. Sometimes I feel like I'm just not justified in feeling angry/upset at times? My parents split up last year so I've had to deal with a lot of bad stuff... Including them getting new partners and having to deal with them. Then they make me feel bad for not liking their new partners. :\ But idk. It's so complex and complicated and I often feel like I am just being a stupid teenager. But knowing that there are other people who are having problems with family too, perhaps in similar scenarios to you, it really helps and makes you feel reassured. It makes you feel like... Your emotions ARE justified. And you're right. But even if you have a bad family or whatever, just remember that, once you move out and are able to support yourself on your own, it's your own choice as to whether or not you choose to maintain that relationship with your family. :(
Yeah yeah! ^^ And yes I like that the matches are short. It sort of gives you bursts of action and then it hypes you up for the next match so you keep playing over and over and over. Yeah I like Walleye Warehouse, that's a fun map too! :) There's lots of strategies you can take on that one. I think my least favourite map though might be Arowana Mall, idk, it might be because the map is really thin so it feels kinda claustrophobic, and I like maps where you can just go around and splat everything, such as Kelp Dome. You have to take an interesting strategy to Arowana Mall though. Like, once you've controlled that central point on top of the slope, then you can go ahead and charge into the enemy base. xD Or the Bad Guys' base! :p
And I start my job sometime in the summer holidays, although I'm not exactly sure when! x3 I'm going in for training tomorrow but then I think I have to do some more training to learn how to use the equipment since I'm working in a shoe shop and I have to measure childrens feet and such, and then I'll mostly be working during the summer since it's a summer job.
Yeah :) It was cool, I've already read the comic I bought and I wanna buy more haha. It was mostly just like a lot of independent exhibitors. They weren't like very famous. It's not like you could go there and buy comics from big franchises so! Which was nice because sometimes smaller, lesser known artists also have very interesting ideas that we've never seen before. And yeah I hope I do get to see her. :) It's always a lot of fun when we hang out. I don't really have many friends in real life who like the same stuff as me and are able to appreciate the same things as me, so it was fun just walking about, singing our favourite songs and joking around, and we were talking about Happy Home Designer and how excited we were for that. It's always nice having a friend who you can just talk to them about ANYTHING.
That's okay! And oh gosh :( Family problems suck. Well if it's any consolation, I've been going through family problems for a year now, and it's just been on and off, on and off. It's horrible. Because you're forced to be around these people so there's no way you can escape it, and being stuck in a toxic environment really drains you. All I can say is that know that you're not alone. We're all fighting our own internal battles, and this is just another one you must face. It usually makes me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one having to suffer through this. Things will get better, you just have to keep persevering. And ohhh no :( I know what you mean. That sucks and I am so sorry you are feeling like this. -hug- I'm glad you are feeling better though already. Just keep being positive and keep doing your best each day! That's all you can do. Things will work out. :)
Yeah. :) I know what you mean, turf wars are so addictive! It's like you'll keep saying "One more match, one more match", and before you know it, 2 hours have passed. I think it's because the matches are so short and action packed, so if you do badly in one match you just wanna have another go to redeem yourself, and if you do well in another match, you just wanna keep going because you've got the hang of it now! And yeah I think it just takes practice getting used to different weapons. We all sort of work out our own strategies eventually on what works best with each map and each weapon. Usually I find once the maps have to reshuffle I end up doing badly again because I might not be so used to that map, or I might do better because I'm better at that map. I think my favourite maps strategy wise are Salt Spray Rig and Kelp Dome. :)
That's alright! And oh no. :( What's wrong? If you wanna rant about it to me then you can always feel free to (in PMs or on Skype, I don't mind! n_n), but I really hope you are feeling better soon. <3 And I'm doing well thank you! Feeling happier knowing that the school year is coming to an end now. I met up with one of my online friends this weekend. She's definitely my best friend and I always love spending time with her, even if it's just for like a day or so. We went to a comic festival and I managed to buy this really cool comic... now I just wanna buy more. We then went to a huge shopping mall where we had a look around and got some lunch. I'm hoping I'll be able to go stay at her house during the summer holidays. I think I'll be able to, but it just depends on whether or not I can get time off work! Since... Well, I got a job! :D I had an interview the other day, and I got a call like on Friday telling me I got the job. Now I'm looking forward to being able to start.
And yeah yeah! ^^ Turf war is the best mode so far, I don't really like doing ranked matches because I think it can be pretty unbalanced at times... :\ I mean turf wars are too but I just find them much more enjoyable. It's like "just splat everything you can!" but ranked battles, you have to be a biiiit more tactical. I'm sure if I do give ranked battles more of a shot I'll enjoy them but yeah. :) I'm the same as you!
Yeah yeah! xD I think that's the problem, you get into the swing of using a certain weapon, so changing to another one feels so unnatural and weird, and you end up just dying loads. I hadn't played Splatoon in a few days and even then that was kind of jarring for me because I just got a bit lazy with hiding from enemies and stuff, I'd just charge right at them! :p And yeah! Single player certainly is... Interesting. It's a very quirky game, to say the least! I think the single player is fun, you get to do some cool missions and the level designs are really unique - as is the music - but yeah, I don't think it's AMAZING but I do enjoy it. And I mean you do unlock cool stuff through it so. :)
Hi! I must apologise for the somewhat late reply! I've been unbelievably busy this week! I've had to go out shopping, I've had a job interview, ballet lessons, not to mention trying to catch up on watching E3, Steven Universe, Game of Thrones, etc etc. So I haven't been on the forums that much lately. Anyway it's nearly the weekend and I'm almost done with school so yay! :)

