I saw it a few weeks ago and I LOVED it. I was actually scared throughout the entire movie and I liked how their was comedy added in. It's actually one of my interests now and i'm a big fan. I've looked through the fandom but i'm not really interested in joining. I know clown memes are getting old but I still laugh at them and I want to just info dump about it, but no one I know is really interested or cares.

To be honest, I'm kind of bitter towards the mainstream horror industry right now after being disappointed so many times. Most of the ones I see now are ones that aren't in theatres anymore because they're so avant-garde that they would flop if they were put in competition with a movie that relies on jump scares for the scare factor.

I haven't seen IT, so I can't really comment, but I'd be surprised if it proves me wrong about anything. If it's anything like Annabelle, I won't even bother.

I'm sick of hearing about it. Same applies to Cuphead.

Don't really know much about cuphead but it seems like another fnaf situation. I just let people be though and let them like what they like

It's nothing like annabelle, I thought it'd be just like every other horror movie but it wasn't for me. I found it really hard to hate but maybe i'm being biased. I won't spoil anything but I guess you'll have to see for yourself.

It didn't scare me very much but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It was a pretty good movie. :) Glad they left out the orgy scene from the book loool.

it wasn't scary imo so i was disappointed in that aspect, but i loved the interaction between the kids in it. i guess i found it more humorous than scary. i quite liked it.

Clowns creep me out and these numerous remakes and random sequel movies don't appeal to me either way.

it was only scary at the egg part in the library but other than that it wasnt that scary. but still an amazing movie wayyy better than the original. the characters were great too

It wasn't "scary" for me, but I really enjoyed it. I am so desensitized by constantly watching horror movies and having real life experiences way scarier so like most scary moves have a hard time scaring me. I enjoyed the comedy and enjoyed when the movie scared the others in the audience. =D That always makes me laugh.

Annabelle was bad because it was all fake... they took advantage of Lorraine's death to make the new movies fictitious and all "Hollywood" no story. So it's a real shame. Lorraine was the cutest little old lady ever, if you haven't seen her on Paranormal State I suggest you do, because she is just precious. At least with the Conjuring movies they had her advise(that they seldom took) to make the story more true to the original actual story. People are saying the newer Annabelle is scarier the origin or creation or whatever it's called. But I'm honestly so past it at this point, I hated it from the moment they showed that horrible doll they decided to use. Like honestly if they'd had made it a Raggedy Ann doll it would have been scarier in my opinion, can you imagine them making an animatronic Raggedy Ann and have to moving all creepily through the house? WAY creepier than playing off the creepy "dummy" look they gave her.

I really liked it. It wasn't that scary, but the whole time I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happened next. There was only one part that made me jump. I love clowns and horror movies, that's probably why I liked it so much.

To be honest, no. The kids in that movie were terrible, I didn't like them at all. And Pennywise looks so much worse now.

I thought it was great! I grew up watching the original made for TV movie with Tim Curry as Pennywise. I appreciated that they made the 2017 movie a lot more violent and gorey than the first movie, since it's truer to the book and really brought home the terror of Pennywise as a horrible monster that literally eats children and feeds off of fear and despair. I wouldn't say the movie was super scary, but I already knew most of what would happen since they didn't go too far from the book (which characters live etc), but the effects were really good and I loved the actor playing Pennywise and I thought they got really good kids for the Losers Club.
