In this event, you are tasked with writing a letter to TBT's future community. These letters will not resurface until ten years from now in 2034. How much will TBT's community change between now and then? How many of our current friends will still be here, and how many new faces will have become regulars in that time? If there's anything you want to share with TBT's future community about what it is like to be a member in 2024, this is your opportunity to do so!

Dear Future TBT,

We have a lot of collectibles right now, including those released before the software switch and after the software switch. How many collectibles are there? What categories of collectibles do you have? Have you implemented any new features? I recently thought of collectible folders and an add-on where you can choose how big your collectible sidebar is. This year has also been a very big year for events. We had a huge TBT Fair, an Egg Hunt with all of the egg collectibles as prizes, a second Haunted Carnival, a second World Championship event, and even an event dedicated to the end of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. How different are events in the future? Have they made more real-life prizes? I would like to see how different the site is.

are wands cheaper there? how many fairs have there been between here and there? did the moon wand rerun? did the shooting star rerun??

i think we're all patiently waiting for the next animal crossing instalment. in the meantime, it's been fun playing various games with the TBT community. i personally have fun with the occasional tbt splatoon sessions! People here are super fun to play with.

hope there are just as much or even more active members in the future! it's always so fun seeing new faces and getting to know old ones too. the events have made it so much easier to interact with members. im really thankful to have found this lovely community.

i hope everyone has achieved their dream collectibles or other tbt goals then. <3

I'm sure there are plenty of new faces around now, and some old as well. Am I still active here? Or is my name unfamiliar to you, before your time? At the time of writing this, the most recent Animal Crossing game is New Horizons. How many new Animal Crossing games are there now? Two maybe? Hope you guys have been enjoying the new game(s). I bet there have been many fun events held and new collectibles released on TBT during the past ten years. Also, it's TBT's 30th birthday! Happy birthday TBT. Currently, we're celebrating TBT's twentieth birthday, and it's been a fun year packed full of events. Is the thirtieth birthday year just as busy? Hope you've all been enjoying the celebrations. Well, either way, I wish you all the best, and I hope TBT is still thriving~

Am I still active here, or did I fall off the face of the forums! Better yet, are the forums still lively? I know it was miraculous in 2024, but it would be amazing if TBT were still going strong in 2034.

Ten years from now? I’m old at that point. Are there still Camp TBT events? Those were my favorite. I hope y’all get to experience them.

What sorts of crazy events have taken place on this site in the last 10 years? Am I still active here? If not, I hope the new regulars are as based as the old regulars were. How's the anime thread doing? Has it been dead and buried or replaced, or is it still kicking strong? What sorts of INSANE collectibles have been released by this time? Is there a new AC installment, and is it actually fun and enjoyable? Is Pokemon still terrible, or has it reclaimed its former glory? Which staff members have retired and which cool new people have joined the staff here? On that note, I hope the events and camaraderie during them are just as fun as they were in the past.

Hey guys! What's happened in the past 10 years? Am I still around here? I'll be well into adulthood when you read this, but I hope I'm still kicking around my favourite corner of the Internet! Is Camp TBT still a thing? It's my favourite event by far. Are the staff treating you guys well? Is Jeremy still causing chaos? Is the community still going strong? Everyone here in 2024 is amazing, and I hope all the new people who have replaced us old folk are as well! Is there a new AC game out? Are there multiple? Have the games improved over the years?

I hope all is still well in 2034! I'd hate to see this place die out.

If you are reading this in 2034, then it has been 20 years since I joined the forum. If I am not still around, then something terrible may have happened. I do not intend on just leaving like that.

Anyway, how is the forum now? Is it still active? Is there a new Animal Crossing game? Are there multiple? Are they still fun? Are TBT's Easter events still a nightmare? Has the forum perhaps gone through another layout change? Is there finally a dark mode? Do you guys still enjoy seeing The Woods section of the forum get opened for Halloween and Friday the 13th? If so, is the thread where everyone shared an island still going? The duck thread? The Woods theme petition thread? Haha, maybe I am asking too many silly questions.
I just hope things are okay!

i would assume there would be at least 1 new animal crossing game. is it any good?

