i kinda like winter but i kinda do not

In game, I love it. I'm finding a while new color scheme for my island decorations, and winter outfits are too cute (pom-pom boots for the win!).

In real life, I am ready for spring.

it’s so cute! i like the snow and the music, as well as the cozy sweaters and the holidays. The only thing that bothers me are the snow boys. Like, who cares if i didn’t make you perfectly? I still MADE YOU. Which i should still be rewarded for.

You are rewarded for it though. You get a snowman!

I hate it in real life! In animal crossing, I would be fine with it if it didn’t last until the end of February.

Winter is my favorite time in real life and so far it's my favorite in game for new horizon too. I really love the way the snow sits on everything (bamboo, trees, bushes, fencing) and the snow looks good with my mostly stone decorated town (to echo what a previous poster expressed).
I kinda wish the flowers gained a frosty appearance similar to the weeds...that would be my only complaint on the season effects.

Ditto on the flowers bit. I wish that they would at least get frosty, colors muted a little. And it'd be awesome if other items that are outside got covered in snow too. Like... you put the item out and the next day it's covered. If you pick a item up and place it again, there's no snow on it, basically "brushing it off." Little things like that would really make it even more dynamic.

I do like winter as I love the sound of the snow when walking, the festive trees, and the snowflakes.

Sort of in the middle. The snow is exciting and all but after a while it gets old. I don’t like the color of the trees in winter but I do love lights in my island.

I do like the winter! I like the spring with the cherry blossoms more, though. I wish we could have an item that would create seasonal overlays for our islands so they were always that specific seasonal appearance.

I love it just not for this long. I wish fall and spring were longer and that the grass had a prettier color in fall. And if the trees were prettier in fall too. I would time travel to go back to fall except that it's not very nice looking. Winter looks lovely but I'm tired of snow boys.

I love seeing the lights on the cedar trees in game! Also I love the act of building snow boys for DIYs and large snowflakes, honestly my favorite season in the game, although Christmas Eve was disappointing

It has definitely lost its novelty by now. But I can accept it, it's not like they could just invent an extra season where everything is purple.

The island was green for the first 7 months that I played and it also got old, so I'll happily keep it like this until we go back to that! Also, some wisdom from Eloise, who was apparently bored of the colours as well:

I think it looks cute with all the Christmas decoration, but it can be boring after a while. I prefer to see the green grass than snow.

I hate how cold and dark everyday is during winter, but I love getting a break from work and being able to spend time with family. I would say I'm indifferent

I am not sure why as coming from the UK at the moment everything is cold bleak and miserable. I was so excited for winter in animal crossing and i really love it still as it is a perfect version of winter. In real life you have the reality of ice and travelling which makes it hard.

The one thing that would make winter in ac perfect is if we could get Tortimers island back. It would be perfect in game and in real life at the moment some sunshine instead of weather in Scotland

I didn’t play as much as I wanted to and had to tt a little to finish getting the diys. I keep losing interest in playing because frustrated with furniture choice. Right now I am taking a break

Yeah I feel like they really jumped the shark with putting the snow diy out so late to the point where you wouldn't be able to decorate in time for Xmas. I feel like when the holiday rolls around this year (if I am still playing) it will be more of a chill experience because it won't be a race to try to fight against the rng gods.

Nope, to me it feels really dull and boring, the whole island just seems so cold and bleak, not helped by the shade of green the ground is which just gives off cold vibes. For me it's a total summer game, when everything's bright, sunny and warm.
