Am I the only one who hates the stalk market?

Yeah I hated it really good. I did it for the achievements and to get a nice bank easily but it was rather annoying having to keep track and pestering others. Sigh.
Not to mention by the time its your turn in line to sell turnips on someone else's island they close up at the last second after you waited for hours.

Yeah, fortunately I don't think I had that happen but I can imagine it being a huge problem, like why do they even open it then?

Especially those who claim to have a high price, but then they lie about it and people often got scammed. I witness this happened last year when someone claim to have a price of 623 but then when me and other people showed up they were mad saying that the turnip price was actually "53" when that happened I got out of that island. Since then I stopped visiting people's islands after that incident.

Whoa wow I hope that person got blacklisted or something, that's sounds highly against all rules everywhere. Understandable, I'd probably would have done, too.

I played the stalk market once in New Leaf, and once in New Horizons. Didn't care for it either time. And I have to say that the drippy-nosed character in New Horizons is really off-putting to me. I guess if I enjoyed gambling I might find the stalk market fun. There's enough other things in the game for me to enjoy.

I hated doing the Stalk Market both in NL & now NH, I never touch it. I have the absolute worse luck, my prices have never gone above 190 to sell and there's so much you have to keep track of. Selling with other people is a hassle as well.

If I was really dedicated (which I'm not) I could do it between my 3 switches, but that itself would take alot of time. Plus, Switches A, B & C can't all play together, I can't have Switch A playing the game at the same time with Switch C, so I have to use B as a middle ground for transfers. Absolute nightmare.

The stock market was created for money fascists and unethical businesses. Fixated on the climbs and reaches are the compulsions of a economically driven individual who cares only for profit and has no regard in how it is obtained. Behind the scene companies are sparked by a vision made from some sports fan who knows how to use words and is willing to make others gamble their own earnings.

Oh! 'stalk' market? My mistake.
I partake is Daisy Mae's offers for a different element to Animal Crossing and to obtain objective achievements.

Stalk Market is awesome if you live with someone who also has a switch + ACNH + Nintendo Online Membership, and is okay with time travelling over and over again.

Outside of that, the stalk market is infuriating! I think it could be overhauled a bit, somehow. Like if they had a better online interface to allow for trading/buying/selling without having to leave your island, that would be great. But I guess Nintendo doesn't want to make it too easy for players to make IGB ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't hate the system itself. I just hate the loading times. I still haven't gotten the achievement though. But I don't mind since I stopped working on 100% conpletion.

I find it quite fun the turnip market trying to make those bells I've seen people do all these online generators on how to work out when is best to buy the turnips and when is best to sell but that's just to much effort for me haha

i dont like the stalk market either. its a gamble unless you find another island to visit; which for some folks, can be a challenge.
ive also 'saved' *and by saved i mean that someone gave me around 70m bells* and i could afford to buy all of the turnips that i needed.
i Think theres 2 levels to it...the first one being you have to buy a certain amount of turnips *100??? maybe??*
in order to open up the first recipe. i dont know if the 100 turnips thing is right though, but im guessing its close because of...
2: you have to buy 300 turnips *i Know thats true lol!* to get the 'upgraded recipe'
im glad you Finally got your achievement :D

Once I got the achievement, I stopped playing. I bought a few to get the recipes after the update. Now I don't bother with her at all.

If I remember, I'll stop into the hospital to see Joan on Mondays, mainly if I want to craft another turnip recipe. But I avoid that handkerchief-phobic child every Sunday.

I'm not particularly fond of it. I never used it in the GameCube Animal Crossing game or in New Leaf (never played Wild World and didn't enjoy City Folk and quit before I ever would've seen her in that game). I did utilize it in New Horizons to get the achievement on my main character since one of my friends got really into the Stalk Market and utilized that website to track the turnip prices and when the best day and time to sell would be. They've long since quit the game though, and honestly when I need bells I'd rather buy them from someone here instead of going through the hassle of tracking turnip prices and whatnot.

I made as many player characters as possible (8) and the only reason I would bother to engage in the Stalk Market again would be to get the titles for completing the achievement on one specific character to get the Shadowy and Fixer passport titles. I probably won't ever do it though because it would be a waste of actual money to get NSO for a month or so on a side account just for that.

I've never been very interested in the Stalk Market. My grandmother played the OG Animal Crossing and made an insane amount of Bells with it, but it's just always been stressful and annoying to me to even try. I also seem to have bad luck with Timmy and Tommy giving me low turnip prices.

Ehh, the only way I can seem to tolerate it is when I use a stalk market predictor and even then the prices aren’t always as good as they say they will be. The stalk market is good at very beginning of the game when you need to make a few million pretty fast to pay off things. I maxed out my bells and I can’t see myself ever messing with Daisy again. Also, she’s gross with her runny nose, that just really grosses me out even in game. She’s just gross. Wipe your nose girlie we don’t need all that.

I literally only use the turnips to get the fly and ant for the museum, I've been playing the game since it came out and I've never actually played the stalk market, it seems more annoying to do than anything tbh

I've never really bothered much with the stalk market in any of the games. I've used it more so in New Horizons. I never really got the appeal of doing it, nor am I usually up on a Sunday morning. I like the idea of it, and the progression that it's gone from Joan to Daisy Mae (who I think is adorable in her character design, I love the lil snot bubble out her snout, as someone who's spent a lot of time around children having worked in childcare, children pretty much have a permanent snot bubble of sorts). It's just not something I'm interested in, I prefer making my bells in other ways, and am only really doing it to get the achievement.

I tried the stalk market once and never again xD Luckily nobody can see your Nook Mile Achievements like they could see your badges in ACNL, so I’m not too fussed about them xD

In previous games I have never bothered to try with turnips. I've bought them a couple times but just gave up. It's too much work haha