That's true! :\ Yeah you are right, I guess though that if booklets won't scan properly that people can still read them through the hard copy, it would be silly if for some reason you couldn't. I mean not that people would be able to read my exams anyway because my handwriting gets so sloppy because I'm trying to write fast, and I usually have neat handwriting. But ahh, I hope we can do ours on computers soon. I type so much quicker so... Would be easier. >_<
Yeah yeah! Or if you're charging into like an enemy base and there's like someone firing at you and you don't think you will survive it, then you can use the bubble to defend yourself and then get them instead. It's pretty good! And yes it is hard to use the roller, i think it just takes a lot of practice to get used to it. At one point I could only seem to use the roller because I was bad at aiming but with some practice I managed to get better at using ranged weapons, but now I'm bad at the roller again. I think it's quite hard to use but eventually you end up working out some good techniques/tactics an dstuff! And yeah yeah you unlock it by playing single player/story mode. You unlock blue prints of weapons and then you give them to Sheldon and he'll make you new weapons. It's really good but I think you have to be level 13 to use it? :\ Which is kind of annoying, since when I unlocked it I had to grind and level up before I could use it.
Yeah I think if you're actually looking at stuff on the computers or typing up your essay on the computer, I think that's okay, but if you're like searching for stuff then that seems a bit unfair. Unless it's like some sort of open book test? Idk... Even then it seems pretty weird to me! Maybe I should try searching up about it myself since she didn't elaborate too much or it could just be a rumour. :x And wow that's so lucky! It seems much better than having to sit in an exam hall just writing everything out. I guess in some ways, schools here don't want to rely too heavily on computers because if one breaks (like they do usually) or if electricity goes out or stuff like that, then we're kind of stuck. Sometimes it's just better to rely on paper based exams, but... Would be much better if I could type instead of write!
Yay! And oh yes same! The Splattershot Jr is great, I agree with you there. I like the special (using the bubble), and the bombs, I think it's a really good all rounder. You can splat people, but it's rapid fire so you can paint everything quickly, and use the bubble to defend yourself, AND the bombs for like ranged attack. I used the roller a lot, and it is good, but you really have to learn how to use it! Like it's better to sneak up on people from behind where they are defenceless with the roller, or get them when they can't defend! It's much more close combat so you have to be careful. And if I'm ever in trouble then I just use the Kraken and splat everyone that's shooting me! :x As for me, I use the Aerospray MG I think?? I like the special (inkstrike) and the use of the mines... it's also really rapid fire so you can paint everything (which I often end up being left to do since most teams I go on don't like painting things.... :\).
Yeah! I think it is because it's a joined honours class (so I take two subjects) so I think I have to apply in some different way. :\ I will talk to my mentor but it's just made things a million times more confusing! I don't even want to think about university to be honest! :)

I guess that is the problem if they're all organised and straight! That being said I found a really good guide book in a shop today that comes with good recommendations of places to go and see and nice restaurants, and it comes with a pull-out map so I will maybe buy that when I have enough money! ^^
Yep! That's definitely true. And yeah, I think so? Well my friend was telling me about it the other day. I don't see how that would be fair at all if they were just searching for different answers. and what if the internet just cut out in the exam? It doesn't seem too reliable to me. :c It would be fair enough if we like used computers to watch small video clips or see diagrams and stuff, and maybe tablets to draw our answers onto. And ohh wow that sounds great! I hope they do sometime soon. :( It would be really nice if I could just type up my answers rather than write them out. My hand always feels like it's going to fall off at the end of an exam. xD
And yeah! I will buy a map or something (although I am terrible at map reading). You can get travel books so I would hope that would give me good suggestions on where to go in that haha. ^^ Oh yeah! I heard that the streets in New York are all like in rows and columns so I'll try to be careful I don't do that. I guess it must make things a bit easier anyway! And oooh hehe, well I am sure it is amazing. ^^ And yeah we're going on the boat tour, too! It's so exciting haha! :x

Awesome yay! I think I might be free on Sunday because I'm at my dad's house on Saturday! I can't wait to play haha. What weapon do you use in Splatoon?