Dear future TBT,

What's the new Animal Crossing like? Has it even released yet? Is it better or worse than AC:NH? Did they perhaps re-release New Horizons? That'd be silly if they did that. What if they remastered New Leaf? That could be cool. Have they brought back any old villagers like Tarou? I really want Tarou, he looks cute. Do amiibo cards still work or do they want us to buy something entirely new?? Basically, how greedy is 2034 Nintendo?

Oh, are there any Cat villager collectibles yet? Hopefully Punchy, Bob, or Lolly. A Bunnie collectible would be cute too though.. Is there a Red Heart Wand yet? Cuz I want one??? Maybe some different colored Alien Plush collectibles??

Has there been a western themed Bell Tree Fair yet? I am manifesting it. Do people still say that? Manifesting? People are always manifesting things in 2024. How many ads are on YouTube these days, 20? Is YouTube even around or has it been replaced by TikTok or something?

I got a bit off track there, sorry. Have the TBT staff taken a break yet? They really ought to!

Am I even still active? I hope so, this place is pretty cool. Then again, I will be old, oof, wow I'll have to upgrade to Millysaurusrexsr... I hope I will have the TBT saved up for a username change by then.

Dear Future TBT,

Do we finally have choosable themes? That's really what I want to know.

How active is the site? About the same as 2024, or more, or less? Are there more or less events, and how popular are they compared to this year?

Hopefully by 2032 there's been at least 2 new Animal Crossing games. Have they been better or worse than New Horizons? Does crafting still exist? Have they attracted a huge load of new members to the site, and have they stuck around or fallen off?

I wonder how different the members are to today, how different the staff members are, if the regulars have all changed on the site. Hopefully, it's still as great a place as it is in 2024.

It has been years and coco finally reigns supreme as the best loved villager and in every future accounts on tbt will automatically get a coco collectable when they pledge the allegiance to queen coco!

Hopefully in the time that has passed Nintendo has released the successor to the switch and when the next animal crossing game is released we get the pop tart design console as that will forever remain my favourite design of a console released

Dear Future TBT Community~

I can already tell that in ten years time, it will all be very strange for sure.
And as long as the community are connected, respectful this fourm can survive for years on end!

We're currently in limbo when it comes to a new animal crossing game.
I just hope our new game after ACNH is better, dialogue wise and loads of activties to do with each other. Of course, you all know, and can either sadly laugh at our predicament or smile knowing we got what we wanted.

What I wanna know is what future games will be like for our future generation!!
Can older villagers and special characters return? Tarou, my beloved. Any new villagers or species? Will bats be finally be in the game? I think everyone wants bats.
Will there be any connections to other games like when we have Sanrio and Zelda? Did they return? Is Pokemon one of them? Please let it be.

What are the collectibles like? Do we finally have a twig wand? The only wand I could ever hope to have? Have I finally gotten a moon bunny collecible?
What are the newer collectibles like?

I've not mentioned this idea bedore, but can we rotate collectibles? So they're a different postition? So the line ups look really cool? Do we still just have 5 in a line or more?

How much chaos is there with the egg hunts and mirrors? BaCK iN mY DAY the search bar was removed so egg hunts were a nightmare. Have they done that again? And if so, lets hope I ddin't take part, I would've had a migraine. XD
Is Zipper still creepy, or is he more toned down; or even creepier than usual? Did we ever find out who Zipper really was?

Have our staff finally gotten the rest and relaxation as they deserve?
And if not, you know what you need to do!

Have we ever tried to meet up as a tbt group before? That sounds like fun. A lot of work im sure.
Are Wix and Pierrot still around or have they found somewhere else to haunt?

You better research the history of TBT for future quizzes! It's so fun.

