Anyone else already regretting/wanting to move building placement?

I placed all my buildings whit the fact in mind that I won't be able to change the placing for some time and that it would cost money. So I tried to work with what I had and honestly am pretty satisfied with it. Sure, I might move some stuff later on, but right now I'm in no rush to change my layout.

Compared to the house expansions, I feel houserelocations are actually quite affordable.

I think in a way its unavoidable house placements from the start of the game are a bit out of whack. You didn`t have access to like 70% of your Island at that point. So I always knew at some point I would have to relocate them. I do regret placing houses on spots where I already could have known I would terraform at some point, since they are in the way and I might have to move the houses twice (once to get them out of the way, 2nd time to move htem back in the right spot.

Rip wallet, lol.

since I didn't have the pole vault/ladder when they asked me to set up blathers tent, i put him nearby the resident service area but eventually I would like to move it to the top tier cliffsides.

I placed my museum so close to the river that I can't even walk through one corner. I have to go around the museum every time I'm fishing the river, lol.

Honestly I didn't really give much thought or care to placement since I knew I'd be moving everything eventually.

I pretty much placed things knowing that they'd be moved later considering we didn't have full access to our islands the first few days.

I've already moved most my buildings where I want them. I'll still need to move quite a few to get them perfectly aligned correctly especially now that I have terraforming to work with. But it's not really a huge concern to me since, like you said, we have the ability to make changes now fairly easily. 50k bells in the long run won't be a huge amount.

So glad you can move building in this version. I already want to move stuff. LOL

I made the same mistake for Nook's Cranny. The sad part is that it worked just fine for the plot. So either the building is 1 space bigger than the plot, or the building has some invisible wall mechanic stopping the player.

Definitely. I didn't really like my house placement once I started playing - but I figured it would get better.
I have managed to completely avoid spoilers, so I didn't know what I was able to move after placement... or how I got new neighbors. Went to the island 18 times prior to putting down the three house-plots. Didn't invite any, because they were all sub-optimal choices (i.e. trash). All of a sudden, Tom Nook decided to put random villagers there. I was distraught! A guy named Sherb and a gal named Cookie was moving in. I don't like Cookie, and Sherb sounded weird - Combined with my terrible house placement, I was ready to restart today.

As I got home from the laboratory this evening, I decided to log in and check who Sherb was - and he was delightful! I don't particularly like the goat. However, Sherb was so likable that I was forced to reconsider my restart... and I decided to ride my disappointment in my villagers, river-mouths and house placement. I think I will find happiness in 'SoriaMoria' after all - all thanks to Sherb :)

Yes. When placing the three villager houses I tried to get them in a straight line but the angle the camera is at when you're setting them is funny - so they're off.

yeah, definitely. but I'll be able to move them later on. I don't mind how much it costs, as long as I'm able to.

I know right? I almost rage quit.

Yes... I don't like how you have to place down 13 buildings + campsite before the terraforming is even unlocked. I'd prefer the terraforming to be unlocked at the start of the game so that the building placement would make more sense, because it would be nice to decide where the rivers, ponds, cliffs, etc. are before placing anything. Plus your current rivers can really mess up where you want to place things!

I definitely regret the placement of my buildings. I have to move the museum, Nook's Cranny, the starting villagers houses and my house. I plan on making a little residential area for the villagers and keeping them in close proximity, as well as making a shopping center area for the stores.

The only building I'm happy with it's placement is Nook's Cranny, because I wanted it right next to Resident Services. Everything else is moved. I wanna know, why did my brain decide it was a good idea to put my own house directly behind Resident Services? ^_^; That will be the first to move. lol

I placed all my buildings on the shore line so that I could place them somewhere new later c: sucks having so spend SO MANY bells to relocate but... oh well

I placed all mine with terraforming in future consideration, but even then the temporary placements I regret like the museum... Dumped it right near my house during the period of time of waiting for Blathers to hurry over with millions of bugs and fish right at his doorstep.
