I was so excited and waited (not very ) patiently for winter. I absolutely love the snow and how it sparkles. It is so cute how you can even have frozen breath as it’s cold I adore all the cosy outfits. The coats and boots are the cutest.
Sadly I am rubbish at making snowboys (bribery works out well for that though ) Definitely my favourite season as it has all the good points of winter without the negative (de-icing car, driving and sliding and cold)
I disliked it initially, since it didn't go well with some of the things already on my island. Colourful flowers, for example, look weird against the white background. But after changing the colour palette for some paths and changing a few areas that I wanted to change anyway, I've got to say that I warmed up to it (ha) pretty fast. Certainly more interesting than the endless sea of green that is summer!
I love the furniture and the snow on top of some fences & bushes but I recently started to get annoyed by the snow on the grass, haha. I'm in the middle of flattening my island and redesigning areas but with the white underground and the foggy/gray looking outside it's so hard to decide on colors and if something looks right, it all looks very "meh" now in this colourscheme
I absolutely love the look of the snow, especially covering the trees and the bushes, and the sound of walking on the snow? incredible. I do kind of miss the green summer grass, especially when I look back on how vibrant some of my pics from back then are, but I will definitely be making the most of this snow while it lasts! especially since I doubt I'll be seeing much irl
I've never seen snow irl, so it's cool to be able to experience actual seasons in general through the game and the version of winter in this game is very pretty, but the white covering everything is starting to get a little old for me. Not gonna TT for it, but I'm ready to see grass again.
Yes I love it!
But as with every season I love it when it rolls around and stuff starts changing, but at some point I'm ready for the next one. I've reached that point about now in NH, i just want to wear my sunglasses and short-sleeved dresses again!
I loved it in New Leaf, but in New Horizons and Pocket Camp I got bored of it after a week or so.
The snow is so white is hurts my eyes during the day, and the whole island concept doesn't really go well with a snowy land, lmo.
I am kind of indifferent. I hate it in real life, but I don't mind it in the game. I definitely prefer the other seasons though, I am partial to green grass lol
Also I like all the lighter clothing in the game best. I finally have a decent winter wardrobe, but I can't wait to wear short sleeves again. I know it is only a game and I could dress my character out of season, but when I see even the animals in short sleeves I feel cold!
I went on hiatus after the thanksgiving event and played again mid December and was honestly so excited for how my island looked and felt in winter!
I love the snow on everything, I love the crunchy sounds it makes, I love the gentle icy-blue-green the trees and bushes turn, I love how the Lily of the Valleys look like snowdrops, it's all so soft and pretty and ahhhh!
Also getting to see villagers wrapped up in their warm winter outfits is so cute
I've been ignoring the seasonal DIY grinding though because nope.

Also the winter clothes are some of my favourites, and I'm enjoying dressing up my villagers in new comfy coats and jumpers
I really like seeing the changes in game as each season comes and I love seeing the snow covering the ground, trees and shrubs, especially as I only see snow here once every blue moon. Also the winter DIYs are some of my favourites (after the Autumn/Fall ones), in particular all the illuminated ones, and I think the island always looks very pretty when decorated for Christmas. Plus agree with others about winter clothing, I've always preferred warm, cosy jumpers and coats and I think they have some really nice options in game.
However I think I will have got tired of all the snow before the season changes as while I really like it when it comes along I generally prefer the overall aesthetic of the island when its green, find it easier decorating too without snow, but I'll be making the most of winter while its here.
Both in real life and in these games, the latter half of the year is my favorite. Autumn/Fall is my favorite season, but Winter is a close second. While ice is a definite downside to Winter, and shoveling driveways and whatnot can be a bother, I love the aesthetics of snow and I prefer the cooler temperatures of Autumn and Winter to the sometimes scorching heat of Spring and Summer. No shoveling needs to be done and you don't have to worry about driving on icy roads in Animal Crossing games though, so we're left with my favorite part about Winter.
While there's more biodiversity in the warmer months in terms of fish and bugs to catch, I like the snowy scenery and I enjoy building Snowpeople. I'm bummed that the Snowman, Snowmam, and Snowtyke from the previous games weren't included in New Horizons, especially the Snowman because I loved the Bingo, but it is what it is.
Hopefully Brewster and his Roost Café will make a return sooner than later, so my characters can walk around the winter wonderland, bundled up in their cute Winter clothes, and carry around their carryout cups of coffee to keep warm.
I love winter...both in real life, and in this game. In the game, there is honestly more to do in the winter than any other season. Catching snowflakes or building snowmen might not be a lot...but, it's still more than your average day without snow. Plus, I really like the sparkly effect on the ground and the overall white aesthetic.
I live on a tropical country so I can only experience winter through games like Animal Crossing. I prefer the colors of autumn but I like the snowscape and wintry vibes. Also, it feels more festive.
But winter is also quite dangerous with all the blizzards and stuff. And I've seen and heard enough news that snow is only great the first time, but can be a chore and a huge nuissance after a while.
I don't really like it... It's cool the first weeks, but it gets boring after a while. You need a lot of empty space to roll snow boys, which I don't have. Also got annoyed trying to make them perfect. My island does not match the snow, and I didn't want to tear down my tropical hotel, for an example. I also enjoy seeing the colours of the grass and trees around the island. I'm in the south hem so my winter was back in July, and I almost stopped playing because of it.. There are almost no bugs around and I missed having more things to do
I didn't like it in previous games because there was less to do (no bugs besides the dung beetle) and the white got boring after december.
However, I like it a lot more in New Horizons. It looks a lot prettier and there are actually decent bugs to catch. The ability to decorate outside also really helps.
