More overwhelming than anything, I think with the annoyance of laying bridges/inclines only to have them knocked down and rebuilt because of poor planning etc. Also having to wait a day for stuff like that to be built is a pain but this game isn’t meant to be rushed. I think it’s easy to compare your progress to others, just focus on one area at a time and have fun with the possibilities. I really like some areas of my island and know others need work but we can always change the landscape which is what makes it so fun!
I started terraforming this morning too, and also find it overwhelming! I started in one corner and already realized the plan I had is not really doable... so adjusting my plans. I think I'll just work on it little by little, one idea at a time. I take plenty of pictures so I can go back if need be.
It's definitely stressful and time consuming, especially for the OCD in me, but it is incredibly satisfying when an idea works. My island feels so much more personal and organized.
i unlocked it yesterday and i think this is the least amount i've played/had fun with the game haha, it's just so stressful, especially since i envisioned basically terraforming my entire town, everything i visualise in my head however just looks weird/unnatural in practice.
i wish the dream suite was open, so i could draw inspiration *cough*steal*cough* form other towns, rn i'm totally lost
It's fun, but it can get a bit stressful when something you're trying to do doesn't look right. I like the terraforming because it lets me amend parts of my map that made it hard for me to design things how I wanted, but I'm not doing a complete revamp. More like I might smooth out a few tiles or neaten bits. I want it to still look similar to the original.
What I'm struggling w/ right now is a lack of basic outdoor furniture like log tables and long log seats. I want to make a picnic area very badly and maybe an outdoor cafe, but it's just not possible. I've also been faffing about with my entrance for ages and idk, I'm dithering over how it looks. I like fences, but not too many, if that makes sense.
As someone who isn't very creatively inclined, I found it extremely stressful. The most stressed I've ever been playing an Animal Crossing game :/ I'm honestly not even sure if I'll use it much besides for creating paths around the island. I feel the amount of planning needed to make good use of it is way over my head.
I mean you don't have to terraform if you don't want to! It is really nice though to be able to fix the river in certain spots so that you can build a bridge exactly where you want. And to be able to make cool waterfalls, and choose where ponds go... Terraforming is scary at first but you get used to it!
I had fun totally changing the way my river was. What was stressing me out is having to wait a day to make Bridges and inclines. I was trying to figure out if I can do two inclines in a row from first to third level. The spacing between them is weird. I think I figured it out but I'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
im redoing my river rn and i am Stressed haha. gonna look at some other maps and river layouts for inspo, its just very daunting ;~;
gosh i want one of those cute star shaped ponds but the naturally formed ones look super hard to replicate
