i've also had a couple issues with the game. twice now its frozen and has to be force-closed before displaying the crash screen anyway. at least one time was on a menu, but i can't remember the other. real annoying ngl.

i also noticed you can no longer order crafted items from scrooge which is also a huge bummer. since my plaza is completely decorated now, flowers barely spawn, which means i'll never get enough of those white/pink ones to craft another trellis lol. makes me think they should maybe implement a flower seller or gardening

Man...I'm down to my last few quests for the holiday star path. Think I only have four left. But a couple of them are really dragging. - I haven't been able to catch any kingfish at all. I caught exactly one when I first got the quest. Now I can fish all up and down Dazzle Beach and I still catch everything BUT that one fish that I need. I've moved through about a dozen other quests in the time that I've been trying to catch those kingfish...and I swear, it will end up being the last one I complete.

*Edit - I completed all the tasks. Weirdly enough, I started catching a bunch of kingfish back to back out of nowhere...almost as if the game had been keeping them locked until the end. Anyway...this is the first time I have completed a whole starpath.

Completed the 2nd part for Donald Duck Quest.
Woody Quest- For one Quest don't place the item in your house. Read that it stays there.
Save before paying for Woody and Buzz house. Both profiles had issues with error or freezing during Welcome pictures.

There is a Glitch for Stitch Level 7 Quest that messes up your crafting table. On Twitter they recommend that you don't start the Quest. Hot-fix for most platforms could be today and next week for Switch.

I've been really enjoying the overhauling process of my town layout now that I've done most of the other things. Finally making some nice progress with layout and how/where I'd like things to be. - Only big complaint is that the ponds all take up a bunch of space, and you are required to keep them where they are. - Would love to see the game updated so that you can actually move those.

WIP of some parts of my Valley.

Now 100% done with all my quests. Waiting for the next update to arrive, which seems to be only a couple days away. - I was recently at my brother's house, watching my niece play the game...and I don't know how my brother does it, because...it's so hard to watch someone play this game, especially a kid who can't read. Her favorite thing to do was to walk around and use the watering can on the turtles. Very cute...but also very pointless. Lol.

Premium Shop has been added with the update. You can buy moonstones and items but the price is high.
Poster wrote that it will cost about $300 a month if you buy everything. Another poster wrote the Palace costs 3,750 moonstones or $18.10 Canada prices. 14,500 moonstones price is $69.99 Canada.

Updated the game this afternoon and plan on playing later tonight. I have about 10,000K Moonstones and have no plans on spending them.

Yeah...the premium shop is a huge scam...and the items in the star path seem like they are less exciting than previous paths as well. Definitely a fair bit of disappointing stuff happening with this latest release. - That said...at least there is finally some new stuff to occupy my time (for a while).

I won't be using the Premium Shop as the prices are a rip off, plus the new Star Path is nothing short of mediocre at best. I expect to see Disney Dreamlight Valley to become completely monetised in the coming months with everything being behind paywall after paywall.

Oh well back to Hogwarts Legacy I go. 👋🏻

Paid items like these should never be more than a few dollars each. The prices are truly insane for what you get. - (Non-interactive models that you can place and look at). That's what you get. It's not like there is a purpose to any of the premium offerings. I would feel ripped off even if these items cost something like $2.99 or $4.99 each...let alone the insane $15 or so. If the palace cost $1.99 I might consider paying for it. That's it. The price point is insane.

Also...Mirabel's house is HUGE. Normally I wouldn't be bothered...but it is seriously gigantic. I did manage to find a place I could put it around my main plaza...but it really took some doing. And I'm still not 100% happy with it. Not exactly sure where we're supposed to put some of these things. Which brings up another question...(what exactly do the people who pay for the premium items actually do with them?) How big is the palace? And where do you make it fit? Crazy.

They need to patch the game so we can move the ponds that are in the meadow. The current locked placement of the ponds really limits the placement of buildings. - I'm guessing they haven't done this yet because Ariel and Ursula travel between them...and they probably didn't consider this when they coded the game. In other words...maybe the ponds need to be where they are, because Ariel and Ursula will only appear in those places. So...hopefully they can fix that. It's a big issue for the overall layout of things.

The Palace is a skin for your house. Watched a Youtube video and you need about 2 more squares on each side of your house.

