Cosy Photo Challenge [Closed Til Next Time!]

Here's my cozy spot! We have a tiny balcony that I have filled with lots of flowers and herbs, which I use to cook. I like to sit with coffee or tea and read a good book. Especially now that I have to stay indoors so often, this is a safe way for me to feel the breeze, listen to the birds or the crickets in the evening, and catch the scent of fresh rosemary or basil (which I have growing.) It's a very relaxing place for me. The other night, inspired by the fireworks event in Animal Crossing, I blew bubbles off the balcony as the sun set.

This is my comfy place because I love being on the computer while looking outside and when the weather is nice having the windows open to get some fresh air. I also find it comforting to look at my Sonic collection on the left that took me years and years of collecting from childhood toys which are more near the bottom and newer ones near the top. (Sorry for the poor lighting... my room needs better lamps.)

This is my "cosy" place, the little space at home where I installed my office to be able to work since the lockdown due to the quarantine. But aside from my job, I'm a skyscape photographer and this is the only way I can look at the sky most of the time. Sometimes I feel down because I can't go out and take some photos but at least I can see the sky and clouds passing by 🌤

My cosy spot isn't necessarily that cosy, but it's my quiet spot. Having just recently moved to a new house, I haven't set up a proper place for myself yet. I like coming into my little corner though, as it's where I can better concentrate on whatever I'm reading or working on without so much noise clutter. It just happens to be a bit messy at the moment. >>;

this chair is very roomy which is perfect for me to snuggle up with my dog and draw after a hard day of work! the duck light is a new addition to the space, and it fits in perfectly (it may be the best purchase i have ever made)!

here's my rest and relaxation area I use for reading, drawing, etc. I like it, because it's kinda in a corner area away from distractions lol. though admittedly this might be more like the #2 cosy area for me, but rearrangements means my bedroom (possible #1 cosy area, kinda depends on my mood and what I want to get out of the area atm) is an absolute chaotic mess right now that I'm not comfortable with showing off. so hopefully you can forgive me for using what may just be the runner up

My favorite cozy space. I'll turn off my phone, and know I won't be bothered. Draw a nice warm bath with Epsom salt and a bath bomb. Put on a face mask, read a book, and enjoy a couple White Claws. The perfect place to light some candles and decompress after a long stressful work week. A place where I can focus on myself, think about my goals, find ways to improve my happiness, and just breathe ❤

My cozy place would definitely have to be my bed. I could lie here for hours watching my favorite shows, reading a book, doing simple workouts or yoga, or chatting with my friends and family.

This is my favorite cosy space because it’s where I’m most comfortable and I can always pick up a book to reread when I have nothing else to do. Reading and being cozy at the same time is one of my favorite things in life, so it should be no surprise that I chose this place to be my favorite cosy space. I can also rearrange my pillows and blankets to be even cozier!

My favorite cozy spot is in my yard within my garden. I love sitting under the vines with vegetables hanging above me as it feels like i'm in another world away from from the city. I only wish you could have seen the numerous long gourds so long that they touch the ground that we’ve since harvested. It tends to draw birds that I don't typically see while walking outside such as hummingbirds, blue jays, cardinals, hawks, monk parakeets and even a cockatiel which my dad caught and we adopted. It's also perfect as it provides shade from the sun. Sitting there with fireflies flying around is just a magical experience. Its that cozy spot at home that seems anywhere but home.

My favorite cosy spot is my mattress, I could lie there for hours and it's my go-to spot for when I do anything, such as watching movies, reading books, or simply just lying there and staring at the wall

my favorite cozy spot is my balcony ! one of the number one reasons my roomate and i got this apartment is actually because of this very large balcony ! the sunrise here is absolutely unreal - every single night without fail and i get so much peace and comfort from just being out here with my plants (to the left), writing, listening to music, sharing the space with friends etc. its a place i can do to just settle down and be IN THE MOMENT, which is absolutely invaluable to me. also, when it rains, its magical to hear the rain patter on the roof (we're on the third floor) :")

Sorry didn't get a chance to lock the thread earlier, but submissions are now closed! Tickets were distributed earlier for rounds 3, 4, and 5. Please check your transactions and post a thread in the CTS board if you're missing anything. Thanks, and see you all tomorrow for the final challenge!

Please review your challenge #6 post and see whether it has been accepted. If not, then you likely did not meet the following requirement
  • Include a short passage on why this is your loved cosy space.

You may PM me a new passage before the end of challenge #7's deadline!

I do have staff favorites picked for this week, but I'm not home right now! It will be posted later tonight. :giggle:

Challenge #7
latest

Begins: September 6 at 7 PM FT
Deadline: September 9 at 6:59 PM FT

Waking up to a hearty breakfast and then sadly packing our things to go home, we check outside to see a bright and beautiful morning! The joyous sleepover ends with a wave from the floating clouds. Hey, doesn't it remind you of something? Send us a photo of a cloud you took that looks like... that thing!

Requirements:
  • The cloud must be recognizable, and can be anything. A number, an animal, a specific person's face, etc, except basic shapes (circle, square, rhombus, etc) or things that clouds look like anyway (cotton candy).
  • Caption your photo with what the cloud is supposed to be.
  • If it's difficult to visualize, you'll need to provide a version with an outline.

FAQ

1. Does the cloud have to be shaped like a rabbit?
No.

2. Do we need our name card for the cloud prompt?
Yes.

3. What if I took a picture of the cloud without the name card, and when I returned the cloud lost its shape?
If the name card is taken in the exact same place and around the same time it should be fine. If you're uncertain you can PM me the images to confirm.

4. What if where I live there are no clouds at all due to the wildfires and smoke?

An alternative prompt is available for these cases! Those using the alternate prompt are not eligible for staff favorite since the criteria is slightly different.

A cluster of branches, leaves, bushes, or an entire tree. Send us a photo of that plant that looks like... that thing!

Requirements:
  • Provide proof of your weather/environmental conditions by taking one sky photo with your name card.
  • The plant (tree, bush, leaves, or branches) must be recognizable, and can be anything except basic shapes (circle, square, rhombus, etc), things that those plants look like anyway, or other vague items (e.g. a bush looks like a cloud).
  • Do not use flowers.
  • Caption your photo with what the plant is supposed to be.
  • If it's difficult to visualize, you'll need to provide a version with an outline.
