I expected the process to take about a week because of the size of the project, but it was shorter than I expected, at about a day. I started off by cutting out most of the images from several random magazines, booklets, flyers, etc. I even printed out some other images on glossy paper, like a drawing of my OC Crisp and some collectibles! I didn't decide on which to use beforehand, but I knew there had to be a
Dog Man reference somewhere.
After that, I bought some cardstock and 3D flower stickers in Michael's and planned out the layout of my collage. Once I was satisfied, I glued the cardstock onto some cardboard and trimmed it. Cutting thick cardboard with scissors was a pain in the arse, so thank goodness for the packaging knife thing (or whatever you call it) that I found lying around on the living room table.
This is the fun part! Using my photo of the planned layout as a reference, I attached each piece to its proper position.
The layout changed slightly over time. As I was gluing, I realized I lost one of the pieces I cut out!

That led me to bring in the cut-outs I was going to scrap and rearrange a few pieces to make room for them.
To cover the bottom-left corner, I cut out these words from my coloring book and arranged them to form my all-time favorite quote from
Dog Man, which appears in my favorite book from the series,
Mothering Heights.
