Ooh that’s cool, both of those instruments sound great.
Hahah in the case of nya neko sugar girls though:
1. Who’s your favourite character?
2.What section/episode/scene is your favourite? Hahaha
1. hitoshi-san. hands down. for the singing. koneko-chan is good too
2. HONESTLY i think its when raku-chan dies. the [blek] sound just... it was true art. i could not ask for a better ending

i will share... the very first picture i ever drew with my tablet (2007)
a very cute story about this: i was really proud of myself and i printed it out and brought it to school and one of the older students that i was friends with (who also did art and i really respected them) was proud of me, which got me drawing more and more.
i dont have many pictures saved from that time, but i did have that and a few others.
one more that im willing to share is from 2008 because i still draw fanart of these characters
ion and sync from tales of the abyss
sync was my favourite character back then, and still one of my favourites now
im dying of embarrassment but im proud of younger me.
i am in the 25-30 range! i can answer in private but prefer not to give my specific age in public
unfortunately, i never read warrior cats! i think the only book i read that was in that radius was The Sight, because my best friend really loved the book. i remember very little but i would recognize the names from that book instantly.
the series i was more into as a kid were Series of Unfortunate Events, and Artemis Fowl (also some Darren Shan books since one of my friends was into those, but i only remember bits and pieces)
it is very cool! its not published or anything (because they would rather not) and my friend doesn't call it a novella -- but it absolutely is one. and i will call it as i see it.
rest time is for rest, and sometimes it's good to just... not do things. i don't think it sounds silly!
also, i always see flowers of algernon being mentioned and i'm just... one day i should read it. but i know i wont. i say that about a lot of books-- it would be really nice to just have time to sit down and go through classics
my work is not related to art or memes in the slightest! my job is related to post-secondary computer science education. that's about as far as i'll go with describing it in public (though i'm fine talking in private about this sort of stuff) \o/ i like computer science and programming just as much as i like art (and i'd like to think i'm much better at the former than the latter)
I’m convinced we would be besties, I’m 26 so in that age range and I’m also into computers/art although don’t have a computer related career, just always been interested in them haha. ALSO ur early art is amazing wtf ??? That honestly looks better than the stuff I draw now ill try and source the first art I drew and will pm you!
I definitely recommend flowers for Algernon, it was on my list for aaaages and I finally decided to buy it and now it’s the first book I recommend to people! I love the way it’s written (Altho some of the terminology is severely outdated and offensive)
so interesting about ur job!!
I have another question… do u remember the first forum you ever joined?
(Also idk why but this question reminded me of my first internet experience before forums. I was obsessed with Dylan and Cole sprouse and joined a chat and seriously thought I was talking to Cole sprouse lmfao. I was deffo groomed or something HAHA)
Also do u have any niche interests? Like for mine id say tamagotchis!

yes. share your earliest art with me and also i dont know what youre talking about-- your art is like miles ahead of where i was back then
be kinder to yourself!! past me appreciates your compliment but present me knows The Truth

im honestly trying to wrack my brain for this and... i know i was on some forums as a kid but i can't actually recall
the best i can think of is... neopets. the neoboards and the guild forums! my maplestory guild also had their own forum (one of the invisionfree ones that used to be like... everywhere back then), which had even older art than what i posted before -- i can't find it anymore though. i found it again a few years ago and... while i dont mind how other people type, seeing 2006 me... i... it's not as bad as i thought it'd be but my god was it still embarrassing
Also do u have any niche interests? Like for mine id say tamagotchis!
i have a lot of plushies -- most of them are frogs! the only thing stopping me from buying more is that i don't have space for them. i also have one maplestory slime plush. it is big.
i like trying different flavoured snacks! i found a website lately that ships a lot of foreign flavours (and it's canada-based, so shipping isn't insane). pudding-flavoured kitkats are actually really good. braised pork lays are also legit.

