Can I see your dream villager lineup?

This is difficult! These are the ones I most like aesthetically.

I have the first 8 currently on my island. Also have Zell and Francine, but thinking of replacing Zell, Francine, and Chrissy with Coco, Static and Sasha. Not sure about Zell yet. He's new and don't have the strongest bond. It's funny because Lionel was my first smug and I ended up letting him go because I didn't love his design, but felt a bond with him over his silliness.

I really should try to find more of a balance because I have too many peppies, too many rabbits, and missing too many species and personalities.

Mine are also in my signature! I have all of my dreamies for now but that may change at some point. I usually go for one of every personality and then add whoever I want for the rest. My type is usually really cute sparkly eyed villagers or ones with pretty color schemes. I don't care at all what species they are so I've ended up with a lot of wolves, deer, and bunnies lol. I may switch some of my current ones out for my favorites (Maple and Diana) but after having them in my New Leaf and previous New Horizons towns I wanted to give other villagers that I liked a chance.

My lineup! I currently have everyone but Sasha; so currently have Merengue instead. I really didn't mean to make my island so many doubles of animals (2 sheep, rabbit, wolf, cat, and then lone Shino and Lucky), it just ended up that way! Kid Cat is the newest edition, originally I had Genji and didn't plan on ever moving him out but when I found him on an island, I realized that wish Sasha I would have 3 buns, so took him!

One of every personality, plus one extra peppy and lazy!

Here's my list. Rudy was my first vilalger in NH. I liked him automatically and to this day he's pretty much my favorite. He's like my best friend lmao.

Al was like the first villager I chose on my Island from another Island in the beginning of the game. I initally thought he looked strange and was like ehh but then something about him kinda just made me like him and so I decided to let him come to my Island and he ended up becoming one of my favorites haha. He's hilariously innocent.

Piper came to my island randomly. I actually didn't realize this till later since the New Horizons villlagers from the Gamecube version are a little different in their demeanors and personalities but Piper was like one of my favorites from the Gamecube version. I instantly liked her when she arrived on my Island and now I know that that's part of the reason why.

Wolfgang was one of the villagers me and my brother would sometimes get when we played the gamecube version. I remember we were both like "whoaa" about him and thought it was cool that he had K.K. Rock playing in his house lmao. I'm trying to get him back to bring back the vibes from my original gamecube AC days.

Bill was one of my old gamecube AC villagers too. I don't know what it is about him. I think it's just cuz he reminds me of gamecube AC. I remember liking him back then.

Mint is just chill to me. I don't know what it is. I think I kinda remember her from the Gamecube AC so I think that's partially what draws me to her.

Tom was one of my first villagers from the gamecube AC. I remember him pretty distinctly. I remember liking him back then. I kinda want him back but I'm not sure since he's a lil different now compared to the gamecube AC but yeah. I may or may not have him as my top 10 but for now I think I do.

Tammy was my first villager along with Rudy. I don't know, she kind of just grew on me. I like that she says "ya heard" lmaoo. I'm from NYC so I relate with that kind of slang. You know what? She kind of reminds me of Chanel West Coast lmaooo. I just feel a connection with her, but I'm thinking about replacing her with someone else. I'm not sure yet.. But ehh she can rock for now.

Gonzo's super random, I know. But I don't know. He just grew on me. Something about him just made me find a connection with him lol. He's mad adorable lol I don't know what it is xDDD. I honestly might switch him for someone else too when I get the chance tho. Haven't decided. Same as Tammy. But we'll see.

Bam is a villager I just got and I kinda like him. He's blue which is my fav color and he's a Jock which I basically am since I'm obsessed with exercise, health, fitness etc lol. I don't know tho. Something about him makes me maybe want to switch him with like Jay or something. But I'm gonna keep him for now and see if he grows on me.

I remember liking Bunnie, Dotty, Egbert and/or Hank (although there were times where I wanted to get rid of them for being too cheesy haha), Butch and Jay in the Gamecube AC.

