Good evening, everyone. Quite a late post for me today as I spent most of the morning and afternoon travelling. I was flattered that it appeared my friends had noticed my absence, too.

Anyhow, just prior to that I had changed my outfit, prepped myself for the day, and emerged into the eventide that had already taken over the sky. I must say this is my favorite color gradient in the game; The deep purples and blues with a few stars sprinkled in are just gorgeous.
I spotted Whitney right by my front door, and she asked me to find a crucian carp for her. I agreed, since they are quite common. Knowing my usual habits, I'll probably end up doing something else and forget all about it.
After that, I set off on my walk and made sure to pay extra attention to the ground since dig-spots would be harder to see in the dark. As a result, I ended up missing one, but that's okay. I found Deirdre about halfway through, and she told me that she, somehow, smelled my amethyst on me. She offered me 2,400 bells for it, which I figured would be the same, if not more than, Reese would pay me so I agreed to sell it to her.
Another thing I noticed on patrol: I had a legitimate flower thief yesterday. Particularly a pansy thief, as I was missing three purple ones and a white. While I had my gate open last evening to make some trades, a random visitor showed up whom I welcomed and allowed to explore my town on their own. Needless to say, I blame them. Those random visitors are positively irritating at times, so I made sure to delete all of the friend cards I had collected over time that I didn't need anymore, including my suspect. Fortunately I shouldn't have a hard time breeding any replacements.
None of my other friends had much to say, as it seemed they were all winding down for the night. I don't suppose I missed much activity today, or I'm positive Buck would have filled me in. Fang, however, did tell me that Redd was set up in the plaza today. So after I had my fossils appraised (was awfully nice not having to wait the few seconds for Blathers to wake up ) and my inventory sold, I ran over to check out the foxy curator's stock. All of the pieces looked familiar to me, so I decided on a Valiant Statue which I figured had the least probability of already being in my museum. We'll get the verdict tomorrow.
Then I went to do my routine shopping, and didn't find much of interest besides a Grapefruit Table, Blue Lace-Up Dress, and Football Helmet for my catalog. Then I went to help Brewster out for the night. Becky and Buck were my first two customers, and served them both The Regular. However I accidentally slipped up and gave buck a Kilimanjaro, which I rationalized was okay since some variety can be good for you every now and again. Next was Gaston, who ordered a coffee with lots of milk. I thought I heard his mustache tell me it wanted a Kilimanjaro, but apparently I misheard it. Last was Isabelle, and I knew I had served her enough to have narrowed down her preferences but, being too lazy to check my records, I decided to randomize her coffee today which didn't please her entirely, but she took without grumbling.
Now last night I executed some town planning I had cooking in my mind for a few days. I transplanted my flowers to the beach and ordered the flower arch by Mitzi's to be demolished.

I wasn't initially sure how good the flowers would fit down on the beach, but I'm rather pleased with the result. Easy access to them, and I won't have to worry about anything happening to ruin them.
And with the removal of them, I have a whole section here I can use to plant a forest.

I intend to mix regular saplings with cedars, and perhaps try to farm some special stumps. Then I may decorate the area with a couple of particular Wonderland-y PWPs that I have in mind.
That's all I have to say for a short day. I'll try to have a better post tomorrow. I hope everyone has a good night.
