Hmm
I Wonder Who Contributed To That
Hmmmmmmm
I Wonder
If you think me, then you can go search the freaking threads and find that I am not in any of them. I'd probably guess that you'd contributed to a couple of those, right skipper?

I probably should have elaborated on the meaning more. My question was more towards if people are too sensitive when it comes to a one liner that may indirectly contain something. I understand if someone would get sensitive when someone is just constantly bullying someone for what they are.

Yes, and it's probably one of the biggest problems in the world right now. People can't handle and/or don't want to handle certain topics or conversations, and that leads to ignorance, which leads to all sorts of things.

The sooner we become more open-minded the sooner we'll be able to tackle real issues.

Ooo, this is a good one. Yes.

Nah. We can't really help feeling the way we do, it just happens. That's all I'm gonna say because I can tell this thread isn't going in a good direction.

It really depends. There's no mid-way option so I won't be voting on this poll.

Well, it turns out there's a lot of drama going on in this thread and it looks like it might be getting locked, but who knows...

i should answer the question though: i guess in some aspects yes. my teacher was suspended for misgendering a student (not on purpose, he immediately apologised) but was ultimately fired for bringing the issue on national television which was really dumb. he was a **** teacher anyway. i think bringing religion into it wasnt good either
but we should really try to not lash back at others who get sensitive, if they're being petty they're being petty but like just be the better person and try to understand why theyre acting like this yknow, could be a huge emotional attachment or just bad experiences but it could just be being sensitive as a person i dont know im tired man

I don't think people are sensitive enough!

Some, however, could be a little more understanding of others.

Yes, yes, and yes. When you allow people to get mad over various simple issues (even by staying quiet or walking away), you?re still condoning it. I?ve worked with so many kids whose parents have let them have their way, which leads to many social problems later.

I don't think the thread will get locked. I can't speak for others, but at least for myself, if I sounded too sensitive in my post or something, I apologize. I was just kind of stating my opinion on the matter. It may be wrong

While I agree with this, parents interfering too much can also cause problems for kids later in life. I don't think that needs any explanation. Just going to say that my parents usually let me have my way growing up, and I'm still a great person today. Kids and teens do need guidance, knowledge, and wisdom, that I definitely agree with, but too much of an influence by an adult can also be bad depending on who it is.

And it looks like my last post got deleted, so I guess I'll stop posting here from here on out

Yes, especially college students these days and Tumblr users. The demand for political correctness, safe spaces, and trigger warnings prove this point. For the past few years, they're even caring about what people dress up for Halloween. That's very sensitive behavior here.

I completely get you. Too much ends up with an ignorant human, too little ends up with an ignorant human. It’s such a hard line. I’m glad you turned out really well. Sadly, I think it’s getting worse.

I noticed that I couldn’t see your post, I was wondering why. There was nothing wrong with what you said. Haha.

Well, I will say that I don't really like who I became last year and this year. I am definitely too sensitive nowadays. I felt like there might have been something wrong with it, but I guess not. I'll stop posting here though

The only reason I have concerns about the thread getting locked is because of the OP and his attitude.

The behavior of some of the posts on this thread do not surprise me at all, especially considering the fact that this forum can't handle discussing a serious topic without blowing it up and having the thread get closed.
I don't think anyone here is unable to handle a serious debate topic. It's just that your question is so vague and without context that it's difficult to imagine this thread was designed to do anything but poke the bear.

Oh yes, people are easily triggered nowadays lol though it's the other way around when they say things while not realizing that they're probably hurting others.

Yeah, people are way too sensitive. Even in this thread, my point was further proved because of the disrespect to the question.

Society is a mess. This forum is a mess.

So . pathetic.

Yes, we're giant walking sensory organs, so it's kind of how we were built to work.

I always hear older folks saying how us younger kids are too sensitive and to just take what the world gives us, but anytime something changes against their favor they turn into giant salty five year-olds...

Case in point, my old high school had the "Indians" as a mascot, us "god awful millennials", as well as the generation currently in high school, decided to stop culturally appropriating a whole race of people and vote that the mascot be changed. Out of the woodwork comes every single white person who has ever attended the school filled to the brim with salt, about how it's offended THEM, the people who went to the school centuries ago, by changing the mascot, because they'll always be "Indians" when in fact, they are all white upper class people... :/ But no, we're the sensitive snowflakes.

lol... calm down
but anyway... i guess so? im very sensitive, but i personally dont usually care about anyone's opinions (esp political) however i tink people should definitely be open to more discussion if they care instead of become angry over something they disagree with.
i also kind of find it ironic that ive seen you show signs of being upset or become really defensive over small opinions, but ok

I can completely identify with Alien at this moment.

You try and be helpful, nice to people, and they just want to bring you down because they are nasty, and petty.

Going somewhere where I am appeciated.

Offline.
With my cat.
Peace out.
