Dear future me,

When you wrote this, you were 24. Now, I imagine you're around 29. Time sure flies, doesn't it? Back in 2019, you endured a lot. You got engaged the year before, got kicked out of Stephen's house for refusing to remain silent about the issues anymore, moved in with him to your mom's house, got a bunch of tattoos and a septum piercing (!), started a successful small business from the ground up, and learned a lot about life. You felt really small in the vast scheme of things. It was really scary for you. I hope you don't still feel regret for not remaining quiet. It wasn't your fault, and it never was. It was the right thing to do, for you and for Stephen. I hope we are just as happy now as we were then; I know we are. He's the soulmate you always knew he was. Do you have children yet? Your own place? Did you ever get to make that curio cabinet you always thought about? Is he still working at Best Buy? How is your mom's cat doing, and your mom + nana? Nana fought hard in 2019. She went through a lot. If she's still around, don't forget to remind her that you love her. And your mom. Do you talk to Brian anymore? I know we thought we wouldn't ever speak to him when we were younger, but I guess time changes things a little. Or does it? I hope our resin business has really kicked off. We worked so hard to get to 200 sales. Christmas was crazy as far as sales goes. I hope it is flourishing beautifully and that we are still as in love with it as we were "back in the day". One last thing, future me: never give up. You (we) are more strong than we know. The anxiety we struggled with didn't get us, and it never will. We held the power inside of us all along. We just gotta have faith. No matter what, no matter how. Best of luck to us, Kaitlin.

I will not ask what you have accomplished! I am sure you, my future me, are doing great and everything turned out the way it should and I trust you and your decisions. Not everything is black and white - and even if your life choices were not on point it's okay. I guess you are now a teacher or did you change your profession? Either way it's okay you worked your ass of girl! University wasn't always easy but you did it and you can be proud! I guess you are now really sad if you havn't mad it xD. And if you havn't been to Korea or Japan yet you should go. NOW. It's your dream to visit Asia.

I hope you played some awesome videogames! I can't wait to play them myself you also played already new horizons. I hope it's as awesome as I think it is. What new books did you read? I hope you found something that is as awesome as your favorit book "Wuthring heights"?! I hope you are more active on this board than I am now. I could bit myself that I missed so many events over the past few years. I really want the glow wands! Maybe you grabed some? Would be neat.

Either way I hope this community is still as wholesome as now. I wish that everyone is doing great and were able to fullfill their dreams. Everyone learned so much, made new friends and expiericences. I wish you all the best future me and even if you are not happy I am sure you can overcome everything.

How life going? I assume you did buy a switch just for NH, how was that? Are you still obsessed? Regardless at the least I hope youre in university living up to our childhood extreme standards! Although I am interested in what you might be studying... are you continuing with art? or did the back up plan become plan A? (I hope not!) Things have been tough lately for me, but I hope that when Im you, I guess, that life is easier, that all your health problems have had an answer found and it is simpler to understand your part of the world. But if you still have tiktok i will do unspeakable things to you, just saying.
There are hailstones here as I type this, window wide open. However I hope we can swap that for snow; have you made it to Norway yet? are you going to go and live your Oslo dream? I think its important to say that even if youve done NONE of the things ive listed, Im still proud of you. You have made it so far and gone through so much just to be here reading this once again, and I think youve done amazingly. I love you, even if you dont love you. You see future me, lately ive been going through some, i guess you can say, transformative things. Im changing how I view the world, my friends,my family and myself... and Ive come to the mighty conclusion that we are the sun. we are important. we are loved and lovable. and we will go so far with those qualities alone. and i KNOW our brain, i know sometimes it doesnt make sense or feels bad, but I hope that when you read this, as someone a month off of 22, you feel better in who you are as a person, because we both know even if you dont believe it sometimes, you ARE a good person, and you can live your life however you want.
Maybe sometime, if you havent already, it might be worth going back to Bermuda on ACNL or Oak Bay in WW and remembering your ac roots. Specifically Oak Bay i think. As it stands for me no, AC has been in my life for nearly 13 of my almost 17 years, and I pray come five years later you still let it be the safe haven it always as been.
I should end this off, but that does beg the question, are you as good at waffling now as I am? I hope so.
Anyways, future Monday, I love you. Youre a good person, and I hope next five years brings us good things. Cant wait to meet you,

I hope you are free of worry and are living happily. Can you believe how far you've made it? I hope you can look back at this time and laugh about how foolish you were. I hope for you that you are living where you want and are doing what you want. I am sure that you still value your freedom just as much as I do now!

