so... i caved yall. bought shinos amiibo from etsy after upwards of 100 tickets searching. now i'll finally have the peppy i've been looking for, but i also now have a random spot on my island!

Going to buy a legit tiansheng amiibo once the craze has died down and they're not super expensive

My go-to if there’s a villager that I MUST have is etsy amiibo coins! Honestly they’re always cheaper than scalpers and the creators have made some pretty beautiful things. I’ve seen coins with glitter, custom art, I’ve seen tarot card amiibos and people even make little bell bags to put their coins in!

thats what i just did with shino, and i caved even more and trespassed my own "no more than 2 villagers with the same personality" rule because i want kiki so badly!

Kiki is ADORABLE, but so is Shino honestly. I’m glad that you were able to get amiibos of a couple darlings that you really wanted!

Luckily even if I wanted to I couldn't lol, they're all sold out every time I look. At this point I don't really need them anymore anyway unless I want to invite villagers to Brewster's or the HHP thing which isn't rly worth the money for me.

If you know how to make your own (it's super easy), and dont mind the cards having no art at all, you can get 50 for like £15

I make my own villager amiibos as well, but I bought a few amiibo figurines of non-villagers (Mabel, KK, Reese and Cyrus) just because they're cute and I always wanted to collect them. And now that they can actually be useful with HHP, I can kind of justify buying them, lol.

There's a couple cards from series 5 I would like to have, so I bought two packs today. If it doesn't work out I may try to buy them individually later when the prices go down. I have a feeling prices may be inflated for a while.

The way I see it is if nintendo was reasonable and didn't ask around £600 for a whole set, assuming no duplicates happen, I would buy
There are always duplicates though
So what's that? 1k?

But I can make my own full set for £115
And no fear of duplicates

So I know my choice

just picked up kiki and i'm so pleased with my decision! she is the cutest

I got a pack from the restock on Amazon today, but my sister pulled some pretty good cards from two packs. She got Sasha's, Ione's, Faith, and the new octopus one.