I do hope the site is still very active, otherwise old Giddy here will be here to make sure we can get more active users (I'll try and still be here either way)

Hopefully the world hasn’t been destroyed or overtaken by aliens. How are things? Is it much hotter now thanks to global warming or have scientists found a way to reverse it? What is video gaming like now? Are the Pokémon and Animal Crossing series still continuing to release new games? Hopefully you will never have to go through a global pandemic like we did.

Hiya! Wonder if I'm still a regular. Did the staff ever take their well deserved break from releasing events constantly? Can we finally choose the position of collectibles? What about those customizable avatars? What about a dark theme?
I hope the next Animal Crossing game has released by now, and I hope it's good. Is NH still relevant at all?
What about Pocket Camp complete? I hope the economy of this site is in a better place in the future, it's currently very difficult to earn tbt and it takes a while to buy or sell collectibles. Finally I want to say how insane it is that the site could be 30 years old, that's quite an accomplishment! Thanks to the future staff for keeping it going, this place means a lot to us! I wish you all the best TBT!

I expect I’m not here anymore in 2034. I bet TBT and animal crossing are so different by then. I hope it’s all still going well!

What’s the next animal crossing called?
Animal Crossing: New Planet? New World? New Landscapes?

Did terraforming go away or is it just a part of AC now?

What are TBT collectibles like now? Can they be rearranged?? I wonder if there’s a Drift collectible in 2034… Any new fans of Drift (the villager) on TBT?

Do amiibo cards still exist? The Sanrio villagers? How many villagers can you have in your town now? Is it towns or did we stick to islands? Do the NPCs like Tortimer and Resetti and Joan still exist in the games? I worry for their future, NH seemed like their finale but I hope they’re back! I would assume there have been 2 new games since New Horizons, or maybe you’re currently waiting for the second.

Dear TBT of 2034,

Hi, it’s Meri from 2024! I’ll be in my mid-thirties the next time this surfaces (my god), but hopefully I’m still active enough that you all recognize me—and I hope in 2034 I’ll still be seeing many of the same faces I see on TBT today. There’re users I haven’t seen in a while who I hope have returned (if not as regulars, then at least popping in now and again!), and I imagine there’ll be plenty of new regulars in ten years’ time. Maybe some of them will become close friends of mine too! But to all of you, hello!

I’ve been active for almost four years on this site now, and while nowhere is perfect, The Bell Tree is one of the loveliest corners of the internet I’ve ever seen, and I’m so happy I found it. I hope it’s been a cozy, kind, and welcoming space for all of you too. I hope staff aren't working themselves too hard, and that we're still participating in events together and collecting silly little pixel squares for our sidebars. We... still have sidebars, right? How different does TBT look ten years from now??

I’m sure for the most part we won’t be playing the same games that we’re playing back in 2024, but whatever games have released since now, I hope we’re still having fun playing together. And if we’re still playing Among Us in 2034, I hope my bean is wearing a froggy hat!! Even if those are long since out of style ten years from now. I’ll be wearing a froggy hat, so I won’t care.

Hi Future TBT,

It's been a couple years since Animal Crossing New Horizons released and also stopped expanding on in-game content. Is there new AC content in the future? How is it? I remember a lot of us were a bit disappointed in how ACNH didn't have as many furniture sets as ACNL as well as much post-game(?) content. If you've had a new AC release, did they end up addressing those complaints?

The forums are as friendly as ever. Collectibles are still huge and the staff has graciously expanded the types of collectibles you can get! What kinds of collectibles are hot in the future? Are they still as popular as ever?

I hope there are still exciting forum events and lots of things to do in the future too. We've been so spoiled this year with so many back-to-back events. I hope there's just as many fun ways to feel connected.

I hope you are all still having so much fun here. Any new collectibles? Did they finally make a penguin villager collectible? Any new fun events?
Did they release any new animal crossing games. I wonder if they have any new villagers. Are we still on an island of back to a town. I wonder if we can finally place rugs outside? Did they finally bring back the missing furniture sets? Hopefully we can have more villagers and buildings in town/island.
