Lol yep. Unless they think "exclusive" means showing everything from what we know already, sure.
Not really sure why they are calling it an exclusive scoop if they're using images revealed from months ago.

CoroCoro is the clickbait magazine. They ALWAYS say they have 'exclusive scoops' and just rehash known information.
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't reveal anything super big because they want us to discover it on our own. But, it should be pretty good practice to tell us how online play will work. Or at least it should be. Especially now that we have to pay for Nintendo Online.
I wasn't around for the New Leaf launch. Did that touch on that at all before the game came out or not?

Well hey, we were all used to the Pokemon CoroCoro and their new info they released every month when they had a new game coming out that year (Except Gen 8 somehow) that we were used to getting new info from CoroCoro.
Not to mention that when New Leaf was coming out, we had two issues of CoroCoro with the first one revealing Hans and Tucker, with the second one revealing loads of new villagers and actual new info.
So yeah, with the old CoroCoro issues of New Leaf "actually" revealing new info compared to this CoroCoro issue with New Horizons, definitely feels offending to the fans.

Disappointed, but not surprised. CoroCoro trolled in the past often by saying they have "exclusive" news and then it was just the same stuff people already knew.
I do think there will be a Direct or something like this at some point, I just can't imagine that Nintendo will stay silent about NH till it's release.

If I'm honest I've never seen a Coro magazine before, and a lot of other people were hyped about this scoop too, so it's very disappointing. But then I know for next time if they do this again.
Hopefully the direct will come in the following weeks. NL had a direct like 38 days before release for Japan, and we're at 35 days to go now, so it's looking more and more likely.

There are two additional pages, but they only include renders of villagers that have already been revealed by Nintendo themselves, and more old screen captures.

Corocoro has been incredibly irrelevant ever since the internet picked up the pace. The days were we would get all the important stuff before it showed up on the internet are long gone

Corocoro nowadays operates on the "exclusive" thing in the hopes that absolutely nothing leaks out into the internet beforehand.
Given the nature of the internet, however, by the time the magazine reaches stores, all the information they have inside becomes null as we all know about it. I'm pretty sure they were expecting that no one would know about the handful of villagers they showed on the magazine pages, then Nintendo themselves released the renders into the world, but you can't just reprint the magazine or stop it as it would throw the whole schedule outta the window.
Same thing used to happen with pokemon, they'll actually get exclusive info, but either the information leaked beforehand, or pokemon themselves released trailers with a whole bunch of pokemon, so when the magazine released, it was the same information as the trailers, just like X days late.
So really, corocoro is just a product of a bygone age were dedicated magazines where the thing to be on the lookout if you wanted the latest new info on whatever thing you were interested in. Nowadays it's just the "oh yeah corocoro, right, the thing that used to get us all the pokeman info" magazine

It isn't, because it is CoroCoro and they always lie about exclusive things. That's why I said my expectations were low earlier in the thread, because I know how they work from experience with Pokemon.
that sucks. guess i know better now lmao - i should’ve known better though since 9/10 times ‘exclusive scoops’ aren’t all that exclusive regardless of the magazine
