I would like to believe in somethin like that, as I don't 100% believe in ghosts/some supernatural. Spmetimes it sounds like somethin out of a sci-fi, but then again our world is weird and has loads of unexplained phenomena happening. I don't rule it out as it could be a possibility.

I neither believe nor disbelieve in ghosts. Like I said in another thread on the forums about tarot cards and astrology, while I might lean more in the direction of not thinking that these sorts of things have any legitimacy, I can't say with certainty that they do not. Much like religion, I would consider myself agnostic in this matter. I can't be absolutely sure in this life that a God exists, much less whether if there is one that they're even anything like what humans assume them to be. This would extend to matters of the afterlife and souls and, indeed, ghosts. As such, I see no reason to form a stance of belief or disbelief.

All that said, I do find the possibility fun to consider. I've always liked a good ghost story and would like to visit supposedly haunted locations, to sate my curiosity and for the experience.

I've been watching a lot of buzzfeed unsolved so I have to ask-

I used to believe in ghosts completely, but as I get older I've grown more skeptical. I mean, yes, I believe there are plenty of supernatural things beyond our understanding, but maybe not in the ways that we think we understand. Some rules seem too easy to bend, while others seem too rigid.

That being said, I have an extreme respect for the dead. I can't even be near a real skeleton that was donated for science without needing to say hello and thank you to them, really.

I tend to take a "the supernatural isn't for me to spectate about" approach to things like this. I'm not gonna claim something is real if I can't see it, but I'm also not gonna claim something's fake if I can't prove it's fake.

That being said, I had a small handful of incidents from my childhood that definitely pushed me towards believing for a certain amount of time.

I don't really believe in like Hollywood movie style ghosts, but I kind of believe that people we knew that passed away can still communicate with us. Admittedly this belief is largely influenced by my grandmother who very strongly believes in this and tells me every time I see her about messages she received from our deceased relatives.

I don't believe in the white sheet type of ghost but I do believe people's spirits can get stuck in this world. I also believe deceased loved ones can reach out to us. I've had experiences in my life where no matter how hard I've tried to find a scientific or logical explanation I couldn't. I understand about others not believing though and I never try to convince people to believe.

I believe it's the left over, of what they had in them the last moment. Like, some kind of electric energy? The thing that's called personality or something is actually the electric signals in the brain, so. In that term, yes I believe it could happen that it stays under certain conditions - signals that are left over by strong feelings, not the whole personality or person. I have seen those kind of stuff a lot when I was younger, so I know something could exist. Something. And I see them that way.

I used to when I was a kid and it was very hard for me because I would do nightmares about ghosts. I would also be very scared of the dark (I still am up to this day) because of this.

Yes and no. I have witnessed some strange things myself and some of my family members have shared experiences with me that I believe to be true. My mom is obsessed with ghost stories and would often take us to supposedly haunted locations. But we never saw anything when we were looking for it. Despite my experiences, I've never been truly satisfied to say that I did, in fact, see a ghost.

I tend to be somewhat skeptical even though I do believe. I believe that there are things that we cannot explain, but whether that is a ghost in the sense that most people think of, that is where I'm not so sure. I believe that it's possible people can leave imprints of themselves behind without actually being here as a ghost. I believe that there are still so many scientific discoveries to be made that could open our eyes to other explanations. So, yes I do believe there are unexplained things, but I also believe as we continue to advance we'll keep finding more and more answers to discredit the bulk of what we call supernatural. But perhaps, some of it will turn out to be real after all.

no, but the personal stories ive heard from some of my family members are quite interesting. its not something i can really believe in though.

Definitely! I believe in spirits but not in the way that the media portrays it as and I also agree with passed loved ones being able to reach out to us. My mum experienced something very similar when I was very young, and it still baffles me to this day.

Ghost hunting topics and investigating the paranormal always fascinates me, yet I also have this huge fear of seeing something for myself without any reason. Suppose its just the fear of the unknown and just hearing other people's stories is quite enough for me.

Knowing that a loved one is looking over you must feel quite reassuring and comforting though.

I want to believe that ghosts are real but I've never experienced anything paranormal. It's hard to believe something if you've never seen it yourself. But it's pretty plausible for spirits to exist if you believe in the afterlife. So a part of me believes they could really exist but I'm still skeptical. That said it's hard not to find paranormal stories fascinating and thrilling to listen to. Although I usually find them too scary to listen to because scared a ghost will actually appear...
