Are the Amish a countercultural group?

So today in my sociology class, my professor started having us talk about counterculture. Of course, the natural example was the hippie movement of the 1960s and '70s, but my professor said that the Amish are an example of counterculture. What do you think?

Idk I’d call it more a lifestyle movement (or a cult, depends on how u look at it)
