I thought it was beautiful when I first saw, and while I do still like it I’m ready for the green grass to come back. Snow looks good, but winter isn’t really my favorite season.

I love every season, but I think I like Winter the most in game and in real life! I love the cronch cronch cronch of the snow! I love the snowflakes! I love the added layers of clothing you can have fun with! I love seeing your breath! It's all very cute. Plus I like how quiet and gentle the game becomes, just like when there's a real snowfall and things get muted.

I used to absolutely love the winter season back in ACNL. For some reason I don't feel the same magical way in ACNH, I can't really tell why. Nevertheless, I'm excited to head back into spring season, I think that's my favorite season of all in ACNH. c: (and I might just TT to get there as I'm really impatient).

I think winter is really pretty and I do enjoy it for the first couple of weeks, but admittedly I am getting bored of it now. I would love it if the snow kind of faded in and out, so some days it would melt a bit and there'd be patches of grass showing through, like it does in real life sometimes. Or even if the winter didn't go on for quite as long. But I do still try to appreciate it. I just can't wait for that first day when the grass appears again!

I used to avoid playing during winter in new leaf, i tt to skip it, but i dont want to tt in new horizons yet. My reason is that it never snows in my city so having snow in game feels kinda starnge to me. It is funny since this is a game with talking animals but apparently having something realstic as snow is where i draw the line lol.

to me it is definitely the prettiest winter has ever been in an animal crossing game and it does make you feel all cozy playing on your snowy island while it's cold outside in the real world too, but i am personally just not a huge fan of winter/rain/cold weather so it is probably my least favorite season in animal crossing. i always feel like most of my town/island looks worse in winter compared to the other 3 seasons, but i guess that might just be because i rely a lot on greenery and plants etc. it's still aesthetically very pleasing though

To be honest, I love all the seasons, but winter is definitely a joy to have, love all that snow! Especially since it very rarely snows where I live.

I like it. It fairly closely relates to weather during the various seasons in my country and I like that each season is a bit different in game.

My fave part about winter are the auroras, shiny snow at night and making snowboys.

it’s so cute! i like the snow and the music, as well as the cozy sweaters and the holidays. The only thing that bothers me are the snow boys. Like, who cares if i didn’t make you perfectly? I still MADE YOU. Which i should still be rewarded for.

I love the snow crunch under my character's feet, that's probably my favorite aspect. It's just such a nice detail!

I'd count yourself lucky. Winter can be nice to look at, but it's all around terrible. Freezing temperatures are miserable and torture, and driving in snow is just the worst for the average car. You'll be slipping and sliding everywhere, so you need to drive with extra caution, stay in lower gears, drive slower, and start breaking sooner (You don't want to slide through an intersection or spin around trying to make a turn). Anytime you want to go anywhere you have to spend time dressing in layers and coats, and then lug them around everywhere you go. You also have to spend countless minutes scraping ice off your car windows. Your car will also get super dirty the entire season. I think one of the worst parts is the icy sidewalks though. You have to walk extra slow and pray you don't slip and fall.

I have relatives staying in the United States. They also mentioned the very same thing. You will only like seeing snow for the first week. Then you will realise how horrible it is afterward.

Maybe I should travel one day and experience it myself. (That's providing the pandemic situation improves.)

I do really like it! But I find that my island doesn't look as pretty with all the snow. But that's just a matter of all the paths/decor not being complimentary to snow since I designed it with green/brown/reddish grass in mind. I love the pink camellia bushes with snow on them though! I think they're my favourite bushes now! And now that I have my snowmaestro achievement, I can make funny looking snow boys Plus the winter clothing at Able's are SO cute. And the lights on the trees too. So overall, I love the winter, but my town isn't optimised to look it's best during this season. But one of the worst parts are there are barely any bugs

I liked it at first, but the novelty has worn off. I love how the hedges look while I sometimes find my arched stone paths a bit too much with all the snow making the pale gray feel a bit overwhelming.

I love the crunching footsteps and the music during the snow is magical, but I detest how dead und unwelcoming the plants, trees, paths, weeds, beaches, etc. look. For a short period of time or while it is snowing I really enjoy winter, but decorating with everything being white and sterile, I hate it. I automatically dislike my island more just because of winter and I am looking forwards to the lively spring colors so much!!

I’m on the fence... I like the way the trees/shrubs and fences/bridges look with snow on top. I also like the northern lights at night. However I’m not a huge fan of all the white on the ground and I’m also not a huge fan of how loooong it all seems to stay that way. I just get tired of seeing white everywhere.

Overall though, I quite like all the seasons except for summer with that very specific green.

I liked it to start off with tbh. I remember going to a southern hemisphere island in June/July and seeing the snow for the first time in New Horizons, and thought it was beautiful, now that we've had it for a while it's a bit boring. I like seeing the snowflakes falling down, and like creating the snowboys now I don't need to make them perfect for the recipes I do love though the extra mile they went with the snow on fences, trees, I keep thinking the snow on the coconut trees should fall on my head at any minute and I wish it would, like if you're shaking a tree or something, occasionally it'd be cool if you got a pile of snow on you, maybe I'm just weird! :'D

Winter is my favorite time in real life and so far it's my favorite in game for new horizon too. I really love the way the snow sits on everything (bamboo, trees, bushes, fencing) and the snow looks good with my mostly stone decorated town (to echo what a previous poster expressed).
I kinda wish the flowers gained a frosty appearance similar to the weeds...that would be my only complaint on the season effects.