Is that crazy dog still living with you? I sure hope he is, cause as crazy as he is, we both love him. I honestly can't imagine a future where you wouldn't have him.

Were you able to travel wherever you wanted to go? Japan, Korea, Singapore? Boy I hope those trips were amazing. I hope you took plenty of photos for safekeeping.

But above all, I hope you do not forget about the people most important in your life. They are the rocks in your life afterall. I hope you'll always treasure them as I do now.

I wonder if you're still around TBT to even be reading this, but if you are, I hope this finds you well. Hopefully by this year your husband's bird nest business is flourishing, and your daughter is growing up into a fine young lady. I know I don't want to introduce her to smartphones and games until she's 12 (please be strict about this), but I won't get mad at you if you played New Horizons with her : )

More importantly, I hope your skills in digital arts have vastly improved by now, and that you have finally stopped procrastinating and started selling some damn cliparts! If you still haven't, now is the right time to move yo arse and get to it! Just do it! Stop being lazy and do it! You're not getting any younger gurrrl!

how are you? I hope you are doing fine. No, i hope you are doing amazing.
This year you picked up all the pieces you have left behind and finally started to strive for what you want. Its still hard and you are still making mistakes but I think thats fine. I hope we can see this through to have a stable and healthy life.
In 5 years a lot can happen and it's a bit scary to think about it but the only thing i really hope for is that you are happy, not always but in general. You are happier now at the end of the year than you were in the beginning so thats a good start right?
I hope New Horizions is/was amazing and you still enjoy it. If not, just go back to New Leaf, who cares. I also hope you enjoyed the 30 new sims add ons and sims 5 haha oh and also the 5 new pokemon games. I also hope you still have time for games lol Dont forget, you are allowed to make time for yourself.
Man i really hope the last 5 years were better than my last 5 years. But even if everything may look bad right now and if you lost a lot, you can still do it. You can recover from this and find your new path. I believe in you.

hello, at this point you've been on tbt for more than 10 years, you're over 30 now please for the love of god leave. i assume you're playing new horizons, remember to leave the house because you didn't seem to think that was a good idea when new leaf came out did you..

a lot can happen in 5 years, i hope you achieved everything you wanted to, i hope you found the determination, confidence and drive that you lacked 5 years ago and you follow your aspiration, your life wasn't over at 27 and it certainly won't be at 33!

i assume you still go on tbt because you're a loser but that's ok, you joined because you were looking for items and you found so much more than that. you have a group of people you cherish more than anything, keep them close, they'll motivate you, they'll look out for you, i hope you find many new friends through this forum in the last 5 years! i hope you meet your best friend again a million times in the next 5 years, don't let travel scare you, you did it once and u can do it again, i believe in you.

Dear Future Me,

I hope we're still taking life one day at a time as we always have. I hope we enjoy New Horizons and having a Switch (which I'm hoping we get as a Christmas gift in 2019). I hope we're still managing to function through our pain and that our leg hasn't gotten any worse.

Sigh... to be brutally honest, Future me, what I'm really hoping for doesn't have anything to do with us - you & me. I don't really care about what happens to us personally in the future but you already knew that. You know that what I'm really truly hoping for most of all is that all of our family members are healthy, happy & together 5 years from now. If that one wish comes true and we have all of our family with us then we can face whatever the future has in store for us.

I wonder if we'll still be on TBT to see this....

Are you still on TBT every now and then? Or perhaps just like I am now, you come in and check the new posts pretty much daily? I know, it's a fun place to unwind after a busy and stressful day.

I'm not sure where you are now in life, but I think I'll just offer you a bit of random advice just in case you've forgotten this when you read this. Please don't sweat the small stuff in life. If you still are.. Really, stop! I also hope you've finally made a habit of going running or working out, if you haven't please finally make those plans. And have you been traveling as much as I have? You really should, it keeps your heart & mind open. And I'm pretty sure you'll still be doing this, but please don't forget to take off your makeup every night before going to bed.. And keep on using that SPF daily. You'll thank me in a year or 30.
