No dream suite, no Rover, no Kappn, villager limit is still 10, no sign of gyroids. Is anyone else like...weirded out by this? I know these all seem like little things but it’s kinda concerning to me that a lot of the little quirks seem to be gone. I can only hope stuff like this gets added through updates.

a little but im trying to calm myself down because they didnt have all the time in the world to play the game and if its really slow paced then these things could unlock later on

Sources?
I haven't seen any of these confirmed.

GameXplain’s review goes over no Rover and Kappn.

IGN goes over villager limit, no dream suite.

I think GameXplain also went over no gyroids? I remember seeing that statement in few places, but people rn are just mostly unsure of the gyroids being gone or not.

The lack of gyroids is my only concern honestly.
Limit of 10 is normal
Rover only appeared at the start of the game anyway ykno.
Kapp'n may still come back and if he doesnt one less creepy old guy to worry about imo
Dream suit or something similar may come back, I dont see why not as it was extremely popular in NL.

Animal crossing is a SLOW game and I feel like everyone is forgetting this.
Not having the dream suit after 3 weeks feels normal to me especially in a game that is making you start at nothing; way far behind than other titles.
Just to get QR codes in NL took a while. The dream suit took time to unlock then pay for.
Honestly dont think we will know much until a real datamine comes out or the guide comes out

I hope a datamine happens soon honestly, just so I can put my fears at ease LOL. I’d just like to see a concrete list of what and who’s been cut.

I think that Kapp'n might take us to the other island that the direct showed us?

I mean all I can find are articles speculating. I don't see any official message from nintendo's pages or from their videos. So, I'm just not really going to worry about it. We'll find out in game I guess.

i won’t believe most of these features are gone until i’ve had the time to discover for myself if they’re truly gone

I am fine. I love everything else this game has to offer.

Reviewers are still under NDAs' terms though. They probably had the permission to reveal these things so far, but cannot reveal everything until the game drops.

I have played all the games since the beginning. They always have changes, new things and some things removed when they came out with a new game. I am very excited about the new game, whatever is new and whatever may be left out.

Having no way to visit other towns like the dream suite is really wierd, but maybe they will include somthing similar later. Let us wait and see.
I am not bothered by the other omissions, to be honest.

i'm pretty sure there are gyroids - you can see one in this video by nintendo life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpG4hedNmz8 at 8:45
they do a similar thing in new leaf regarding marking out pwps

edit: OH unless you were talking abou tthe collectibles, in that case, my bad!!

I mean those articles are based on people having played the game for multiple weeks. The news that certain villagers are not included (specifically Rover, Kapp’n and Resetti) is evident based on the inability to summon them to Photopia—unlike other characters, if you scan their amiibo figures you get a message that they are not in the game. That’s pretty clear.

Of course this might change over time with updates, but for now I wouldn’t count on it.

I do see the criticisms of some reviews:

- that it will get annoying to have to craft a flimsy tool before you can upgrade it to a sturdier version of the tool, rather than just using all the resources in one go

- that it could be tiresome to have to switch in and out resources to your inventory when crafting, rather than the crafting bench 'seeing' all the resources you have in storage

- that things unlock sooooo slowly at the start that IGN advises actually TTing for the first 15 or so in-game days

I personally don't really care for gyroids, especially if you can't store them with Brewster. I'm still hoping that an updated swimming mechanic is coming in a summer update. I really don't care about Rover or Kappn, but I care about Brewster.

not really. just because i know that most of these reviews have only played the game for 2 weeks was it? and it's a slow-paced game anyways, so things they mentioned "not being there" could just be things that they haven't come across or unlocked yet.
also correct me if i'm wrong, but online hasn't been set up yet? so all those features that are/aren't there we don't really know for sure yet.

at the end of the day, this is a new animal crossing game.. so i have expectations that some things will be gone or some things will be changed from previous games.