I definitely might get Jay, Butch and/or Bunnie in place of maybe Tammy/Gonzo/Mint/Bam. We'll see.. I def remember having a connection with Bunnie back in Gamecube AC. Her and Piper lol I think.

At the moment I have Rudy, Tammy, Al, Piper, Gonzo, Bam, Nana who randomly came out of nowhere when I was searching for Wolfgang lol smh, Naomi who I've been trying to get rid of, Vladamir who I've been trying to get rid of and even complained about him like 50 times to Isabelle but he just won't go away and keeps giving me stuff instead to like convince me not to get rid of him or something lol and I recently just got Zell who a lot of people seem to like but I don't know. I'm unsure about him atm. I had Keaton in his place and Keaton kind of grew on me but I kind of got sick of the Smug personality after a while. I thought it was just Keaton's type of Smug but I think I just kinda don't like the way they made Smug in NH lol. They're always saying Guten Tag and words that a little out of the norm at times for me haha. Everyone needs a friend like that but I haven't found any real connection with a Smug villager in NH like that yet personally.

(I originally had Nan, Kidd, Poppy, and Pecan for awhile, but decided to switch them out for Teddy, Maple, Molly, and Ketchup because of the house exteriors.)

My aesthetic is very autumnal, so I’ve tried to mimic that whenever I pick my villagers.

I supposed my lineup is fine.
I wasn’t sure about Dotty, but her house fit in very well. Even better than I expected, so I’ll probably keep her. Raddle and Agnes’ house now don’t fit in at all. But this is my lineup until I figure things out:

I love this spooky lineup. That’s what I’m trying to do with my village, too. I was thinking maybe switching some out to have Roscoe, Mathilda, rodeo and cole because of their colors!

I keep a lot of my villagers that I had a connection with in previous games too! I still have Kiki because I loved her so much in the GC version. A lot of people want to cycle through new ones, but I am like you and I like to have villagers that I’ve had connections with before.

Right now this is what my current Dreamie lineup would be

The villagers are chosen because I like them best. If there are similarities it's because of my taste, not because I'm going for a specific theme.

I like villagers that are a little different or out of the ordinary. Like Ribbot the robot, Meringue who is based on food, Ione who has a starry tail, or Raymond who has mismatched eyes. I also like villagers that put a new spin on the species types. Drago the dragon, Audie the fox, and Julia the peacock are examples of this. They are actually using the alligator, wolf, and ostrich templates respectively but they've each been changed so the villager looks like an entirely new species. My favorite color is blue, so that's more heavily represented by the villagers too.

It's important to me to have at least 1 villager from each personality. Cherry isn't technically a Dreamie, but she's the best Sisterly I've found so far so she makes the cut. I don't like to have repeats of species in my island. I prefer Marshal over Raymond a little bit but am super interested in Ione and so Marshal was removed from the lineup so there wouldn't be two squirrels.

In the end I love having colorful villagers with sparkly eyes, like Sasha, Dom or Cookie that also remind me of foods, like Merengue and Marshal and are extremely handsome and/or sweet like the rest of them for me! I like that you’re keeping villagers that have a unique theme. That’s exactly why I kept Cherry - she’s different than my other villagers but she has her own design to her that isn’t like anyone else’s.

Aww, thank you so much!! . I do, but it hasn’t been updated for quite some time; I’ve been basically revamping parts of my island slowly for 2-3 months now. I still have the villager neighborhood, campsite, and one character house to decorate (well, and the beaches), but I might end up trying to unlock all the design features from HHP in each house.

I currently have my dream villager lineup on my island! (Though, I might want to cycle some villagers in with Amiibo cards for a change of pace occasionally when I actually get their cards)

Sherb - He was actually my first acquired dreamie and I hadn't known he was at the time! I was using NMTs for my first few villagers in the beginning and ran into him. I was immediately hooked and asked him to come home! (Unfortunately, that means he has a starter house, which means I'll have to get his regular home sometime...)

Poppy - I have loved this girl for as long as I can remember and was super stoked when I found her in 20 NMT! She's a huge dreamie of mine and she will always be one of my favorite villagers. (She's so fun to dress up too!)

