How I would like to be spending my Valentine’s Day instead of working. Self love

With my puppy Aurora having snacks, listening to music , reading books and enjoying some of my favorite games.

i've had a lot of crappy valentine's days, so this time i'm focusing on self-love/self-care

Here's my entry! It took ages, but I got it done finally. The five objects are the roses, the card (orange), the perfume, the rainbow, and the stickers. The poem/rhyme is by me. Little extra stamps and cupid cutouts are sprinkled in as well.

Most- if not all images are used from free to use places like iStock. No part of this image is drawn (minus the shadows), the hands and arms were actual images of hands and arms but I didn't want to use some random person's hands & arms for this cause I thought it'd be weird and invasive
I wanted to use an anatomically correct heart but that would've been too grotesque

Staff, if you see that I edited this post it's cause I asked a question earlier and finished within the time period where posting a 2nd post will automatically merge your old and new post together. If that makes sense

Valentine's Day, to me, can also be about self-love. As someone who is single, I think it's a good excuse to treat yourself to a yummy snack and surround yourself with the things you love.

i spent my valentine's day playing the sims 2 and jamming to pitbull - both are clearly the definition of romance and self care i also did my lashes, skincare, drank my fave green tea (after 6 coffees), and crocheted ! eddysims on tumblr remade the sims icons, which i used and downloaded from here : )​

I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. I could lie and make up something, but I'd rather be true. My granny loved to bake and was very artistic. She made all sorts of meals and desserts, especially during holidays and usually cookies for all of her grandchildren during Valentine's. And pretty much any time. She didn't need an excuse. Homemade pumpkin pie was a staple dessert for her to make and I always looked forward to it because it tasted so good. She would also make all sorts of crafts to give to others.

I grew up liking a lot of similar hobbies that she did. I really liked a lot of the tasks for this event because it brought back good memories with all of the ideas I came up with and tried. It was really fun painting traditionally again, even if I was terribly sloppy at it. Pushing myself to try a new complicated recipe. And crafting with clay. I gifted all of the projects to friends and family and everyone was grateful for the presents. (There were some clay hearts that they wouldn't get the context of so they didn't get those )

It was nice to do nice things for others and give them gifts that I made. It's why in my collage I added pictures of actual stuff I baked/cooked and in the bottom center are a handful of the drawings I did for others here during the Canvas Crossing event. I loved that task so much. I might make it a tradition next year to bake more sweets and meals for friends and family in honor of my granny!

Valentines to me is always paper crafting, family, lots of yummy things, flowers, and of course millennial actress is a lovely watch with themes of love.

Here's my Valentine's collage! The photos are mine, and then some clipart from Microsoft
The background is from this cool art exhibit, Luna Luna, which was an art amusement park in Germany and now pieces of it are being toured. The picture is within the big geodesic dome created by Salvador Dali!
I've never been big on flowers in the past, but that means when someone gets me some, it's always such a nice surprise!! Mostly you can buy my heart with sweets though =) I also love to make sweets and give them to other people, yum!

My entry~!
I don't really celebrate romatically. So, I celebrate by just enjoying the day to do things that focus on me!
Having nice bath bombs really spark my baths up, since my skin is very senitive so I can't have bubbles or anything; but bathbombs are nice smiling, and make my baths really colourful!
Trying new food or just enjoying a nice treat/food is something I would like on a day like this. As well as trying new herbal tea - this one has a flower blooming~
Taking time for myself to read books in a comfy enviorment is such a thing I need, it's been a while since I could just sit down and explore new worlds. And lastyly, also having time to sit down and try all the new games I have on my switch that I haven't explored either!
