Are there really only two/three buildings to place on the island?

From every review I've seen so far - and this includes reviews where people say that they have reached the 'endgame' after three weeks which concerns me anyway... we just see the exact same buildings from the Direct and the other trailers. The Museum, Able Sisters, Campsite, Shop, and of course Resident Services.. is that it? Did they just cut out everyone else? This is a huge bummer.

I really think we'll be able to get a Katrina and Dream Suite shop, but I don't want to get my hopes up ><;

No one has mentioned "endgame". There is no way someone got Nookingtons, maxed out museum, paid all loans, and all the rest in 3 weeks.

ign also said no dream suite aka no way to show your island to someone else without having them in town :/

Some of these decisions are downright bizarre! Going on and on about how you can customize your Island and that each one will be unique, but then not bringing back something like the Dream Suite? It makes zero sense to me if true.

agghhh what?? a lot of the omissions in this game so far are really bumming me out :/

Yeah I am really bumped down since the direct and the latest trailer. Many features are missing and I can't imagine everything I want can come back.

Also to noted most the reviews mention that the start was really slow. They all only got to play 3 weeks of time and didn’t experience everything.

Nintendo hasn't really shown us anything past the beginning of the game. Everyone who was given the opportunity to play late game versions of the towns were given NDAs and made it seem as though theres a lot they cannot say

I would not imagine Nintendo got rid of the majority of shops;a lot of them appear to be traveling merchants (celeste, kicks, label) and we just have not seen them yet.

I'm hoping the dream suit does come back. I remember in NL it took a while to unlock so I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a longer time in NH

Also remember in NL you have to talk to sable for like... 2 weeks. To unlock QR codes. So them.not having most buildings in 3 weeks isnt a big deal imo

ooh now that you mention it. dream suite also required to go online at least once. pretty sure the reviews couldnt do that!

The reviewers only had the game about 2 weeks or so which isn’t that long and online is not up yet so they haven’t tried any of the online features.

I just really don’t think they’d remove stuff like the Dream Suite, Roost and so on.

I feel like the cafe will make a return and honestly the dream suite as well. Maybe they just haven't unlocked it yet.

I really hope some of these things make a return as well!!

Keep in mind, they did mention "free updates" after release, so maybe this is something that will come eventually?

endgame in the span of 3 weeks? that sounds impossible. and honestly, i feel like there’s some information they aren’t allowed to disclose like with some of the stuff shown at pax east.

either way, i’m really hoping there’s more buildings than that because it’d be so disappointing if so many npcs and features were cut

The problem with the deserted island concept is there isn’t enough room to put all these shops and villager homes while still allowing plenty of space to decorate the island, which is the main theme of this game. That’s why a lot of these shops like Retail, the cafe, police station, dream suite, etc. are getting replaced by convenience menus or just omitted entirely.

They could’ve had a shopping district island but they decided not to do that.

Some of them could come with in expansions. Nooks cranny expansions could feature a floral department, gracies fashion department, and maybe even a flea market setup with Reese and Cyrus. The museum could expand to include the art gallery and the cafe.

I don’t think the dream suite is coming. I feel like that’s something they would have definitely advertised in the Direct.

Or if any of these are not in the game, it could come in the game later. It’s becoming increasingly popular in game development to add free content after launch.

Let's not forget Nintendo can release updates that include stuff like the Dream Suite.

The game was delayed a few months, and could have been delayed longer if Nintendo wanted to put everything in at launch
