I think it's just for your first birthday after you join. I got some in 2014, but not last year or this year.

Nope, because my first birthday as a new member was earlier this month.

There's a few things on here at the moment that aren't working properly. And I know the bells interest has been disabled so I'm thinking its maybe the same for birthday bells?

My birthday was Friday and I didn't get anything either no PM no bells. Oh well. Just seems weird as the other two years I've been on here I've gotten the bells.
