Amiibo S5 - Yays and nays

If I can managed to get one pack before the loser scalpers come in, I will gladly buy one. But so far the Sanrio and revival of the series 1-4 reprints has proven they still don't have a handle on these scalpers.

What I will mention may not be popular.

I will mention it anyway.

I think each series should have been manufactured as a whole.

Sell 100 cards for $99.99.

This setup encourages scalpers and then pushes for consumers to hustle.

I will most likely will keep buying amiibo cards until i get the Audie amiibo card then i won't get any more after that also i live near a town that has a Walmart where not that many people live so i can probably get my hands on a few packs

Not really. I'm not much for amiibo to be honest. Like I want to give Isabelle a home, but I'm not wanting to pay $7 just to give her a home. If the villagers where amiibo exclusive, I probably would. However, it doesn't sound like Sasha is amiibo exclusive, so I will hunt for her.

I say nay because they could've (and really should've TBH) put the RV villagers plus 2 extras in to make a complete set of 100. RV villagers are just really annoying and I got lucky with someone giving me Dobie for 20 NMT near launch but nowadays, that's a near impossible price (correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Dobie around 50 NMT these days? I forget his pricing).

So I'd have to either pay the scalpers God knows how much or potentially waste hundreds or even thousands of NMT to find him on the islands. I'm still salty about no crossover villagers as well, don't get me started on why it was a bad idea to exclude them but not change some of the cranky wolves personalities (like change Dobie back to Lazy for example).

I'll be buying a few packs if I can. If not, I'll probably resort to the "fake" amiibos of the new villagers if they can be made.

I wasn't planning to buy any of these but uh... I'm seriously considering it. It's dangerous, because I think I'll want to buy some old cards too.

I suppose the upside for that though is that I would have something that I can trade already. I have an extra pack of Sanrio cards (unopened) that I bought because the Target guy I guess assumed I wanted more and grabbed 2 packs when I went to buy one. It's still sitting around in a drawer. I wasn't sure what to do with it until now - I could use that to trade with others too to help fill in holes of my collection once I start buying these new cards.