Lily - Another long time dreamie of mine. I got her very soon after Poppy, (and in even less tickets if I remember correctly?) and she fit in very well with everyone on my island.

Olivia - I ADORE cat villagers. And Olivia is by far one of my favorites.

Tangy - A random find when searching, I immediately fell in love with her and she came home. I have never once regretted bringing her home. She's a joy to have around!

Ankha - I spent forEVER looking for Ankha. I love Eygptian themed things and she spoke to me and I knew I needed her. One night I found a person on the New Neighbor's Network offering Ankha up for adoption and I jumped on it! Thankfully she came home and she'll never be leaving!

Raymond and Marshal - I'm doing these two together because I never intended them to be on my island a permanent residents. I first found Raymond in 65 tickets and not even a month later, Marshal appears in 125 tickets. I thought I could invite them to my island and maybe sell them after I got bored with them, but that never happened! I love them both so much now, I can never see either leaving!

Kitty - She was my first invited villager via Amiibo's. I had recently bought some cards as I wasn't having any luck finding anyone I liked on the islands. After that, I just popped Kitty into my campsite and she was here! (I believe she is the only villager I had in my NL town that I have now in NH...)

Cookie - So funny story. I wasn't sure who I wanted on my island to replace Blanche who had asked to leave. I was hoping that I could get Shino (this was after the 2.0 update dropped). I had jokingly said to my friend the day that Blanche was in boxes that "I hope I get Cookie. She's so cute and would totally fit in with my whole 'pink island' aesthetic". Lo and behold, I found Cookie in 4 tickets. I love her and will never be letting her go. She's grown on me already in the 2 days she's lived here.

Man I talked way more than I thought I would...

I love how each one has a story you can tell how much they mean to you. Love it ! And I love how they all look so good together.

What is your town theme? Is it colorful theme?

Honestly it was totally unintentional! They are like the rainbow and I love them with all my heart, but nope, my theme is sort of fairy/Citycore with lots of trees and a touch of cottagecore (heavily wip tho), but my island it's super colorful full of alla flowers and bushes so I'm quite happy with this

The above are not necessarily my favourite villagers, but as of right now they're the ones I am crossing my fingers about getting in the campsite/island tour/as an autofill as I'm keen to get their photos. Most of them I think look adorable and would look really sweet bumbling about my island, especially the pigs! With the exception of Beardo and Roswell the above villagers are ones I haven't encountered in New Horizons at all, which adds to the "dream" aspect of the lineup I suppose.

If you can't tell I don't really go for a theme when selecting villagers, I just let fate decide who will be moving in, which generally works out well.

Spoiler: if I had to choose 10 dream villagers I could never swap out then it would be a bit different

I really like the bear villagers (Chow & Tutu in particular) and could have probably done a dream lineup consisting of all bears, but Admiral, Cole, Puck and Stinky are really special to me. If I were going to have 10 villagers who could never be swapped out I'd need to have them. Especially Admiral, he was the villager who made me realise the cranky personality is one I actually really enjoy interacting with.

I'm a fickle person, so this will change. Even doing it not I started switching people out and around. I currently have Henry, Pierce, Reneigh, Shino, Groucho, Gala, and Jacques.
I have Rex, Bud, and Genji on my island that are not on this list.

Part of me thinks I shouldn't have Sasha cause I typically seem drawn to villagers with more natural coloring. But he is adorable on the other hand. If I did take him in, I could bring Freya back as my Snooty cause she was amazing. But then I'd drop Gala cause I don't want a bunch of pink villagers either. Jacques feels like a city boy, so sometimes I debate if he really fits into my island well enough. Molly is a old villager that I miss at times, but do I really want to bring her back or just experience someone new to really like? I'm fickle.

Here's some other villagers that might make it in my final 10 instead, though there's plenty more. Tiansheng keeps growing on me honestly, I think he might end up having to have a go. Also never was into Coco, but I kind of want her cause I love the gyroids and she can be their spokeswoman.
