Greetings everyone, I have returned from my travels. I didn't play much while I was gone, but several noteworthy things happened nevertheless. As such, I have some very good news to report from Storrs, so let's get into it!
Day 484
Nothing significant happened on Tuesday, but I assure you that I played that evening. ^^
Day 485
On Wednesday, I unearthed two time capsules. In the same day! That was certainly a first. One belonged to Colton and the other to Buck, and I didn't particularly recall burying both of them on the same day. Deirdre wanted to move, but I convinced her to stay. Waiting all this time for her to suggest certain PWPs, I'm actually getting quite attached to my ditsy little deer. Fang wanted something new for his house, and I figured I would give him the Classic Desk I had been saving for Colton. Fang has a collection of classic items already, so it actually fits his house much better.
Day 486
Now it was the next day when all the great stuff happened. I found a Sloppy Lamp up for sale at Re-Tail and bought it for my catalog, but most significantly, I found Colton at home and he informed me of something that made my day entirely.
(Sorry for the phone pics, SD card was in my camera at the time)

YES, folks your eyes do not deceive you. The wretched mouse menace would finally be leaving our town once and for all! Before getting my hopes up any higher, I thought I would track her down and hear the news from the mouse herself. On my way to meet her, I passed by Melba and she pinged. She asked me to help her come up with a new catchphrase and I was all too happy to oblige, since she had unfortunately taken up Colton's catchphrase of "baby." I suggested that she say "mate," and that was perfect. Since that practically eliminated any chance there was of Greta pinging for a move, I thought I would try the diving trick and grabbed my wet suit from home. I went for a short swim, and even caught a horseshoe crab for the first time!

After that, I went back up to find Greta and she ran up to me!

[inwardly rejoicing]
I urged her to go and fortunately, she did not turn back. One step closer to a perfect town! I just wonder how Chief will feel about this development... So far he hasn't said anything about it.
Day 487
Yesterday, I talked to Buck and he said there was one person in town he really takes his hat off to, besides me of course. Never having heard this from him before, not only was I flattered, but I was curious as to who Buck really admires so much. I was even happier when he said it was Chief.

So sweet. :') They have to be the two closest friends in town, after all. They've lived right beside each other ever since I moved in.
Day 488
Lastly, speaking of Buck, he wanted me to come over for a visit today at eleven o'clock. I made it to his house right after the clock announced the hour and got him to sell me the Comfy Sweater he had apparently put out in his room since the last time I'd been there.

He must have loved it a lot to buy another one for his house after he'd already put one on... Anyway, I felt it needed to go.
And that's all for what's gone down since I've been gone, and now I should finally be able to continue blogging daily again. Until next time!
