oof, been a while since i commented here, but-
played the update for a few days now, and it's. mid-tier? micro-transactions are one thing, but the price of wall-e's quest, as most people online seem to agree, is pretty egregious. (as are most prices in the premium shop, but.) especially since it turns out they said this game would be completely free (well, after the initial purchase) until
after early-access. i haven't completed the main story yet, but hearing that it apparently already concludes with this update feels a bit. fast? makes me wonder what they're going to do next for it, since i think the forgotten stuff had too much potential to be concluded this early.
the main thing i loved this update are the mannequins, but even they're a bit buggy rip. i changed into an outfit on one of them, and it turned my skirt from beige to. black asdfghj. the little red dot in scrooge's shop indicating whether or not you already own something is cool and long overdue, too, but i hear that's
also buggy for some people. i was really looking forward to an increased item limit but, of course, it's not an option for me because i play on switch : )) my game already crashes multiple times a session, which is probably the fault of said hardware anyway, but i generally don't lag in-game because of the item limit (and i'm already almost at max), the crashes always happen after doing something quest-related or coming out of a menu/inventory. when the game does eventually go F2P, i might get it on my laptop and see if it runs okay there, then switch over for the item increase. (though, go figure, moonstones don't transfer over.) makes me wonder how they're going to swing multiplayer if other platforms can have item increases and the switch can't. it also kind of sucks because, yes, the switch is generally mediocre, and that's not
necessarily gameloft's fault, but it also means i paid the same price for this game as people who can now get more out of it in the decorating sense. (and also in terms of performance imo.)
the ability to customize furniture is cool, too! especially the rugs, since there are so few in the game. unfortunately, the design tools are... frustrating, to put it mildly, on console, and i envy pc players who can make gorgeous things. (the clothing designer also just has a whole host of glitches for me rip.) definitely waiting/hoping for design sharing a la animal crossing, so i can use some of the gorgeous dresses and outfits i've seen people create, especially as someone who already owns all the clothes in the game. the path borders were another thing i was looking forward to that, sadly, turned out to be. bad. it requires you to remake
all your paths from scratch if you want them to have borders, and apparently they're
super finicky to place down anyway and generally don't line up. i was hoping for something you could overlay, but alas. maybe they'll change that in the future, but i'm not too hopeful. for now i'll stick to rock borders asdfghjk.
anyway, not sure how many people know about the secret side-quest that they've been adding each update since the start, but since the final reward is super cute and fitting for pride month,
here's a guide from the reddit. i've been doing it for a couple of updates now, and i wish some of the actual quests were more like it tbh. haven't got the final prize yet since i haven't completed the main storyline, but

hopefully soon.
