I’m not getting the update because I no longer own the game. I will say, though, that I would likely not play immediately. I’d probably play that day, but I wouldn’t sit waiting for the update to drop.

I'm not sure. I'm working that day and in the evening, I'm going to eat outside my own house, so I'll get a few times to play the game Friday. I'm not even sure I'll restart my game at time. Need to create another island.

probably not. it doesn't drop until 1AM here, i think, and while there is a chance i'll be up around that time (if i trash my sleeping pattern again rip) i'll have already played NH for the day hours beforehand, so a lot of the stuff (namely furniture) won't appear anyway. i'd rather wait until the next morning/afternoon for a truly fresh in-game day where everything is updated.

Based on when past updates dropped, I'll be able to download update v2.0 at 7 PM on Nov. 4th, so, yeah, I'll be playing it as soon as the update finishes downloading.

Assuming it comes out at midnight on November 5th, I'll be playing it after I get out of classes around noon that same day. I haven't been this excited for a video game since New Horizons was released!

I wonder when the update will actually drop. Unlike past updates, the release info for Japan doesn't list a time. Usually, it specifically says 10 a.m., but this time, it just says November 5th, as far as I could see, and I've checked the Japanese Direct, the Japanese Twitter account, the website, etc.

It's possible it will release at the same time everywhere, at 10 a.m. JST, like other updates. It's also possible they plan to release it at midnight local time for your eShop's region, in which case it won't release at the same time everywhere and we'd have to wait until it hits midnight local time, which would be midnight Eastern time in the U.S., I'm guessing? That would only be a few hours later for the U.S., though.

Anyway, I plan to play as soon as the update drops. I have a pretty flexible schedule so I can usually play in the morning and throughout the day. Hope I'm not too busy that day so I can play more.

When NH came out, i preordered it on the switch specifically so I could play it at midnight LOL.
I pre ordered the DLC yesterday so if the game updates at midnight then I will absolutely be staying up again to play it lol, and the same goes for the DLC. (However often times the updates come out during the day so Im not sure on that,... I expect at the least next week Ill be playing HHP in the middle of the night )
