Storrs lives to see another day! I started playing later in the evening after it had already begun to get dark, so I changed into something simple and noticed that I'd allowed my closet to start getting out of order again. I should probably get to organizing that soon. :p After I was finished changing, there was a knock on the door. It was Fang, and we spent a little time together before I started my day.

He gave me a Low Screen for my hospitality and saw himself out.
The Low Screen was actually pretty interesting. I'd never seen one before and felt like there could be some use for it...but couldn't think of any immediately and later sold it off.

Since I had some things in my pockets already, I started my patrol in reverse again today and swung by Re-Tail before I made it too far. While I was there I thought I would clean up a bit of the items that had been in there forever, since I didn't have any villager in mind I wanted them to be bought by.

After that, I found Chief wandering close to home on the Brick Bridge. Ironically, he seemed to be enjoying several of the PWPs he originally suggested today. He asked me to get him a fruit for his "wicked heartburn", so I ran to grab a mango lying on the ground that was in sight of where we were standing. He gobbled it down and thanked me with a Sno-Cone Tee. I'd just gotten one of those from Deirdre yesterday...

While scouting out the hybrid breeding field, I noticed Chester was home. I knew he had to have been feeling better today, so I stopped in to check on him. He was better indeed, and gave me a Cabin Bookcase for taking such good care of him.

Carrying on, I found Deirdre outside of her house and turned around so as not to sneak up behind her. She might ping today, and a ping is one step closer to a town improvement suggestion... I was right, as Deirdre saw me come around the corner of her house and came running over. And what did she want? SHE WAS FINALLY GOING TO SUGGEST A PROJECT.

...Exactly neither of the projects I needed. -.-
*sigh* Oh well, at least we're making progress. And an idea just popped into my mind for a potential future use for a Log Bench. I may look into it after all.

I talked to Deirdre again and she wanted to play hide-and-seek. Always down for a game with my pals, I agreed to this and met her in the plaza where she had gathered with Chief and Colton. I figured I would just continue on with my patrol since ten minutes is more than enough time to scour the rest of town and find my friends.

I found Colton first, hiding behind Whitney's house. Then I made it back to where Deirdre and I started without finding anyone else. I saw Greta up on the cobblestone bridge and decided to talk to her and see how she was feeling about her new town. Like Chester, she doesn't say much of anything interesting. But she did have her eye on my Sno-Cone Tee which I let her buy from me.

Next I searched the Zen Park and found Chief hiding behind the Zen Bell, which was also a project that came about all thanks to him. I gotta say, for PWPs I have actually put into effect, Chief has suggested the most useful ones. After finding him, I figured I'd run straight down to the beach to find Deirdre, since normally at least one player hides down there behind the palm trees. But that was to no avail, so I went back up and easily found Deirdre hiding behind the Instrument Shelter.

Tip: Next time, pick an object that's TALLER than YOU.

My reward for winning was a Playroom Rug, and I was glad to see that my buddies had as much fun as I did.

Resuming my patrol, I came across Buck sitting on the bench outside of the Train Station.

I took a moment to sit down with him but quickly went on my way before it got too impossibly dark to see anything buried underground.

Across the river and down into the forest, I spotted my first lightning bug of the season and reflected on the glories of summer. I didn't have a reason to catch it, so I let it flicker on. The rest of the day went typically; I had my fossils assessed by Blathers, sold all of my findings to Reese, and went up to Main Street to check out the shops.

On the way, Buck told me he wanted a Saw Shark which I told him was impossible as I wasn't planning on taking a trip to the island this evening. At T&T Emporium, I thought I would go ahead and buy some of Gracie's summer clothing line. I think I will keep the Butterfly Dress for myself, though. It should look nice with the Floppy Hat I bought a few days back; We'll see about that tomorrow.

Back to town, Chief came running over and asked if he could by the Wrap Shirt I just bought at the Abel Sisters' for my catalog. I accepted the 92 Bells and he changed into it right away.

Though not nearly as perfect as his Dapper Shirt was, I think it looks pretty decent on him. Kind of hard to tell in the dusk lighting though; But at least he isn't twinning with Chester anymore. Speaking of the Dapper Shirt, the one that Buck got from Chester he set out in his room. In place of his Eight-Ball Tee, no less. *grumble* I'll have to get that shirt back to him eventually.

And that's all for my evening tonight! Hopefully we have another interesting day tomorrow here in Storrs so I'll have lots of good stuff to report. :)

I'm glad that Chester is feeling better! I love helping sick villagers, especially because it gives you a good chance of getting their picture!

I'm sorry you didn't get the public works project you wanted. I think the log bench is cute and I hope you find use for it (if you really want it in your town). c: Good luck getting those projects suggested though!

Chester is healed at last! It's nice to know that you got a reward for your good deed.

I'm hoping the Dierdre will suggest the PWP soon. The log bench is pretty cute, though, and I've been wanting one, but I don't have any uchi villagers. D:

It's so adorable when villagers sit down on a bench! I love that screenshot of Buck.

Edit: Oh, wait, never mind. I forgot I had Shari. Well, hopefully she'll suggest the PWP soon. :p
