I eventually manage to drift off to sleep, after hearing the others outside talking about getting alcohol out. Unlike usual, I don't dream about anything, everything is just blank.
I finish my drink and set it down.
"Going to sleep." I say, getting up. "Don't forget to put out the fire when you're coming in." I shoot a glare at James, thinking he would most likely be the one to leave it going.
"Whatever." I chuckle and take another shot anyway.
"Uh, my face still hurts from earlier." I say and touch my face with one hand. Oh yeah, Aions' advice from earlier."I'm... Glad that you're okay now." I mutter, and take ahold of her free hand.
As I enter the tent, I notice James talking quite soothingly to Alex. I laugh silently, and open the tent entrance just enough so I can spy without them noticing.
I look away and giggle. "Why are you being so serious?" "Well, you see..." I run a hand through my blue hair and turn her head to face me. "I know today was all fun and games. And well, I can act like a bit of an idiot at times. But..." I mumble off.
"But?"
"Alex... I love you." I say, looking at her.
I blush and look away. "You, do?" "I know, I'm an idiot and always start fights. But, I really do love you."
I can't look James in the eyes so I look at the fire. "Well..." Playing with my hair, I build up the courage to look at him. "...I think I love you too..." I smile at her, pulling her into a kiss.
I get up and climb into the tent, as soon as I hit the sheets of my sleeping bag, my face blushes bright red. Why did that just happen? I stay out drinking shots for several hours, but instead of getting in the tent, I forget about the fire and fall dead asleep on the grass.
I wake up earlier than the others. I see James passed out, and the fire still going. Thank Helix it didn't spread... I'm going to kill James when he wakes up. I put my palm on my forehead, getting another headache. I take off my shirt, and sunbathe on a rock.
