Are You Worried About The DIYs You Missed Out On?

Kinda. I'm currently really worried about the festive DIYs, since most balloons I pop only give me iron nuggets, clay or some useless item. I've only gotten the illuminated tree and the holiday candle recipes until now (and I've done nothing but wait on the beach to pop those balloons).

I want to get them all before toy day, and it's starting to look like the mush DIYs, when I could find most before the end of the mush season, but not the others (and lots of duplicates).

Not really because we can always TT back and complete them. I wasn’t able to play the game for a long time during quarantine, I stopped for some months and then reset so there’s quite a number I missed but it’s not what worries me. I’m more concerned about failing to get the gift that nintendo gives every time they release an update since I only updated the game now and missed a few.

I've been playing this game with the assumption that all of the seasonal DIYs will return next year. I'm missing a hand full of DIYs from every season (even bunny day stuff somehow) because I'm just not a fan of balloon hunting and didn't trade for the DIYs I wasn't planning on using on my island. But I still want to complete my DIYs some day so I'm hoping to get the ones I'm missing next year or the year after. Of course I really hope they add a few new ones next year as well - especially a cherry blossom arch since my island really needs one.

I was worried about missing the Bunny Day and cherry blossom DIYs bc I didn't have the game at the time so I hope it's just a case of them adding new DIYs/furniture so we can obtain any we don't have alongside the new ones. as someone who doesn't TT I hope the only opportunity of obtaining them isn't TT'ing back, but I guess we'll find out when March rolls around.
and I heard everyone hated Bunny Day but I'd still like to experience the event somewhat aha.

i know exactly how you feel; i was lucky enough to get my switch around the beginning of june, but my island wasn't progressed nearly enough to have my resident services available the same way to have any events. so i'm really hoping that i get a chance to get some of those diys naturally without having to trade or purchase them from other players; especially for that bonsai shelf i'm obsessed with.

I've been farming mush DIYs for my friend who needs them for his island, and this has been hitting me since I got some DIYs I was missing too, lol. Now it's got me wanting to TT to maple leaf season to get the ones I'm missing from there once I get the last 3 mush DIY I need

I think there might be a loop hole in my question which is why everyone agrees with no. People are relying on trading either here or just people in general for the DIYs but at some point unless they're time traveling backwards or using a certain glitch to duplicate things, won't those DIYs cease? and THAT is the fear I kind of want to ask about too. It's true, people on here are ever so sweet and would give spare DIYs (a little shoutout to those guys, thank you <3) but I'm kind of.. hinting at if you didn't have here, if you couldn't rely on someone else or maybe someone who can't play online to even trade, does that fear of not getting those DIYs exist?
It's also true that Nintendo hasn't really forked us over (I do feel just because they havent yet doesn't mean they won't, it will be sneaky too in a way we can't refuse because we love it kinda sneaky), However, as many people have said, they'll probably bring the events back next year but spruce it up, I think this year it still counts as basically beta testing. We won't know until next year comes. I also want to say, my intentions were never to put fear in people, just incase I did, I'm sorry.

I think the reason I am not worried, is because the way animal crossing generally works is repeated events every year with giveaways. I can see them sprucing up some of the events. Changing ratios and everything. I can see them adding new collectibles and you have the old ones return. Mostly because they already released that coding, and you can still go back to the event. So unless they released coding to subsequently block or delete that event, they would still exist. I don't see them deleing or overwriting the old code, because it would not only affect time travelers for thoughts that do it, but also the items already in the game, as they would be obsolete.
Now unfortunately I could see them releasing new items as payable content when the event rolls around, but I am kind of hoping they will no go that DLC route. Either way, there are always ways to get items such as a community like this, or through a friend that plays.

Nah. At first I was, but this is not the type of game to rush and complete everything as soon as you can, so I just take my time and if I miss something, then to the forums for trading I go.
