favourite puyo characters:
prince salde (human ocean prince): his design. his voice. his personality. he's perfect
yu & rei: cute twins! i love yu a lot -- their voice is really nice! indeedy! yes indeedy! indeedy!!!
jay & elle: twins! their voices are really nice. shenanigans! shenanigans! double mischief! you like that?
sig: i love him!! he's very cute. i love how chill he is
otomo: cute... he also reminds me of le petit prince in terms of design --
tee and squares are also really good -- pretty boys...
favourite hm/sos games:
story of seasons: literally all of my love for this game is because of mistel
grand bazaar: i found the bazaar system really cute! also played this one a lot trying to get ivan
sunshine islands: i played this one a lot -- cute blonde boy gives me strength.
tale of two towns: i don't actually remember playing that much, but i do remember struggling between ash and cam. my love. my heart.
my first game was AWL but my sister mostly played that one, not me. i havent play olive town long enough to make a good opinion -- the fomt remake was nice, but i havent gotten to my goal yet (marrying kappa) so no comment. the doraemon story of seasons is also very visually appealing

mistel: hands down, for very obvious reasons -- the moment he was revealed my fate was sealed. cute blonde boy dressed in blue with a name close to mine-- im a simple person with simple tastes
ivan: he's so soft. im so weak
will: little me liked the princely type and also his character design is up my alley too
linh: my daughter. my angel. i love her.

i just love these two a lot -- they're both very unrepentant down to their last moments. i also love their voices and design

phi (both original and innominat): just look at his design and also similarities to mithos. ask me again i dare u
aster (aka not emil): i really liked his design and story/personality! he was such a good lad i stand by my thought that ToS2 wouldnt have been so bad if they didnt bring the original cast in. all the characters stood up well on their own but they just soured everything for ToS fans with their depiction of the original characters--

one thing you need to know about me is that 99% of the characters i like are either 1) sickly/dying, 2) dead, and/or 3) side characters that barely get content rody is an exception because she's technically a main character
1. im impartial to them -- i think some are very cute! but some of the character-shaped ones are.......... unsettling

i love sumikkogurashi a lot!! especially tokage -- my friend gave this one to me (the hat is mine but i just slap it on because it matches well), but i also own like. 3 other tokage plushes.

Of these I only played Story of Seasons haha, I stopped at HM(DS Cute) and came back at Story of Seasons. In the mean time I was playing the Rune Factory Series instead. I really like Story of Seasons though!

Ya I should have known Mistel would be your favorite LOL. He is, very cute... Linh looks very cute too from what ive seen of Pioneers, haven't picked it up yet cause I was waiting for patches to fix stuff.

Phi is very adorable... Makes you want to love and protect... I also agree that ToS2 could have been a good game but... why did they have to bring in the ToS cast... WHY DID THEY HAVE A LEVEL CAP. I'm just.... so sad....

also important: if you're doing art and posting on social media, don't pay attention to likes/shares/etc. (unless you're doing art specifically in a commercial capacity -- if you're doing it for money, i have a lot of other advice for that). likes/shares/etc. are a mix of skill and luck (and a lot of self-marketing). those numbers aren't a reflection of your skill.

(i am.. going to try to keep this somewhat short, so this isn't super comprehensive and i skipped over a lot of possible topics. but i'm happy to expand on things)
in terms of doing it for money: it has a lot more to do with marketing yourself and networking -- having good art skills is very helpful here, but isn't the be-all-end-all! you have to be very consistent with your post timing, and in what you're posting and where (+ when) you're posting. for example, posting at times when people are around (this depends on the platform and your audience) will get you a lot more interest than posting otherwise, even if its the exact same piece.
it's also fairly important to build an audience before trying to make money, and that the audience your works target have enough interest to use money (e.g. some mobile game communities are a lot more likely to buy art/merch/etc. than some f2p game communities -- just by virtue of mobile games relying on some amount of money investment already). it also depends on what you're trying to sell: whether its commissions or merchandise makes a pretty big difference.
luck is also a pretty big factor beyond that -- there are a lot of artists that don't market themselves intentionally, but something they make goes viral and they get attention from that. being at the right place at the right time is very important, so putting out more content gives more chances too!
making a living through art is tough -- you have to be your own marketing person, PR, etc. in addition to regularly putting out art. i'd imagine the experience is similar to games -- i also pay attention to game development/marketing/etc. but i'm around visual artists more than i am game developers, despite doing both.

bordeaux cherry ice cream is also good, same goes for cookies n' cream! i like most ice cream flavours, especially colourful ones. i am a simple person. if it looks fun i like it.
(on a related note, and because you reminded me of the playdoh ice cream thread:
there was some ice cream flavour i was given lately that... seemed like it was supposed to be vanilla, but it tastes like how playdoh smells. that was certainly an experience. i wish i knew what it was-- im pretty sure it was some type of vanilla flavour.)
