Gosh, this was a surprisingly hard choice! I ended up voting for:
- Sasha, because I am, as my title suggests, a bunny enthusiast. I love rabbit characters in general, and Sasha (the newest resident of my island) is just precious. Plus, I love his design! ❤
- Raymond, because he's a cheeky little hipster cat who makes the Smug personality more charming and endearing than any other Smug villager I've had since I started playing with New Leaf. He was the first NH-introduced villager on my island, and he's "odd-eyed" like my actual kitty. :3
- Shino, because I haven't had any of the others from the list on my island yet, but her design is just so interesting, unique, and pretty. (Ione almost took my third pick for the same reasons)

Maybe it's because of the excitement for novelty and that he isn't as "fresh" compared to the most recent villagers...

Petri is my favourite. It seems like she's one of those villagers that everyone likes but she doesn't quite stand out compared to the other popular choices

Sasha, Raymond, and Shino.
Raymond has been permanent on my island since April 2020. I just love his little smug business cat vibes.
Sasha is new to my island but I had to pick him because he’s the first lazy I’ve clicked with in NH. I used to have several I loved in NL but the personality changes weirdly had me less than enamored.
Lastly Shino because I had no real interest in her until I saw her crazy looking smile. I just loved it haha

I voted for Shino because I love her Japanese oni theme. My whole island is morphing into a zen/natural theme. With the new vine/moss furniture is also giving off a slight magical theme. Shino's perfect for my island's theme for that reason. Her Japanese oni theme fits very well since onis are pretty supernatural. Shino also goes great with other yokai/mythical villagers on my island, such as Drago and Phoebe. On a personal note, Shino is also the first peppy that I've grown really fond of so it makes sense for me to vote for her.
Ione is a good second choice for me. I heard that she glows in the dark so that's pretty neat. I hope to run into her in the future and send her an invite.

Probably obvious but I chose Sasha, Ione, and Shino. When I saw them in the 2.0 trailer they're the only villagers that seriously wowed me. I love Dom and wish I could pick a fourth, but I didn't have as much of a "I NEED HIM ON MY ISLAND RIGHT NOW." reaction to him. I know now that they're super popular so they get a lot of flack for that but I still love them a lot. Their designs are unique and their houses look great on my island, and their personalities fit so well with what I was looking for.

Ione is so beautiful, I'm a sucker for glow in the dark and space themes so it was love at first sight

8th - Dom, The Dominator Of Fluff - It shouldn't come to a surprise that the only one who made it this far without my support falls first. He's decent and cute, but he certainly isn't that interesting either. Maybe one day I'll take him in to see if he wins me over like he has done so many. But for now, he sits easily in last place for me.
7th - Ione, The Starry Butt Squirrel - Her colors are beautiful and I love the Squirrel's species quite a bit. I have to dock some points for her missing the swirl on her tail though, I always found it cute on the other ones and it could of been a shooting star. Part of her downfall is me generally expecting my friend to take her in, so I'm not really thinking about having her on my island. Also, I'm not sold on Normal fitting her and think Sisterly could of been more interesting on her.
6th - Petri, The Mad Scientist Who Dishes - I really love her theme and overall dorky look hiding some beauty underneath. I really like Petri's overall theme, but I have to take into consideration I don't really like the hairdo going on... and I don't like the bow on the back of her head. She is one of the best mice alongside Rod and Bree, but the model of the species is a bit faulty. I was pretty hyped for her for quite some time, but I think the hairdo sinks her a bit for me even if it gives her all three primary colors which is neat.
5th - Marlo, The Little Mafia Man - Never liked a Hamster till him, and he reminds me of a cat with his grumpy face and coloring. I think his theme is a fun and the overall package is quite great. I'm still not huge on the Hamster model though, so that will of course knock him down.
4th - Sasha, The One People Misjudged - Sasha has been quite a rollercoaster overall, and I honestly probably would of placed him at the top another day. I haven't had him yet and that could change things to put him farther up, but the Lazy personality isn't exactly my favorite at times and clashes a bit with his design as well. I think for now, he'll have to fall into 4th even if I think he is pretty adorable and has a really nice color scheme. i struggled with deciding between 3rd and 4th's placement.
3rd - Raymond, The Villager Who Costs Money - The ridiculously over popular Cat has a striking design, there's not much more to say about that. I appreciate his nose existing unlike many Cats with their nose-less selves. His markings are cute. His hairdo isn't horrible. His different eyes are nice. He's just a really solid Villager with some personality in his design. I passed him up once and would love if he'd bless me with his presence again.
2nd - Shino, The Second Raymond - I scanned her in. The only other villager I have done this with was Etoille, and that's cause you had to. Shino has a beautiful design and beautiful colors. Her being Peppy is actually a bonus in a few ways for me. For one, it made her interesting and a bit quirky. And for two, I still hadn't figured out a permanent Peppy for my island. Shino has became a favorite of mine. She is amazing.
1st - Reneigh, The Horse With Attitude - Rocket was my Starter Sisterly and the overall look of most of the Sisterly cast was a turn off. Reneigh was always one of the very few and interesting Sisterlys for me, and I needed her after enduring Rocket. My 2nd longest hunt has me encounter the Sisterly my friend was hunting on Ticket #76 who I also had some interest in. I was running low on ticket and fuel, but I decided to pass on Phoebe since my friend wanted her... #77 was Reneigh and she has been my longest reigning Queen of my island as most of the old school Females have been cycled out. I think her color scheme is beautiful as I love the magenta, browns, pinks, and light blues.

All of the animals here look really good it's very difficult for me to choose but I have to go with Shino I just love her design how it is kinda like she is an oni deer I could be severely bias bc I am a big weeb, but her design screams genuinely "unique" which is why I believe she deserves 1st I think a close 2nd for me, would be Petri didn't vote for her but she's a great addition to the very weak mouse species IMO and I love how she looks without her glasses, but the mad scientist look is very fun indeed Marlo is my #3 just a little hamster mob boss is cute and hilarious also does help that hamster is also a somewhat weak species

Reneigh, Dom and Raymond were my votes. But Audie is my favorite new villager. Shes perfect.
Reneigh is my favorite in the poll and thats because shes awesome and reminds me of the fashions that were popular when I was younger. She looks like someone I would admire back then.
I actually did a hunt for her and spent 523 tickets on that hunt xD so I do really like her.
Sasha I wish wasnt lazy. I thought it was a girl in the reveal trailer and peppy or normal and was so excited. But lazy is the type I like the least in the game... if he was anything but lazy I would love him. Cranston is one of my fav villagers and i had him for a long time and all he talked about was bugs that he talked to and food items he ate off the floor or whatever. Just. No.
Dom and Raymond I have had on my island and I miss them a little. Both are really cute (Doms stinkface is adorable, Raymond looks like the type of guys I fall for xD) so I had to pick them.
But im curious of Ione. Shino looks a bit too ghostly for my taste but I do like the oni touch. Just not my personal aesthethic.

I chose Shino and Petri.
Shino because of her concept. Japanese folklore is always a plus. Her design is also great especially her color palette. Red is pretty on her. She's on my island and I think she's great. Peppy fits her once you get to interact more often.

I'm pretty sad Marlo isn't further up, sure he looks sad and all, but he has the chubbiest little cheeks, he looks like he wants to be a governor, and imagine him in a monocle, hes just too cute.