Ohhhhh...that makes sense.

Also, not sure if that makes it more or less valuable to me. A skin makes more sense, but a whole new object would have been a whole new object. (Who has ever heard of a $15 skin for anything?)

I bought the game while it was on sale in the Switch eShop last week and so far I love the game! I usually don’t buy eShop cards to buy things in games other than the monthly pass and sometimes costume in Pokémon Cafe Remix but I used one to get everything in the 100th Mickey Anniversary Celebration. Got every single item and it was worth it. I really love the Platinum Mickey Ears and how they look like the6 are glowing in certain lighting. So far I have Mickey, Merlin, Moana, Maui, Remy, Goofy, Scrooge, Kristoff, and Mirabel as friends. Still working on the Donald quest but I can’t find a second Emerald and it’s been almost an entire week since I started playing and got the quest. Also can’t find the gem for the first cave puzzle needed to free Ursula. I really want to free her as she is such an interesting character in her own way.

That’s rather ironic given one of the sequels is literally called Stitch Has a Glitch.

So...I have an interesting observation. - Previously, I had moved all of the available pillars down to my beach area. (I just like having them all together by the cave entrance). BUT...when I went to move the pillar from the Frosted Heights, it won't let me do it. - I'm really hoping this is an oversight that gets patched in due time.

Trying to do the level 7 quest for Mirabel...it requires feeding two raccoons in the forest biome.

Bruh...it's not possible. - Guides say that you can only approach the raccoons when they are "looking down". They literally never do this. They run around on all fours, then they stand up and look at you from a distance. The guides say to slowly approach them when they are standing, but to stop if they are "looking around". I honestly have no idea what behavior to look for. It feels like they are always looking around. Honestly not sure who designed this aspect of the game or why they made some animals impossible to get near.

I just watched a video of how you do it, and I refuse to believe that this could be the intention of the game design. - It's basically the same as the tarantula in Animal Crossing...but completely broken. You can take ONE tiny step at a time. That's it. No creep window...just one step. It takes a solid minute or two to creep up to the raccoon. It's insane. And how would anyone actually figure that out if they were just playing and not reading about how to do it? Wild...

So, I'm enjoying this game a lot again. - The grind aspect of it always appeals to me in the end.

I wasn't going to use moonstones on the star path, because I don't particularly care about most of the items...but I decided to do it anyway (just for something to do)...and I'm glad I did. - I still refuse to spend any real money on the game...but the moonstones are easy enough to stockpile between star paths. Having the full star path open is really a necessity to keep my attention, I'm learning. Otherwise I just run out of stuff to do.

Aside from just grinding away at the tasks for the star path, I'm also doing a ton of design work for the layout of my town. Slowly acquiring more interesting items to use here and there. Getting some larger sections laid-out and making it easier to just sprinkle items of interest here and there. Feels good.

Good day of playing for me today...got some great new items.

Scrooge sold me a bioluminescent palm tree...I promptly purchased an additional four and planted them all over my beach. They look cool in the daytime, but I can't wait to see them at night. - Also built the elegant gazebo and added it to my fountain/statue walkway. To say that looks amazing would be an understatement. - I need to take some new photos later to show everyone how things are coming along. - I built a street vender/bar/arcade area a couple days ago also. Finally starting to really like the way my main areas are looking. Everything from the plaza to the meadow and beach look amazing now. The other areas still need a lot of work.

Update has been fun. The Disney parks stuff is WAY better than the 100th anniversary stuff we got last time. It's kinda crazy. Almost feels like this is the stuff we should have got for that. Anyway...huge improvement. Now I just need to find space to place it all. Seriously, devs...can we can a space upgrade or something? Ability to move the ponds at least?

On a positive note...I do see that they fixed the totem in the Frosted Heights. So that can finally be moved freely. I was worried it was an intentional thing that wasn't going to be fixed. Quite relieved to see that I can now put it with the others.

The alien toys are going to take forever to find, I guess. Either they are dropping little by little, or I'm just terrible at finding them. Either way, 25 is quite a lot for one of these quests...and they're small...and I keep checking behind buildings and other objects to see if they're hiding anywhere weird. AND...I do think they are releasing only a few each day. Really not sure if all 25 are already on the map. I doubt that.