the colour is blue -- in terms of one that would be given a flavour it would be this shade of blue ■ maybe? so like blue-raspberry colour but ever so slightly more green tinted
the flavour... since i like white peach, i'd honestly go with something like that. but maybe a bit lighter/more refreshing? because i'd imagine it'd be something more reminiscent of water
what a very difficult but fun question that just makes me want more white peach flavoured things
1. nope! my parents spoke more cantonese and another chinese dialect (teochewnese) at home, so i'm able to understand that but also i can't speak those -- sad time. vietnamese wasn't something i heard often enough when i was young.
the only thing i can recognize is when my mom is talking about me since she tends to switch from cantonese to vietnamese for that when talking to my grandparents! usually its not for positive reasons, but she knows that i can't understand it and we joke about this
i can recognize a lot of food names, though, and that's what's important.
2. i think i'd have to say banh khot! nem nuong is a close second though.
3. have a hastily and messily thrown together board!
my aesthetic is.. a mishmash of a lot of stuff its like
creepy-cute things
silly-cute things
colourful stuff (i put a lot of pink/blue but its actually mostly the blue part! pink is just a good compliment, and i like contrast/compliments)
stars and constellations
flowers
traditional asian architecture/fashion (mostly chinese, but also SEA stuff)
im probably missing a handful of things i like, but thats all i can think of right now!

Ah, you named some good dishes there. There's alot of underrated dishes that get overshadowed by pho lol.
Such a pretty aesthetic! I especially like that clock image, it looks like a dreamy version of the Astronomical Clock in Prague, which I think you might like.

yeah... whenever i talk vietnamese food people mention pho and im always a bit thrown off by that!
i rarely ate pho growing up -- it was always just from viet restaurants and i always liked com tam suon nuong more! im usually the odd one out though, since my family likes pho more.

it's based on that, i think -- i had to look for the prague clock to fight the right photo. i think astronomical clocks are really pretty! pretty clock designs are
1) Which class(es) did you enjoy playing most in Maplestory?
2) Describe your perfect meal including appetizer, entree, and dessert.
3) Tell me about your travels (or where you would like to travel).
in terms of old school classes: archer (hunter)! i just liked ranged classes at the time -- arrow bomb was the bomb
when cygnus knights came out: wind archer! because it was like hunter but better
for all the new classes... i played demon hunter and i think that's my preference -- it's pretty fun, and i like slapping a bunch of buttons and moving around.
2) Describe your perfect meal including appetizer, entree, and dessert.
no amount of schooling has ever prepared me for this question. god uhhHHhh
appetizer: potato pancakes? a few anyways -- if those count as appetizers even. potato good
entree: braised sea cucumber with shiitake mushrooms (+ rice) -- some meat as well (probably bulgogi or something to that effect)
dessert: white peach parfait
it's not a very coherent menu but i like each part individually!
3) Tell me about your travels (or where you would like to travel).
when i was little i went to the US once and cuba, but i dont really count those (my memories of some of these are vague, and not really of my own volition)
after i finished graduate studies though, i did some travelling!
i went to vietnam with my parents (both south and north, though mostly i was in hcmc/saigon) and to visit a friend! it was a fun experience, and i was a lot more comfortable than i expected (since i was pretty averse to travelling beforehand, especially when i can't even speak vietnamese)
a few weeks after that trip, i went to paris to visit some other friends, which was also a nice experience! it essentially just became a food trip and playing together with friends was nice.
before covid happened, my plans were to go to vietnam again, and to visit switzerland, the uk, and japan -- all of them for the sake of hanging out with some of my friends (since that's my main incentive). all of these plans are on hold for now, but eventually.. hopefully... ywy)9
the list is long indeed, but i think the main ones are
maplestory: i really loved party quests! it's also one of the first mmos i ever played, so it holds a special place in my heart.
trickster online: they had a drilling system in this game, and i adored it! i spent all of my time doing that instead of levelling properly, but it was very fun.
lunia: the combat was fun in this one -- it was very combo-based, and i liked the different classes! it was one of the first games i played that had a puppeteer-like class, which i adore.
mabinogi: the skill system in mabinogi is hands down my favourite. it gives a lot of freedom and doesn't force you into a specific class, which i'm a huge fan of. i like games that give you freedom!
there's a lot of games that i like but didnt list (maplestory 2 for its UGC, ragnarok online in general, tree of savior for its class/combat system... toontown for the trolley games.) -- otherwise the list would get very very long. theres also a handful of games that i only played for a short while
at present i dont have enough time to dedicate to any MMOs, and none really pull me in enough. maplestory 2 was probably the most recent but it closed
i was looking forward to Peria Chronicles but then that game got cancelled... so now i'm waiting for Blue Protocol! it'll be a long wait, but i hope it's worth it ywy);; i like anime-styled MMOs the most
