I work 12 hour night shift Fri-Sun, so I'll be playing a lot on Thurs night and Friday morning most likely.

I definitely want to. Whether I can is a different story. On the 5th first I have to get through a whole day of work. Then I have to go get my second vaccine dose. Then I can come home and relax. Hopefully I’m not scheduled to work on the weekend. They’ve been scheduling me more often than I cared for. Me who hates weekend shifts. Hope fully the second vaccine also doesn’t hurt as much as the first. I had pains on my arm for three whole days.

I requested vacation time for this week about a month before the update announcement, so thankfully I'll be off on release day! I never know exactly when anything comes out, I just know the day, not the hour, so I'll likely just get to it when I get to it ^_^

I'm so sorry for those who have to work during the update release I miss when we were kids and had nothing but time on our hands.

Unfortunately I won't be able to due to my work schedule. I won't really be able to spend any meaningful amount of time with the update until Saturday morning, and even then it won't be a whole lot since I'm working on the weekend as well.

yes, absolutely! i don’t really have anything that i need to wake up early for for the next few months, and i tend to pull all-nighters most of the time anyways, so i don’t have anything holding me back from playing the update all night if i want to. besides, i’m honestly so excited that it’ll be a miracle if i ever sleep again after nov 4th LOL.

I'm not sure. I'm still time-travelling to catch up with the ~year I didn't play, I want to complete some of the stuff (DIYs, events, nook miles goals) that I missed out on during that. I might just finish that first, before continuing with the new content: I don't really want to rush through the new content by time-travelling and then run out of interest again soon.

On the other hand, I might sneak a peak just because I'm very impatient XD

Finally I decided to restart my island again, so here I am for the update, even if I'll be a bit late because I'm working and eating outside this day. However, I don't know if with my fresh island I could unlock everything quickly. For example, for Harv' island, does someone know if my five or six day island will enjoy the news or if I will have to wait for some days?
I'll definitely check opinions on this forum to see how to unlock the new little shops.
Same for Kapp'n (I'm not sure it's his English name, sorry if I spelled badly), could I benefit directly from his presence? I ask myself a lot of questions at this stage of the adventure!

Absolutely, the minute it drops. November 5th is also Guy Fawkes/Bonfire night here in the uk, so it's an exciting day/night all round haha.

I'm working on Friday and Saturday so I'll probably try to have a quick go since otherwise, I'd probably have to wait until Sunday.

it drops at around 1am here so if I were to be awake, chances are I'll be out and unable to play immediately anyway so I'll probably wait until the actual daytime on the fifth. fortunately i'm going home from uni for the weekend the day it drops, so I'll have a long train journey to sink my teeth into the new content, and then a relaxed weekend to play!

The very second it drops on Nov 4th I will be checking out any unannounced details, and getting my museum cafe upgrade started, and one of the shops on Harv's island. This way on Nov 5, I'll have some things ready to go.

I was thinking I'd wait because I would need to head to work a couple of hours after (I'm the same timezone as Japan) but I think I won't be able to not give it a go. I think I'll just start with the 2.0 update features and then wait until I come home to go to the archipelago.
