I'd like to believe in them, but haven't seen any evidence that points to ghosts existing. Wish I could experience something paranormal, since it would give me something to talk about.
I've not really had any experiences with ghosts, so I am in the middle really. I think my believes of them being real has been fed by the fear of the unknown of it all, so that's what I would about that. My mum did once see these two little victorian ghost kids running up our stairs.
I did have this weird thing happen to me, I dunno I wouldn't put it under a ghost experience.
Me and my mum were looking after someone's house and their house alarm went off, so in the early morning we had to go turn it off and check things were alright.
There was a door at the top of the stairs that without any wind (it was cold on that day too, but no wind) slowly opened and the moment i opened, it felt like this warmth just flew into me. I really dunno what it was. Like warmed me in the chest and that was it?
I would like to have an experience or believe in it fully, but then I would be a bit sad for them. I did like the idea that ghosts are just like visuals of what happened in the past and it's replying itself.
I believe in ghosts and paranormal stuff, I’ve had a couple of paranormal experiences that haven’t made any sense however! I feel like people throw the term paranormal around far too quickly rather than actually sit there and try and figure out all possibilities first
There is no scientific proof they exist and I've not had any supernatural experiences myself, so I don't believe in natural or physical ghosts. However, I think that they can be "real" for some people. If someone is truly convinced of their existence, they could for example start to interpreting certain happenings as the work of ghosts. There's even people who've made a career out of hunting ghosts. Clearly the concept of ghosts has the power to influence the lives of actual people, regardless if they exist or not. In that sense I guess they're sort of "real", even though I don't believe in their natural existence.
No, I really do not. I think I would have to experience something myself that I could only explain as "yeah okay that was a ghost" for me to change my mind, and I think that would be really difficult since I would most likely never come to the conclusion that it was a ghost.
I guess I think people who say they have witnessed ghosts either are lying, experienced something weird and jumped to conclusions, overexaggerating it, or just are like... sort of untrustworthy. There are plenty of competent and logical people who believe in ghosts and claim to have seen one themselves, but I just cannot believe any of them.
Idk man lol. Ngl supernatural stuff scares me because I am Christian and in addition to believing in God I believe in other "paranormal" things (like the devil, demons, etc). But I can watch fictional paranormal TV shows for example, but if it says "based on a true story" I'm out. For me, I just trust that God will never ever let me see a ghost because it would scare the crap out of me (even if it was my grandma's ghost or something), but if they exist and others want to talk to them through seances and stuff go for it lol, but I will not be contacting a ghost or spirit myself.
I have never personally experienced anything paranormal (yet) in my life but I also wouldn’t dismiss it completely just cause it’s never happened to me. There’s a lot of things i don’t quite understand in the world. Ghost can be everywhere around us or no where, who knows? I like watching documentaries or other people’s experiences with paranormal encounters though, it’s very interesting! Still I don’t think I would ever mess with a Ouija board or things of that nature. Real or not, either way I’d probably crap my pants if I ever did encounter one.
I definitely believe in ghosts and personally know for a fact that they exist. My friend’s old house was haunted. One night at a sleepover at their house when everyone else in the house except for me was asleep, I heard it: the distinct sound of footsteps running up and down the stairs and towards the bedroom door.
I was also once on a call with another friend who was the only one staying over at that haunted house. They called me, scared, and mentioned that the doors were opening and shutting all by themselves and they kept hearing thuds throughout the house. I stayed with them on that call to make sure they were safe until they fell asleep.

All my other friends heard the footsteps too. It seems that the ghost(/ghosts?) only appeared when everyone else but one person was asleep.
I don't think I really believe in ghosts all that much. I want to believe in them because I find the supernatural to be super fascinating and I like to feel like there's more to the world that I live in, more than what I already know, but I haven't really had any particular moments where I felt like I truly believed in ghosts... maybe one day, who knows. It would probably take an encounter all my own. When people speak directly to me about their otherworldly encounters though, I try to hold conversation with them the best that I can though and I try to remain respectful even if I don't necessarily believe that their own experience was that which involved spirits. It usually also depends on what they tell me at the time I guess!!
uh, yes...
i believe that ghosts are people who died before their time and Jesus allowed them to enter into a limbo between life and death thus giving them a chance to receive the word before they get judged before God. I know someone who's said that they met a child ghost and they taught her the word and then the ghost accepted the word and disappeared :/
it's all a bit creepy tho. I dislike the thought of ghosts in general
Nope, but I think that might change if I do have a paranormal experience. I live in a very old town where one of the Civil Wars of the US take place, so it’s not uncommon to have “ghosts sightings” here. In fact, I live in 5 minute drive away from a graveyard. However, I never had an encounter so I don’t really believe in it.
I do believe in the supernatural because I apparently used to speak to a ghost.
In our previous house, according to my mum I would sit on the stairs staring at the wall, but I was actually speaking to a girl who looked only slightly older than me that my parents couldn't see. I would ask her questions like "Are you crying?" and "Why are you sad?"
When my parents asked who I was talking to, I would describe her clothes and how she had "a silly hat" that resembled a bonnet that girls would often wear in the Victorian era.
It sounds super cliche and I highly doubt it ever actually happened, but my mum never makes up random stories for the sake of it and I do have memories of sitting on the stairs for long periods of time.
Plus ghosts are just cool in my opinion, even if they sound dumb or whatever to some people. If they do exist and I end up becoming one eventually, I'd definitely be a chill, and only slightly annoying one.
I just hope poltergeists and anything similar aren't real, they're aggressive vengeful spirits and they suck.
I believe in them. I've experienced some stuff like random pots and dishes falling out of cupboards, toilet seat slamming in the middle of the night and other things which made me a believer.
Could it be energy manifesting somehow? Could it be something nefarious?
I'd like to think they're just pranking us and just having some fun lol.
Not really because I just haven't ever had any haunting experiences (and I've gone to "haunted" areas)... I think it could be possible but for my own sanity I deny them X3
From a spiritual understanding and perspective, 'ghosts' are a very general and ultimately limited concept. Ghosts can refer to a lot of things, and not just one stand-alone idea or impression. For example, ghosts aren't always malevolent. They may be deceased loved ones. They may be angels or demons. But overall, the generally transient nature of ghosts makes them so that they are able to influence and be influenced by whatever energies may surround them. So, say you are in a state of fear. Then, that fear will be magnified or internalized by that ghost or entity. It's in the eye of the beholder, essentially. Because, as with anything, what you focus on grows. And what you resist persists.
