Cosy Photo Challenge [Closed Til Next Time!]

I believe this meets all the requirements, will someone please let me know if it doesn’t? This photo was taken from outside the fort entrence.

here’s my situation: I would love to hide from my responsibilities in my blanket fort, but I have some stuff to do in preparation for my online classes! Still, it’ll be much more fun to prepare from inside a cozy fort. Hopefully I'll get to play some NH when I finish up!

Here’s my attempt!! I hope this is what you meant o:

Bouldering pad, couch cushions, and chairs holding the blanket up. One blanket to cover the ground and another blanket (on sylveon) for use! 2 pillows seen in the back plus 3 plushies. Jinbe-san (the whale) and periwinkle (the unicorn) are also technically pillows 😉 Paper lantern for light, jalapeño chips for snacks, and of course need the switch!

Just to make sure, can I use the space in the bottom bunk bed to make a fort? I plan on hanging a sheet from the underside of the top bed to make it look like a fort using the space in the bottom bed, I hope that counts.

edit: here's a picture of my bunk bed! Just wanted to know whether I could use this area as a sort of "skeleton" for the fort.

Sure you can use your bunk bed.

Building off of skarmoury's question I'm a bit confused if we need to use the required materials to make the structure of the fort. Are the pillows for building the space or do they just go inside? I guess I need clarification on what constitutes a blanket fort haha.

I know you said chairs can be used for it, but is throwing the blankets over a table not enough?

The four items are just required to be incorporated into the fort somehow. You can use pillows for building or just leave them inside to make your space cozier. Basically any example when googling blanket fort is acceptable!

Yes, you can use a table to build your fort.

I will change the wording for the photo bit:
  • Two photos will be accepted for this prompt.
    • Required: Full outer view of the fort
    • Optional: Close up of inside the fort
I'll accept entries made before this post as is without an extra photo of the full fort. Hope this new instruction makes more sense, but if not let me know!

Cannot even remember the last time I made one of these!
For the inner photo I decided to have my doodle bear -- they're just getting ready to tell some ghost stories. 🐻
(It's about as old as me, so I bet it has plenty !)

💜 Pillows; 5 total -- 2 couch ones inside for structure, 3 inside for comfort.
💙 Blankets; 4 total -- 2 outside for structure, 2 inside for comfort.
⭐ I can fit inside it just fine!

I'll admit it, after I finish studying I may come back and curl up here (I tested and I fit heheh, it's so comfy and cosy. With my kindle, switch and iPad, there's not much else I need to spend a couple hours relaxing! Managed to make it inside my room so I'm not judged by my family lol

I used my bed, 2 chairs, a carpet, 2 pillows, 1 blanket for the left wall and 1 comforter for the ceiling.

This shows enough of the structure? I have another one if not

I'm sorry, I forgot to take the pictures with my nametag. I hope this is ok!

Here's mine! I made it inside my room. The lights are brighter in person and I love having them on whenever I'm relaxing or studying. I took one picture in the dark and one with the lights on so I hope that's okay!

My easel was handy for this...the patterned & green pillows aren't offering support, so they can be moved/sat on.

edit: I forgot to include my nametag!! Hopefully this is sufficient x_x

Here's my fort! The blanket is held up by my desk, my bed headboard, and some plastic crates. I made it in a corner of my bedroom. Inside, I have my laptop to watch movies and my iPad to do some drawing. (✿´‿`)

I used a very tall coat rack and a laundry bar to drape my blankets over for the tent structure and I have three blankets, a body pillow, and two other pillows for curling up cozy with ... I placed a small stand for my name tag and a twinkle light lantern and now I’m sleepy 💤 😴

I had wanted to do this in the living room, but my cats kept pulling the blankets down and spooking themselves so I had to move upstairs. My bedroom is not practical for doing something like this, but I gave it a shot! I could've tried to throw another blanket over the front, but I blocked myself off from the cupboard I keep the sheets in - given that I am not eligible for tickets, it would've been far too much effort to tear it down and rebuild.

Fort Construction
I opened the doors of my wardrobe and draped a sheet over the inside to conceal the contents. The bottom of it is tucked it a drawer. My duvet is the constellation sheet and makes up the top and back of the fort. It is supported by the wardrobe doors and a standing mirror. Part of that is tucked into another drawer. Finally a third blanket (the brown one) makes up the floor and walls - tucked into several drawers. There are four pillows involved: two are structural (match the duvet cover), the champagne-coloured one is for comfort, and the alien cushion is decorative. Bast and Anubis guard the entrance (they are actually under the blanket, although the lighting makes it look like they're not - it's the wardrobe door that is casting the shadow not the sheet!).

Had to pull the top blanket back a little for this because oh my god was it hot in there.

My tent was made outside using our porch swing. We had just got a new refrigerator and the drawers for the old one were used for the one side. The porch swing has a 2 inch lip and the side of the drawers fit perfectly on that lip. From the outside I secured them with string to the base of swing. I used my two blankets as the tent itself. I also used a carton and a few two liters of pop to hold the one side down. I placed my two pillows, switch and carrying case, KK and cat plushie, animal crossing horizon guidebook and flashlight inside. I am only 5 foot tall and could sit up or lay down inside the tent. I was surprised how cool inside it was (it was really hot today) and spent sometime just chilling.

I made a big mistake ;~; I was so focused on trying to get the fort to fit in the picture (i was dumb and built it somewhere cramped) that I forgot to include my name card 😭 I didn't realize until I'd already torn it down.... I took a picture of the name card and some of the items, but I don't know if that's enough to count 😥

Anyways, I made it out of three chairs, a mini fridge, and a sheet. Inside are two pillows, two cushions, a blanket to cover the floor, and of course, Snorlax!

I never got to build a fort as a child, so this was fun. I used three chairs in a triangle formation as the foundation. Each of the 3 chairs has a different blanket draped over the back. Then, a 4th blanket was spread out on the floor underneath. (I borrowed that one from my dog so he thought the fort was for him.) 😋

There are three pillows laid out against the back of the fort to comfortably rest against. Two are dark green so they kind of blend in.

I covered the entire thing with a sheet for privacy. I have it pulled up in the front to display, but the sheet can be dropped for complete seclusion. Since it was so dark in there, I added a flashlight and brought my book. It seems like a nice, peaceful place to read.

I swear this was super easy to do back when I was like, 9 years old... sucks being old i guess? this one was really difficult for me :( had to use some winter covers + pillows to get the necessary height.

- Winter covers + one pillow to get left-side height
- Chair + one pillow to get right-side height
