‣ all things nice | WINNERS ANNOUNCED PG 641

This is random, but does anyone here have any experience with working in an office?

Yeah, I've worked for a few offices in the past. What position is it, admin/reception? They were my least favorite jobs and that's comparing them to retail and food service. Every office is different of course, I just got unlucky with both. :p

I wish peoyne luck on getting back wi-fi.

I was just wondering what the environment is like, and just general stuff about working there. Also about managers, because I'm unsure of their exact role....I'm writing a short story and my main character is suppose to be an office worker rip

Don't worry if you don't wanna answer for whatever reason aha

Year 10 is soo boring ;____;
gdi everything is about GCSEs and I'm scared rippppp kms

Honestly if you put your mind to it, then you'll be okay. When I went into year 11, I stayed back at school till 5 every night. What fid my work get me? 7'A's and 5 B's, maybe an A* in English after a remark.

YIU CAN DO IT!

Well, it really depends on what type of office it is. Some offices are very organized and have everything digital while others rely on paper and people to organize it. There's a huge difference between a law office and say, a collections office. The biggest difference is the work culture. Some fancier/upscale offices will want you to run errands (aka being a personal assistant without the title), want you to serve drinks/snacks to all clients and your superiors, and group lunches/parties are way more common. Other kinds of offices will allow you to be rude to clients so it really, really depends on the industry the character would be working in.

In general, office workers are expected to answer phones (basically take messages or weed out the annoying callers to your managers), do computer work, handle all incoming/outgoing mail, filing/scanning, schedule/book appointments for clients/managers, & all other assigned duties (aka run errands, assist co-workers on whatever they're doing, etc.).

That's the general gist of it. Hope that helped in some way! :)
