neoratz had a thread like this and it seemed fun so why not -- im also desperately trying to stay awake while doing work so what better than to find a distraction

i threw this ref together for a secret santa once and boy has it come in handy​

he is based on the persona that i use and base most of my characters on (e.g. my mii) who looks similar but different

notably the little blips of hair on the side and slightly different hair/eye shades. acnh has a non-ideal palette but i make do

hidden underneath his layer of cute is a layer of chaos and silliness and occaisonal threats of violence but he means well

he is also incredibly easy and fast for me to draw hence why i can doodle him at insane speeds

What's your favourite game other than AC?

this one's tough! in terms of all-time favourite games, it would be Tales of Symphonia (followed closely by
Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Vesperia -- i like the tales series a lot)
in terms of games that you can almost always get me to pick up and play unless im busy, it would be Tetris!
in terms of games im currently playing, Cookie Run Kingdoms! mobile games are convenient because i like laying in bed

i have a soft spot for puzzle games in general, though, and cute games! so my love for puyo tetris is strong

look i can give serious answers to stuff

edit: i got distracted by tales and tetris so much that i forgot to mention Witch's House! i love that game dearly. also a lot of RPG maker horror games.

i cant replicate the brush i use for colouring in other programs properly

i did not go to meme school -- im self-taught in the ways of memery

i like memes that are slightly cursed. things that elicit a "why" type of reaction
im not quite sure if this qualifies as a meme but this is my absolute favourite thing of all time

this never fails to make me happy​

if i were the maker of that teddybear i would feel so much pride and honour. it must be amazing to live knowing you created a masterpiece that garnered such reactions.

as for favourite multiplayer game...... that's tough -- im going to exclude MMOs and plot-driven games from this
i think i'd have to say puyo tetris 2 -- just because doing the 'boss fights' with my friends was really funny. otherwise, i play a lot of phasmophobia and dead by daylight with friends so i quite like those

i think its more the friends i play with that i like, rather than specific games. i like a lot of things.

I guess a bit of a serious question in the ocean of all the meme ones but how did you avoid burnout during the two weeks of the event? I definitely got hit hard around the 9-10 day mark.

2. How were you introduced to Animal Crossing?
3. What was the first video game you ever played?
4. What got you into drawing?
5. Speaking of drawing, how did you establish the art style you have now?
5. How is it not until the TBTWC event that I heard you now?

ah yes, burnout. i felt that too
spectating and participating in games didn't burn me out at all, but cheer creations and the likes did take quite a bit of effort (especially towards the end)! but it was a mix of "if purple team is close to winning, i wouldn't forgive myself if we lost because i slacked a little" and people seemed to find some joy out of what i did, which was good motivation! it also really helped for me to actually find fun things that happened in a day and reflect on those for cheer creations -- reflecting on the fun in a day was also motivating

no pets!
taking care of another life is something that i don't want to take lightly, and i can barely be responsible for myself -- if left to my own devices, i'd probably only eat once a day and it wouldnt be much of a meal. my attention span is also too short, and taking care of a pet is a very long commitment and i dont think i would like the heartache if something went wrong.

(if i were to have one though itd be a gecko. small and cute.)

1. i needed a name when i started an mmo (mabinogi), and at the time i was reading .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet (.hack holds a special place in my heart) -- i really liked the characters Mireille and Mistral for both their personalities and design, so i slapped those names together and got Mistreil, so i used that ever since
2. i dont actually remember! i think my sister had Wild World but i never played it -- i saw her play it! and then new leaf came out and then we both got the game and now here we are
3. Bust-a-Move '99! aka Puzzle Bobble 3 -- i was like.... really little at the time, but i remember that game very very distinctly
   i love the puzzle bobble series
4. theres a few things, but i think it was mostly Maplestory! i played it a lot when i was little, so i would try to draw my character -- at the same time i was also into a bunch of series (Inuyasha, Pokemon, Full Moon wo Saga****e, and so on), so it was sort of a natural little kid thing to do of "i want to draw too!! i want to draw like that!!"
   theres a lot of things that contributed to it -- a lot of friends i made, family, media, etc.
5. laziness and i cant get away from the shoujo influences and decided to embrace it. cute good.
   i think my colouring is probably one of the more distinct things about my style, but it is all entirely based off laziness!! this requires a very long explanation of my brush settings and how i colour, though.
   
   5.2 (because you labelled both as 5 hehe): i disappear a lot and just pop in for events! im actually a pretty quiet person and stuck to the museum board when i was active (and even then, i didnt talk much outside of my own thread because ive got too much social anxiety for that most of the time!)
   i sort of exist at my own pace and so its easy to miss
6. sometimes! but i take breaks and try not to push myself too hard -- but i like funny things in general and my brain bounces between a bunch of different ideas and makes a lot of weird connections, so im usually okay! one day i aspire to think solely in memes.
7. all dogs are good dogs. i have no favourite
   i like small dogs more though, just because small is cute and i like cute.
8. nope! not in that i didnt like it -- i did! but it also took a lot of effort and energy, and its nice to have a break
   it also drained my social battery a lot more than i'm used to, so im recovering while trying to still socialize at my own pace -- hence this thread. otherwise no one would see me for months and i dont really want to do that.
9. because youre points are still listed. your points. hand 'em over.
   i'd make an edit with the 'your toes. hand em' over' image but im sort of feeling like i shouldnt do that. its a bit too much for this place, i feel.
