Can you add more rooms to the school / shop?

Ive been wondering this since yesterday. Ive completed 10 different clients houses but still i dont think i have the option to add rooms to buildings yet

I haven't gone TOO far into the game yet, but far enough to know that you can indeed expand the school to add one more classroom and a hallway. It was a blast designing all three areas.

Yeah, I had to finish doing the hospital before I got this option. I'm guessing I'm going to have finish the second batch of buildings to get the second stories, but I have the second rooms. I can't wait to get the bigger spaces and second stories. Make sure you're doing the buildings Isabelle wants you to do and you're reading the handbook thing. These are you unlock those options.
