Good afternoon from Storrs. Today was just your average day. I put on a simple outfit and set out to begin the day. Whitney was wandering about outside and she asked to visit my house. Since we were right by the door, I agreed and let her in. I gave her the grand tour, and she mentioned how much she likes chairs, but Chic Wolf Monthly says that "anything on four legs is a step backwards in design." That was rather presumptuous, I thought, seeing as wolves themselves walk on four feet. But what would any wolf in this game know about that. Upstairs, she noticed that my Princess Sofa seats two, but there's only one of me.

...Buck, what have you been telling everyone?! Or better yet, how does Whitney even know that?
Anyway, after that visit was over, I proceeded on with my outdoor activities. I checked my mailbox first, which only contained one letter from Mitzi. She said that when she grows up, she wants to be a woman that can express herself clearly so writing letters is good practice. I admire her efforts.
I took off in my usual direction to start patrolling today. I check my flowers above the plaza and lo and behold, a black cosmos!!

I never thought I'd get one! Not only had I never grown one in my town before, I'd never seen any in all of the dream towns I'd visited, either. I just assumed they were really rare, and I don't particularly fancy cosmos, so I never bothered too much to get any. But they're actually really pretty! I hope I can start breeding more now.
I continued on up and found Mitzi in her home. I popped in on her and she said that she had a really bad craving for some fruit. Since I was still close to home, I ran on down to grab her a perfect pear from my drawers. I returned to her house and gave it to her, and she gave me a Raven Pole in return.
Just about in his usual spot behind his house, Wart Jr. ran over to me again. He told me he felt like he needed a new catchphrase, even though he just told me that yesterday morning and I assured him that his is fine. Since he was so persistent, I told him to start saying 'croak' which he was happy to hear, though it isn't nearly as cool as 'fribbit.'
Right by Wart Jr. was Chief, who told me that he was thinking about replacing his Blue Bench. Alright. I'd always thought that thing looked rather off in his house. I made a note to myself to remember him when I checked T&T for the day. I was already thinking that a Robo something might look best, and was hoping that something like that would be for sale today.
Later on, I found Buck out by his house and Chief's. He told me that he wasn't sure that I was fully aware of "everything that makes him tick." Choosing to ignore any underlying implications, I eagerly agreed to paying him a visit later, even though we had to set a time for 12:30. I really wanted to see what he'd done with the Foosball Table from his birthday and the Eight Ball Tee I mailed him just the other day.
With that, I made it through the first half of my walk. On the bridge by her house, Felicity came running over to me. She told me that she'd heard everyone calling me Bethers and wanted in on it, too. I agreed, since it's actually kind of grown on me.
Just below, Deirdre was home so I stopped in to see how she was doing. I found her standing right in the middle of her room, asleep. They're so cute when they do that.

After I'd politely woken her up, she told me that the other day Buck had asked her, "You used to be into softball, right?" She seemed rather disheartened by this, wondering how anyone could not know that she's famous for racquetball. That's new information to me, Deirdre.
At the tail end of my walk, I fell in a pitfall by Fang's house. Who buries these, anyway? And why have they been targeting my friends' houses lately? I wouldn't have even found this one at all if I hadn't decided to walk in between the bush and the orange tree just beside his house. Better me than Fang, I suppose.
With that, my patrol was done and I could head up to Main Street. I had my fossils checked out by Blathers, and since I still had lots of room in my pockets left over, decided to go ahead and do my shopping while I was here. Again, I bought a couple of new stationeries for my catalog, along with a U-R-Here shirt from the Abel Sisters. Timmy and Tommy weren't selling anything that I thought would look nice in Chief's room, so I ordered a Robo Dresser before I bought a sapling from Leif and saw myself out.
I planted the sapling in the now open field by Mitzi's, to contribute to my soon-to-be forest. Then I deposited my newly grown hybrids down on the beach and sold the rest of my inventory. I still had quite a bit of time left before I had to meet Buck at his house, so I decided to kill some time on the island.
Still no hibiscus starts for sale today, but I did buy a Blue Aloha Tee for my catalog. I talked to Leilani to see what tours there were today, and I was happy to see the Elite Gardening Tour on the list. After the Elite Ore Tour, the gardening tours are probably my favorite. I opted for it, and got ready. For some reason, I rushed through the exact screen where Tortimer told me what flowers to collect, and then he wouldn't tell me after time had started. Feeling stupid, I figured I would use the six minutes to my advantage and gather some flowers that I could use at home. So I spent the rest of the time picking all of the red and white roses I could find, with a few white cosmos here and there. After time was up and Tortimer told me I had failed, I decided to go on that tour again to redeem myself. This time, I made sure to pay extra attention to the instructions. I gathered all of the white violets in the area and scored a silver award and 7 medals.
I'd have taken another tour, but I wasn't sure I had enough time to do so before I had to be back at Buck's. I deposited my flowers in the souvenir box and set sail back to town. By now I only had about four minutes to kill, so I planted as many of the flowers I brought back as I could. Then it was 12:29, and Buck was already home, so I went ahead and arrived one minute early.
I was very happy to see that both the Foosball Table and Eight Ball Tee were displayed proudly in his room.

Project Get-Everyone-to-Have-Their-Original-Clothing is a go! Since it was that easy with Buck, I should have no problems getting everyone to display theirs. Eventually I got Buck to tell me that I could buy anything in his room that I liked. I asked about the Box Corner Sofa that was in between his foosball table and shirt, and he gladly sold it to me. I'd like to get his Modern Cabinet and Alpine Lamp out eventually, and maybe his Cow Skull. I feel like that was probably a distant relative of his at one time.
Having spent several minutes, I saw myself out and told Buck that his house is awesome. Then I headed on over to the Roost. Deirdre came in first today, and I couldn't recall ever having served her before. So I guessed at The Regular, since it's so popular. She said that wasn't anything of what she wanted, and I actually felt a little bad since she seemed so disturbed. Whitney and Mitzi were next, and I know that they like The Regular, so I made two more and served them. Last was Digby, who'd never been in while I've been working before. I guessed a mocha for him as well, with no milk and one sugar. He told me that wasn't what he likes, and that he prefers Blue Mountain coffee.
I ended up feeling like laying down the last of my Wonderland path last night, so I didn't have to do it today. I don't like it very much around anything besides the Red Queen's village, so I will definitely be switching it out for the nice little checkered grass pattern I have, but still have to create corners for.

Here's a bit of it going over to Whitney's house and mine. I like it, all except it can be a bit awkward around corners as I don't have the plain, center piece with no border. And it doesn't mesh well at all with the Wonderland tiles I have around my house and in the plaza. But it'll do for now. I also put a husky tile by each of my wolves' houses, just because.
I guess I can spend the rest of the day working on those designs and hopefully I can have the new path down by tomorrow.
