Tis my first FanFic, sort of. It's still a work in progress.
My name's John Tyler O'Laggin, but you can call me J.T. I thought I was just
you average teen, but over the last few nights, I have been having wierd
dreams... Frighting dreams. I'm no Furry, but I have been dreaming of talking
animals. Intellegent ones. I feel that these are not regular dreams, but
visions. They seem to be getting more real everyday. As I'm laying down to
sleep, A sudden burst of light suprises me, and I hear raindrops falling all
around me, but I'm not sure if it is real or not, I think I'm dreaming
though... Then, I'm walking through a strange town. The strange animal-people
call greetings to me. They do not seem mean or angry, just happy. A turtle
with a badge that says "Mayor" says "Obey me!" A raccoon (or is it a tanoki?)
says that I owe him "bells" for my new house? I feel like this one is real. I
walk up to a tiny house in the middle of the town. I go inside, and I find
that it is just a single room, though it does have two floors. I walk up to
the second floor, and find a small bed. I lie down again. As I fall asleep
for the second time, I feel like my adventure is just beginning...
Alpha And Omega
I wake up disorented. I'm confused for a moment, and then I remember where I
am. In the town, that is apperently not in my dreams. I have no clue why it's
real, but it is. I decide to talk to some of the animal-people and see what
they can tell me. Just as I think that, there is a knock on my door. I open
it, and the raccoon is standing there. He starts to talk.
"Hello, friend! My name is Tom Nook, and I'm the owner of the store here in
Mystica. I'm alsothe one that built your house, do you like it? You think it's small don't you? I can tell by your eyes. Well, don't worry! As soon as you pay off your
bill of 2500 Bells, I'll upgrade and expand your house. How's that sound?" I
don't have a clue what he is talking about, and say as much. "Why, of course,
you didn't know that you ordered a house. Well, no matter, you'll find out
soon enough. Anyway, Bells are the currency in the Town, you can get them for
almost anything. Goo luck, and feel free to talk to the other people in
town, they can help you with many things." I try to stop him, but he seems to
dissappear (or is it teleport?) away, and I am left with more questions than
answers. What did he mean by "I ordered the house, but I didn't know it?" I
decide to expore the town, Mystica?, to find answers. I feel in my pockets,
and to my suprise, there is a map there. I start walking toward the town
hall.
I find my self at Town Hall shortly. A very old turtle is standing on a
cobblestone path infront of the Hall. "Welcome to Mystica! My name is
Tortimer and I'm the mayor. You need to find me and talk to me when there are
holidays in town. There's one coming up shortly, the Acorn Festival, but
you'll want to watch out for my crazy brother, Cornimer that week." Ok, I
say, but why am I in town anyway, I ask. "Oh yes, well, you'll just have to
discover that for yourself. Haha, I guess you really did make yourself forget
everything! Katrina, the mystic, will be in town tomorrow so why don't you
talk to her? If you need anything, Polly is inside and she'll handle your
mail and Bells, nice talking!" He walks away, and I go inside the Hall.
It's small. I ask Polly about my Bells. "Why, you have 450 bells in your
account. Would you like to donate any to Boondox? It's a very poor town to
the south. Why, they have to eat rocks because all the dirt is already eaten!
Won't you give some bells to them? Please? Won't you? Please?" I give her 200
Bells to donate, so that she'll shut up. "Thanks to you, the Boondoxians can
eat some actual dirt now!" I leave the town hall as soon as I can. I walk
back to my house, and head upstairs. I fall gratefully into bed, deciding to
talk to this Katrina tomorrow.
I get up the next morning. I remember what the Turtle said last night "Go to
Katrina", So I will. I walk into the main town square and see a huge tent. I
enter...
"Welcome, Welcome! I was expecting you. It's about time you showed up. Cross
my palm with 12 Bells of gold, and I'll tell you what you might or might not
want to know." I give her 12 of the Bells from a bag in my pocket. "Yes, yes.
Many thanks. Now then, you have been brought to this place by forces unknow,
yes? You don't know why you're here, yes? Well, neither do I, However..." I
ask why I paid her for nothing. "Well, let my finish, yes? A very powerful
Power had you brought here from the Mortal Realms. So powerful that they were
able to bring a Human here, yes? But that's all I can forsee. Except this,
yes? It are an evil Power. Let me tell you somethings, yes? Mystica is a
place of crossroads. Many Lay Lines and Places of Power cross here, yes?
Something big is coming, and you are involved in it, yes? That's all for now.
Come back next week, if you're still alive, yes?" I find myself outside the
tent, with the enterence closed. I can't get back in.
I start to walk away, and then snow starts to fall. Pure snow, it helps to
calm me. I walk over a bridge and see a monkey running toward me, waving a
letter.
I stop and watch the Monkey run toward me. It, no she, stopped in front of
me. "Hi! My name's Tammi! What's yours?" I tell her my name. "J.T? Nice! I
guess You're our new neighbor. I just wanted you to take this letter,
everyone in the town signed it, wasn't that nice? I hope I'll see you around,
bye!" And she ran away. I read the letter, it's short. Just a hello, nice to
meet you, kind of thing.
I walk toward my house, but then I see that shop, Nook's Cranny. I enter.
"Welcome, John! I wanted to tell you that your house is paid off and
upgraded." I tell him that I didn't pay it off. "No, you didn't, but I would
have died, or worse, if I didn't pay it off my self... Crazy mother of
yours... Anyway, It's already to move into. But that's as big as I'm going. I
like living more than I like Bells! And I like Bells alot! So get!" He pushes
me outside. What mother? I think to myself, I was an orphan!
I decide to try to get some sleep. I enter my house, and it is bigger, just
not by much. I head upstairs and lie down. I have a strange dream. A woman,
lithe and streamlined, looking as if the human form had been perfected in
her, was sitting on a pile of skulls while a huge and dark castle rose above
her... "Son? Son. Ah finally, I get to contact the son of my flesh. It's been
so dreadfully long. If it wern't for the Gyroids I created and seeded in this
town, long ago when it was my castle, I wouldn't be able to have sent you
here. Now then, for the truth. Or some of it anyway. I brought you here so
that you could start to learn about your destiny. Your years of living among
humans have dulled your wits and your Power. Now, I'll let you go and contact
you again when you have learned. Remember, the moon shall guide you."
