For the question stated. I love Christmas personally. It?s literally one of the few days in the year where I get to see all my family. Plus I get to stuff my face with food, and who wouldn?t love that?

So are you a grinch, or a lover? If so, why?

I love it. I may be sensitive to noise, but never sensitive to noises coming from festive events like Christmas. I’m no Grinch or Mr. Scrooge.

I enjoy Christmas. It's a nice holiday that provides some enjoyment in an otherwise cold and depressing part of the year.

Personally I don't really care for X-Mas, having the food was nice, but I can't have that anymore.
I dread any "family" gatherings as it's just my in-laws.

I do enjoy having more time with my partner for the holidays, though.

Both. I mean it's a neat holiday for coming together but it's basically adult drinking booze and being boring and getting stuff you might never use.. and people having way too many different traditions so you can't have a finger in the game at all. Like can I just watch what I want... ?

I don't mind gifts and giving em I guess though but yeah it's too slow.

My favorite's when I specifically say money when they ask about a gift, but get me something anyway, then they get annoyed that I don't use it.

What were you expecting exactly?

exactly.. i don't like getting too much physical stuff bc some I never use and then it's just a waste...ikr

i love getting free stuff as well as the weather. but to be fair i tend to act like a "grinch" all year because i have severe depression

Personally, I always get excited for the Holidays! It's great seeing all the decorations and themed foods/drinks. My friends and I like going to the zoo and parks to view the Christmas/Holiday lights set up. Also, I love going to Target to look at all the holiday items as well as browsing arts and crafts stores. Another favorite part of mine is shopping. Not for myself, but I enjoy shopping for family and friends. Giving gifts to my loved ones makes me happy.

My love language is gift giving so since it's ""appropriate"" to give gifts for Christmas, I'm all for it. (,: I like seeing my friends and family happy, especially because I chose something they asked for/I thought of on my own by observation.

Also, almost every year since I was about 10, my mom & I get gifts for 2-3 people who are not as fortunate during this time of year. This year, I picked two names + gave the gifts (unwrapped, as per instructions) to the people involved last week. One man wanted a polo shirt and another was a young girl who wanted Minecraft. Idk I like giving back, as cheesy as that sounds.

I love Christmas but when it comes to the 2 full months of Music and Holiday Movies all over Hallmark Channels I would rather go insane than endure them.

Honestly im jewish so bringing up christmas was banned at my house. Im so deprived of christmas that from nov 1 - 25 i dress like an elf lol

Yes, my fur turns green when Christmas comes around. It's really weird but I'm used to it.

Christmas is personally my favorite holiday. I see literally no downsides to it: I get presents and delicious food/over a month off from school, there?s festive music all month long, and I get to make my family members happy by buying them gifts they?ll hopefully like. Christmas is the best, man.

I think I'm a Grinch. I used to worked in retail stores and holidays time there was just a pure nightmare (rude customers, hysterical kids, crazy people ..and so on). We had also those little singing Christmas dolls and every day, every hour, and sometimes every minute, our funny customers made them ALL sing thinking it was funny....Yeah it was funny the first time but after 2 months of this...I had some sadistic fantasies.

I don't know why but in my family, it's also the time where accidents and diseases happen. So I'm always a bit anxious....to be honest I'm often close to the panic attack, we are just the 1st and I have already lost 5 pounds. There are not a lot of years where nothing bad happened. I spent a few Christmas at the hospital because of my family and relatives and it's really a sad place to be. Just in the waiting room, I saw several people who attempted suicide, people who had nowhere else to go and lot of old lonely people who came there just not to be alone. I also saw weird things like the hospital staff having a Christmas buffet on a stretcher while patients were vomiting all around. Yuk...

Of course it's also the time of the year when we remember all the loved one who passed always, I used to pass Christmas at my grand-parent's house with all my relatives but they are no longer there, so now we have very quiet Christmas at home where we are just too tired to do anything.

Christmas used to be fun when I was a kid, we had yummy food and gifts and Santa Claus was paying for it. ;)

And don't get me started on Christmas movies and specials on TV, they just make me feel more anxious and miserable.

So yeah I'm a Grinch or a Scrooge, but I like Christmas in ACNL and TBT, I hope we will get a little something special here :p

I love Christmas. And I don't mean the "spending time with family" part because it's always just stressful and filled with arguing, but I love hearing Christmas songs and singing carols and seeing all the decorations and the overall spirit of the holiday. It's pretty magical to me.

I used to be a total Grinch at Christmas time, but honestly, being an adult and having a kid and actually buying people presents and stuff is so much more fun and exiciting than being a disappointed teenager/young adult. So much better. I love everything about Christmas. Making cookies, decorating, seeing all of the Christmas lights. I guess what changed is being in control of it all. I'm a control freak. Oof.

I?m sort of a grinch, but only if it?s a family gathering. Any holiday that brings together a family gathering is a no for me. I?m content with just wishing them happy holidays over the phone and that?s it. Also, I know it?s a religious holiday, but where I grew up, celebrations like Christmas = a couples holiday, which is equally as annoying. But I do enjoy spending it with my friends/room mates. We do secret Santa and potluck and marathon a series (because none of us likes Christmas movies) or play board games. But I could care less about Christmas decorations or caroling and all that.

Probably a grinch to be honest. It?s not that I don?t like Christmas, but a lot of bad stuff usually happens to me or someone I know around Christmas time. I also don?t really care for receiving presents and don?t really ask people to get me anything. The weather and not as much sun usually depresses me around this time tbh, but we?ll see how this Winter goes...

Yeah the family part is what bothers me if anything. Like I don't mind working and seeing christmas stuff everywhere but yeah on the actual days no thanks.
